I found this posted over in the SIMHQ forums and had a good laugh. By laugh I mean a sarcastic laugh, it's pathetic that this is a true story. Â Why do programmers have a problem with fixing bugs? I've beta tested before for a game and also helped to test many mods and missions for the Flashpoint community. I've lost track now of all the various bugs I've reported to people over the years in beta test that end up in the final release any way. A lot of times the bugs are so appallingly obvious that you would think the programmers would be ashamed that such a painfully apparent bug made it into the release. (A perfect example is an APC that RPGs fly through, I mean if you make a tank for Flashpoint it would seem that firing a rocket at it in game would be part of the battery of test to put it throught) Â I honestly believe most programmers be they professional payed developers or non profit modders, I believe that they truly think a beta test session is just to drop something into a sand box level and take screenshots of it. Â I know when I release a mission and it has a bug in it I feel ashamed. If some one points out a bug I try to figure out how to fix it, I don't get all indignant and attack the messenger. Take pride in your work and if it's broken fix it, if some one finds a mistake in your work and lets you know remember it's not their fault it's yours, you are the programmer. You should thank them for pointing out the mistake and then see if you can fix it. Â Sheesh.

The few of us who survived on this mission ran low on ammo as the enemy spawned infintely. Our evac chopper abandoned us and I believe only one of us was extrated. The rest of us were abandoned and MIA presumed dead.

Honestly I don't know. I have a very strong feeling that it is not ARMA. I almost wonder if it could have been Medieval 2 Total War, though I have very strong doubts again. %99 chance it's some main stream FPS that I've never played or have any interest in playing.

Cool some one else played that game besides me I owned it and still never beat it. That game was like Contra on steroids I loved it. I did manage to make to the last mission once. Barts Nightmare was hard as heck as well. I barely remember that one but I can only remember beating the level where your floating throug ha blood stream or something and all these nuclear atoms keep shouting "hello there!" Cabal ate all my money as well Baslchoiw. For me the hardest most expensive game of all time was Terminator 2 the arcade game. I probably put enough quarters in that machine to have put my self and all my great grandchildren through college. However I suppose this list is supposed to be hardest PC games. As for AVP. I don't get what the big deal was, it never frightened me. As a matter of fact I didn't realize it was even supposed to be scary and until all these years later and I read people all the time refering to it as the scariest game of all time and their reactions to it.

A little off topic but still on topic... Â I must say I hate those stupid little buzz words "digital distribution". The only one I hate more is digital download. When ever I see a game web site advertising a game and it says "the game is also available as a digital download." I find my self asking, is there any other kind of download? I mean is there such thing as an analog download?

It was very strange I mean I heard loud roaring jet engines and could tell by the sound it was military so I ran out on the balcony looked up and squinted expecting to see an F18 or F16 and what do I see? I just cannot do anything right. I now have the textures set on the 0.00 LOD instead of the geometry lod. So now in game the textures show up. However now you can walk through the box! Before when the textures didn't show up in game (as I was a dope and put them on the geometry lod) at least the actual geometry was working and you could not walk through the box, and could infact shoot it and such. Any idea whay I have done wrong this time?
