I don't want a trigger to activate one that's miles away, I would just use a timed trigger for that. I hate people with a bad attitude. If you say one thing they don't like, then they bitch and bitch and bitch at you. So, if there's a complete asshole in a game, I just stay quiet, or talk very little, since i don't want to spend the entire game arguing with someone with the mentality of a bratty little 12 year old punk. There's no point in that. Also, people who play one of the crappest MP maps ever made (usually one they have made themselves) and say 'this map rocks'. You go in and it is incredibly boring (it's happened a few times to me).

I have SC, too... at least you didn't blurt out the ending to SC, Rob, like some people who have completed Resistance and have blurted out the ending to that. I now know the ending to it and I am desperately trying to clear it from my memory before I complete Red Hammer (I got all OFPs at Xmas 2002).

Wha-ha! Finally, we're getting alien dudes! That would go perfect with the UFO Addon, dont'cha think?

Ha-fucking-ha! Got SS already! You want lots of enemies with no slow-down? That's the only engine I know that can do that. And if I want to play Serious Sam, I play it. If I want to play OFP, I play it. If I want to watch TV, I watch TV. Alright?

Some mission specific problems
Skul replied to PFC Mongoose's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
2) Try giving them something to watch, like an invisible H. Not sure if this would work, but it's worth a try. Put an invisible H where you want them to be facing. Name the I.H. 'invh' or something, and name the two guards something then put dowatch in their Init fields. The code should look something like this. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">sentry1 dowatch invh<span id='postcolor'> and the same for the second guy </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">sentry2 dowatch invh<span id='postcolor'> And the soldiers with the map. Exact same thing. Name the soldiers and map and tell the soldiers to 'dowatch' the map. That's all I can think of to help with that. -
First, I got the demo (which was like an unhealthy addiction, lol ). That got me hooked on OFP. Then... on Christmas Day 2002... I opened the christmas wrapping paper to find... OPERATION FLASHPOINT AND OPERATION FLASHPOINT: RESISTANCE! I almost cried with relief, but pulled myself together, telling myself "it's just a computer game, you fool!" Wrong! Not just any game, but OFP! The End.

I want to know which desert/winter island is the best? I know about Desert Malden and Desert Everon and the winter conversions. Are there any more like these (e.g. Winter Kolgujev) and which ones should i download?

Whoa! That looks cool! ......Oh did I say that?!

I don't know if you know this already, but there are anti-war hackers trying to hack websites for some reason. I don't know all the details, but watch yourself BIS!

Are there any new mission ambience sounds available for download? e.g. Combat Ambience 2 or something? Also, about Combat Ambience 1... in the day, you get a nice round of military combat, but at night, it sounds like you're in a giant fan tube with little 'bip' sounds going off every 2 or 3 seconds... I find that a little weird...

How do i use an init line?
Skul replied to the_unknown_one's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
If you look at the Mission Editing FAQ, you'll see the names for all the weapons and their magazine names. Search through it for other basic commands, too. -
Thanks Abu..er.. I mean Silent N Deadly!

Against Will Young, ye say? Hmm.. yes! Of course! Why not? MHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Will shall star in the sequel (already wrote out the storyline for the first campaign). The campaign is called - Five Fantasy Islands of Insanity: Operation GARGAT! Best not make a big deal out of it, after all, I'm not one of those famous campaign makers who can make expert missions. The campaign is mostly a comedy (stuff like, a highly trained Black Op on a mountain bike! ), but it's not so stupid, it's annoying. When I am about to release it, I'll tell you what addons you need. Don't worry, it's not a huge bucket-load, just ones that seem appropriate for it (I hate missions which require 30,000 addons for you to play, and end up finding out it's bollox). Anyhoo, byee for now!

Is this post for OFP fanfics or what?

Hmm, I'll think about it. The Combat Ambience 3 (intense), now THAT is excellent! Sounds left and right. It's perfect for a mission near the end of a campaign I am making (my first MAJOR campaign project). And know what it's about?.... A war against Gareth Ga(y)tes. Now, people not in the UK won't know what I'm talking about. Type in Gareth Gates in a Yahoo search and look it up. I don't want this to get locked for going way off topic. Anyhoo, once it's finished, I'll do a few test to make sure everything is up and running, then I'll maybe release it. Don't expect the campaign too soon, though. I'm still only halfway through it and some missions aren't 100% yet. Still, I think I will give a release and see how good my skills are... Gah! I'm babbling again! Okay, byee!

I got a whole bunch of missions from my early editing days still on my PC. Some are big ones I was trying to create when I was still green at it. Needless to say... they're pretty shite, lol! On topic, though. The only way I can make civvies do their own thing is in small amounts, like for a small mission. Free willed civvies would add a new dimension to OFP, I think.

k00l! Thanks!

Actually, you can just exit at the briefing screen, instead of killing yourself.
-
I don't think it's a bug, it's probably just the natural setting, although you really should have the option to change this in the editor itself.

A definite read for you all is " '48 " by James Herebert. Here's an overview of the story (I got this from the back cover). 'In 1945, Hitler unleashes the Blood Death on Britain as his final act of vengeance. Hoke, an American pilot and one of a tiny minority with a blood group unaffected by the killer disease, has survived among the debris and the dead of London for three years. Now in '48, he is running for his life - hunted through the ruined city's ravaged streets by a desperate group of slow-dying Fascist Blackshirts. They're after his blood.' I'm nearing the end of the book at the time of writing this. It's excellent, and you should get it. It's like an alternate reality where Hitler had launched the V-2s, which were assumed to have carried biological warheads. Like I said before, read it!

Maybe they could encorporate a bit of the Serious Sam engine into OFP? Have you seen how many enemies the game can take with almost literally no slowdown! And the graphics are smooth and clean. Just a suggestion, but what do you think?
