Oh ye of little faith. Do you not know who is going to save us all from a firey heckball? Jonny the OFP messiah! AAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Â (Wipes tears from my eyes) That's the funniest thing I've seen all day! How could I forget Jonny? His second name is probably 'Messiah'! Jonny Messiah.... "What would Jonny Messiah do, if he were here right now? He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, that's what Jonny Messiah'd do!" [Gareth Gates must die]

Well there are more than enough posts about ejecting a squad from a heli. As for the 20m thing. Do you mean 20m from the crash site or 20m from the player? If it's the player's position, then you'll have to search for it (99% chance of being shouted at to search if you don't). Same goes for the heli ejecting thingummy. But, seeing as I'm such an incredibly nice bugger, I'll post a couple of solutions I got ages ago. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">PARACHUTING ***First of all: To have the squad on the chopper*** For this, there are 2 possibilities Teleportation or normal get in To load an infantry group in a chopper 1-Create a UH60 (example), edit its properties and put its special on Flying 2- Select this chopper and create for it a LOAD waypoint at the point you want it to load an infantry squad 3-Create another waypoint, a MOVE one for a destination for the blackhawk 4- Create an infantry Group 5- Select the officer and make for him a GET IN waypoint very near to the LOAD waypoint of the UH60 6- Click on the Synchronize button of the menu , on the top of the screen 7- By pressing your mouse button on one of those 2 waypoints, draw a link between the GET IN and the LOAD waypoint. It will draw a blue line between them To direct teleport the infantry group in the chopper cargo 1- Create a UH60 (example), name it (for this example) HELICO and edit its properties and put its special on Flying 2- Create an infantry Group 3- Select and edit the officer properties and at its init line put this TEAM1=group this; "_x moveincargo HELICO" foreach units TEAM1 This will name all the squad TEAM1 (for this example) and teleport every member of this squad named TEAM1 in cargo position of the UH60 named HELICO If you want to move only one unit instead of a squad edit the properties of the soldier you want to teleport in the UH60, name it BOB (for this example) and at its init line type this BOB moveincargo HELICO ------Now you have your squad on the UH60------ Now let's eject the squad from the UH60 1-Create a MOVE waypoint for the chopper far away (so the chopper will move), the best is to set the following in the properties of this waypoint. Speed:  Limited Combat Mode: Never Fire Behaviour: Careless 2- At the point you want the squad to eject from the chopper, create a trigger (of course the trigger must be on the line of the UH60 to the MOVE waypoint) At the line Activation, select WEST At the line On Activation put this cmd="EJECT"; "_x action [cmd,HELICO]" foreach units TEAM1; "unassignvehicle _x" forEach units TEAM1 with that the whole team named TEAM1 (the example from the beginning) will eject themselves and open their parachute And with the unassgnvehicle code they will not be linked to the UH60 anymore (if you don’t put that part, after landing, the squad will follow the chopper to get in again) If you want only the soldier of the example up there to be ejected, the line will be this cmd="EJECT"; BOB action [cmd,HELICO]; unassignvehicle BOB this will eject the soldier named BOB from the UH60 named HELICO and again with the unassignvehicle code, BOB will not try to get in the UH60 again after landing. Note: With that whole squad parachute usage, sometime you will notice that some parachute will burn and their users will die before landing. Note 2, you will notice too that the chopper will only fly to a specific altitude, not very high (30-40 m I think), if you want it to fly higher, edit the properties of the UH60 of this example up there and put that in the On Activation line this flyinheight 150 or (the result is the same) HELICO flyinheight 150 This will force your UH60 to fly up to 150m altitude, then it will follow its waypoint And your squad will parachute from higher Note 3 If you make yourself as the officer of the squad up there, it will not work like this, you will have to use your command menu ingame to order your men to disembark or to get in But if you are a part of the squad (and not the officer), it will work Phew! Copy and paste this into a document for later reference. Hope this helps! [Gareth Gates must die]

Have you tried executing it with a trigger? The script worked for me like that (many thanks to Red for the script!) [Greth Gates must die]

Ahem....Patrick Moore...surely? Oh yeah! lol That's who I meant... I thought it looked a bit wrong! (goes and sits in the corner, feeling stupid) Â [Gareth Gates must die]

...Well damn... I heard about this. But don't worry, the incredibly old geezer, Roger Moore (some might know as the 'Games Master') said the possibilities of it hitting earth are slim... and if a bloke that old said it, then it's gotta be true! But seriously... this sucks ass big time... am I gonna die before I really get to live? The world might end... all life might cease to exist... scary thought, isn't it? I don't want to die this young... However: [Gareth Gates must die]

Quote from The Frenchman lol! Don't go putting your missions down like that! Just double check you got the codes and conditions right. OFPEC has stuff to help you make missions that END! Quote from Koolkid101 Gareth Ga(y)tes is not a WHO, but a WHAT! Some sad, crappy pap idol in the UK that is somehow topping the charts by screeching and brainwashing certain people. However, just wait for my campaign Five Fantasy Islands of Insanity - Operation: GARGAT (shameless advertisement... I love it )! Back on topic (kinda): Just a reminder. This mission is just a bit of crazy fun. I can't really make a mission to tell people how to do it right, (that would require hard work  (I love this appearing in the brackets stuff )) I'll leave that to someone else. Thank you for all these encouraging replies! It's really inspiring me to make more of these "top-notch" missions! (Dead exciting this post, innit? With all these emoticons and exclamation marks and... BRACKETS!) [Gareth Gates must die]

You ain't no mod, now, boy! On topic: If they think video games are the cause of violence, then why don't they have games designers put, in big bold lettering: 'WARNING! MAY CAUSE INSANITY!' on the box? [Gareth Gates must die]

Resident evil style camera views
Skul replied to SpecOp9's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Get one of the scripting masters in here! There must be some script that can do this. Would be k00l to play OFP from a different perspective! [Gareth Gates must die] -
Laser designating in single player.

That's what I was gonna say! [Gareth Gates must die] -
I think it's stupid that people blame computer games for teenagers acting violent. I mean, sure it happens sometimes, but those kids are probably not too right in the head. Wait, what am I saying? They AREN'T right in the head! I've played games like Doom and so forth for YEARS, yet I'm very calm. Almost irritatingly calm at times! So don't go blaming one of people's past-times as a way of turning nuts and going on a shotgun rampage. I haven't went on a rampage killing spree (at least not to my knowledge..) Hey guys...I'm thinking of making.... TEh crap cammpagin! (Carmina Burana comes on) ...Just think...one crap mission of annoyance after another... each one crapper and stupider than the last..... scary stuff, huh? The campaign WILL have combat. Crappy combat. Prepare yourselves, because, once I've finished off a certain other campaign, I'll start production of the worst campaign in history! [Gareth Gates must die]

Somebody get this man a doctor...! And I'm happy that you agree that [Gareth Gates must die]

I have no idea why I made it! I was bored and decided to make a crap mission! The worst mission EVER!!! Like I said, no replay value WHAT-SO-EVER! But still, crappy mission makers. Take heed of the 'advice' in this mission. Okay? Test, test and test again. Then... test some more. Later! [Gareth Gates must die]

I am just wondering if any of Seventh's songs appear in OFP2...? Will they write/are they writing songs for it?

Wise words indeed! I mean, it's hell trying to place fences at the right place. About 90% of all the objects have the same size box. If you were told that one object was intersecting another, then that would be good (like a red area on top of the intersecting parts of the object in 'map mode', if you understand my meaning). What about a campaign in multiplayer mode
Skul replied to gameworx's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
It would be good to have another game that allows you to play the campaign with your buddies. I remember playing through a whole episode in DOOM, way back in the days of dinosaurs and caves. Most games nowadays are just DM DM DM. Co-op is a nice breath of fresh air. [Gareth Gates must die] -
Try this; Put these flags in your init.sqs: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">tanks1=false tanks2=false Then, in your win trigger, put in the Condition field: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">tanks1 AND tanks2 (It doesn't have to be "tanks1", etc, this is just an example, you can call these flags whatever you want) Call the M1s things like 'tank1', 'tank2', etc (this will help immensley). Make a trigger that is big enough to cover the area the M1s will be engaged in (it doesn't matter if another group is in it). Then, in the Condition of the M1s trigger, type: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">NOT (alive tank1) AND NOT (alive tank2) adding in any more enemy tanks there as necessary. And in the On Activation field of the M1 trigger, type: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">tanks1=true this will activate the first flag in your init.sqs. Then do the same for the M60s. Once flag 1 and flag 2 (tanks1 and tanks2) have been activated (true), then the win trigger will activate. The mission will end only if both flags have been activated. I hope this helps. If you are confused by any of this, tell me. I could probably send you an example mission to help you, if you think it would help (the mission might take some time to complete, though). Later! [Gareth Gates must die]

Yeah, that's what I think, too. lol On my first time on the very first 'real' CWC mission, I got a scolding from Col. Blake 'cause I hardly killed anyone! "But please, sir! It's my first time!" He coulda been more lenient! [Gareth Gates must die]

I'm on my second time playing through Resistance. I completed CWC and RH and they took freakin' AGES to complete, then Resistance came along and gave me a challenge. The second time I played CWC and RH, I passed them in the blink of an eye! I managed to complete CWC in under 2 weeks! The first time, it took me MONTHS. With RH it took me almost twice as long. Now I'm back on Resistance (seems like only yesterday I finished it...) Maybe it's because I've moved up from 'n00b' to 'a bit better than I used to be' [Gareth Gates must die]

***SPOILERS*** -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- Right, so I have FINALLY completed the excellent Resistance campaign. Victor died and I was pretty sad. Although it was pretty funny the way he died. I mean did Guba have to send about 10 tanks along with about 50 troops to kill just one man? He musta been pretty pissed! Anyhoo, the question is.... What does the message after the credits say? I saw a message and didn't understand it because it was in.... Â Russian (I think)..? Do you suppose it's human nature to destroy ourselves? It's the only reason for Weapons of Mass Destruction, for scientists have found out that the world is finite! Scientist #1: "Hey guys, the world is fucked. It won't last another 120,000 decades!" Scientist #2: "Hmmm... well, since we're all fucked anyway, let's build a super-ultra-mega-death bomb which causes an anti-matter explosion and creates a black hole in time itself!" Scientist #1:"Good. And if that doesn't end the human race?" Scientist #2: "I'll come up with another clever-sounding, pseudo-scientific, meaningless sentence." Scientist #1: "Prodigious! Let's get to work!" Everything that scientists release to the world causes death and destruction. I bet there are a million things that could help mankind (1% chance of them creating such a thing), but those bastards are keeping it from us. I wonder how long it'll take 'em to end the world? They probably want Terminator to come true... [Gareth Gates must die]

And another thing! Why do wasps exist? I can understand bees (honey for Sugar Puffs! ), but wasps?! I'll give them buzzing in your ear for no reason! (Stands there, unmoving) Bah! I got no idea what to do... [Gareth Gates must die]

I'm intermediate, thanks to OFP! Indenify most guns and vehicles, that's pretty much it. I don't really know all the specs. Which is stronger? M16 or AK4? Or are they both pretty much equal, etc. [Gareth Gates must die]
