    Hurricane Katrina!

This is really sad; I think one can only fully understand if they actually see for themselves the extent of destruction and suffering these people are going through. One priest was lying on the side of the highway with a serious heart condition and nobody had any medical supplies to help him. Please don't turn this into political bullshit. Let's just hope that the rescue services improve and get to the people quickly enough. [edit] did anyone hear mayor of New Orleans on his speech? crazy! I didn't know mayors were that...so eloquently spoken.

    The Iraq thread 4

I beg to differ. There may be sectarian tensions between Sunni and Shi'a, but Wahabis abhor Shi'as and would readily kill them at every oppertunity. And it's not just Shi'as, it's anyone who would even hint at disagreeing with them. Anyway, this article is a good read.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

If you say so. But I would still believe that these three religions both share the same God and I'm sure a considerable amount of Christians and Jews would agree. Forgive me for being simplistic but which one is God? Father, Son or Holy Spirit? Or yes, does he take the forms of all three? That would make him his own father and at the same time his own son. I'm sure there are many things in religion that are not fully explained, but this one has really baffled me.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

What makes you think that the God worshipped by Muslims is different to the God worshipped by Christians? Erm, right. It seems to me those two statements contradict eachother, since if you worship a false god you are automatically labelled as "bad"? [edit] Heh, I thought about it a while and I think I know what you're getting at now...it's the whole Jesus is the Son of God/Jesus is God thing, right? So if we don't worship Jesus, we're worshipping a false God? Please correct me if I misunderstood.

    The Iraq thread 4

To be politically correct, religious jurists in Iraq take the title of 'Ayatullah' or 'Sayed' rather than their..less respected counterpart the 'mullah' which is in Iran. Yes, it would be nice to see no 'sharia law' put into practice in the government, but you can probably sigh in relief as the version with Iraqi Shias is different to that of Saudi Arabia where they can automatically cut a thief's hands off. Call it wishful thinking if you want.

    War against terror

I never said you have to. You don't have to if you don't want to. Sheesh. I only said "why don't you". Maybe I havn't explained myself properly? I only requested that instead of implying Panda is a bigot, that you respond in a more reasonable (?) way. Hell you could have even dismissed it as a crackpot conspiracy theory, that would be fine by me. I'm sorry, I wasn't familiar with that expression.

    War against terror

Why am I not surprised that you just dodged the question/request in my post? Way to go, avonlady; you're so predictable. Please let me make this very clear. I'm not agreeing with anything - just because I challenged your name-calling on Panda doesn't mean I agree with him. You may notice that, especially in this thread, a person may agree with another person on something, but disagree with them on another. There's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Why do you call me a bully? I responded in the nicest possible way I could think. Would you like a gift?

Heheh, I only noticed today that the horse can jump too. I don't know what the the hell I was thinking when I jumped over a very high hill into the river resulting in my horse being crippled. "Lame charger" hmm.

    War against terror

It is indeed funny. I've noticed earlier already that only Jewish professors and authorities are trustworthy experts of Islamism. I smell a bigot. Erm, no? Please allow me to remind you using this link about the word "bigot". If you look back at several of Panda's posts I'm sure you would notice his beliefs are not bigotry and I'm sure you would have the intelligence to reform your statement. What's more, instead of implying he is a bigot (which I'm not sure what that has to do with Panda's statment?) maybe you can contribute more in detail and attempt to disprove him?

    War against terror

I don't think anybody is denying anything about their intentions. It's funny...they keep their whereabouts so secret yet their "master plan" isn't so. By the way...Has Al-Qaeda attacked Israel yet? I'm not sure they have. That's strange.

Don't mean to spoil the fun, but what do you mean by that? Are you referring to collective economies (eg. EU) being larger?

Just started a new game with the Mag-7 mod. Blimey - that's a whole lot of gold for Sir Galahad. Maybe he should have been more careful with dealing with tax collectors next time. Thanks Placebo for the link!

Thanks for the correction, Bernadotte. Does anybody know an alternate d/l link for Mag-7? The page comes up an "Ad-financed webspace" and I can't find the download button anywhere.

    Mount & Blade: PC RPG.

Well worth the purchase. This game is going to kick so much ass when it's finished. At the moment I'm around level 19 with equipped with some badass equipment - round steel shield, balanced war sword, [cracked] black armour, black helment, and a heavy war-horse. And of course, smoked fish!!! I didn't fancy the merchant route or the war route. Instead I took the time to capture small groups of bandits/pirates and sell them off. BTW, there's two slave traders - one in Zendar and one in the Salt Mine. Seems the latter pays more for prisoners. I feel sorry for those poor old farmers and refugees getting captured by bandits, so that's priority no.1. If you leave the prisoners you rescued alone then you can come back to them and have them join your party. What I noticed is that the larger your party becomes the larger the enemy parties become. So I figured there's no point going above about 10 men unless you want very long battles. The first time I came across the dark knights, they kicked our asses in 2 mins. They even stole our beloved smoked fish! However know that most of the party is upgraded to vaegir knights we usually succeed. This game is really sucking up a lot of hours. Oh well, at least its not as bad as the South Korea incident. [edit] Another thing I'd like to add - perhaps the greatest thing about this game is that it's not really a fantasy RPG, although it does have the medieval theme to it. Thank God there's no magic spells and mages included, otherwise it would have ruined it.

    BF2 Criticism and Thoughts

I bought the game a few days ago and enjoyed it as light fun for a while. After a few rounds though, I got really fed up. When I heard the critisism that BF was really dumbed-down and unrealistic, I just shrugged it off...he it can't be that bad. I'm not really a realism-nut myself - a bit of fun never hurt anybody. But F00KIN 'ELL!!! What's this? Tanks being driven and gunned at the same time by only one player? Half a magazine of ammo needed to gun down a soldier? "Medics" just instantly bringing dead players back to life again and again? Unlimited supply of AT rockets? Dead soldiers and vehicles just VANISHING INTO OBLIVION IN 5 SECONDS? Â List is endless. I havn't read the thread but I'm guessing quite a few people feel the same way. This is CS - but with vehicles. Maybe if EA kept their fat hands off, Dice could have went on to create the game they wanted. But nooooo...EA had to slap on their usual bang-up lame-ass job of dumbing down the game to a completely rediculous level [no offence to horizontally-unchallenged or mentally challenged people]. Hey...look on the bright side - at least now, oh, everyone can play it. And this would most surely send a false message to younger people that war is a kickass playground of low-flying jets and marines running frantically all over the place trying to capture flags while under the protection of blue names hovering above their heads. Sad. They were smart though...they put in a ranking system so that players that hated the game had something to play for. But even that was full of shit. Not only the gameplay is flawed - the technical requirements are skyhigh...BF almost didn't even want to recognize the existance of my GF 5200 FX. I have to run everything on bare minimum settings. And another thing...how the HELL do you fly those bloody jets?! Has anyone ever been recorded to successfully aim the jet at a ground target whilst flying? No wonder why some people are pissed off by it. What a waste. I got suckered into believing the reviews, which all of the ones I've read have praised the game like mad.
