Yes it is pretty accurate.My dad drove tanks and he used them.There is also the thermal night vision which tank crews use, mainly the gunner(i.e. to see other tanks cause tanks emitt really high tempeturs , the m1A1 got up to 1500 degrees so that would easilly be seen,its cause the turbofan engine(which is closely realated to a jet turbo fan engine)produces high heat.)It is black and white and it uses heat (cause almost every thing gives off heat).In the game the night vision uses invisiable light and displays it kinda greenish.Same with real ones.Hope this helps!

In the M1A1 the abillity to lock down the turret would be nice.In real life there is a turret lock down lever to, well lock the turret.Im kinda tired of the dumb ai swinging the darn turret and hittin other tanks,(which could damage a tank in real life) when just drivin around in formation.Plus online(if you have an online tank squad)it would be cool to, you know how the gunner wants to see whats going on instead of lookin at the gun site in the 1st person view well he can lock the turret and just move the camera around.I have also tried the alt-then move the mouse, but the turret still turns. That stinks.

Oh in Iraq an M1A1 was trapped in this mud pit and it was totally stuck and 3 t-72's came up and the first T-72 fired at the M1A1 then the M1A1 fired back destorying it in one shoot then the 2nd T-72 fired at the M1 and the M1 fired back destroying it to then the the 3rd T-72 fired at the M1 and then the M1 fired again and destoryed it.the M1 was still stuck so the crew radioed for some help.Then the help came and they tryed towing it out but was still stuck so they where ordered to abanden the M1 and destory it.Well the other M1's fired at it.Then finally the 3 rd shell penetrated it and destoryed the ammo but instead of blowing the tank up it blew out the blow out panel and the fire depresent thing snuffed it out.Leaving the tank intacted with only the gun sight melted.The tank was still operational and then they just tryed towing out and they were later succesful and they just shipped it back to the US to continue service.Man it took 6 shells and it still works!Man thats tuff!

In Iraq a M1A1 destroyed  2 T-72's with a single round.Pretty good! My dad drove the M1A1 for 4 years.Including a couple of others.Oh dont forget the M1A1HA (heavy armor) and M1A1HC(heavy armor comon).That picture of that dart looken thing is a sabot round.(pronounced like saying "say boat".not sa as in sad and bot as in robot.)Or long rod penetrators. BIS really messed up the sabot round.In real life it doesnt explode.In real life you cant shoot it at people and kill a group of them.(unless you lined them up lol).HEAT rounds dont either.In my dads tank they caried 4 diffrent rounds.Sabot,HEAT,HEAP(high explosive anti-personal) and AP(anti-personal).HEAP and AP is desigend to kill people lol.HEAP also is used to destroy trucks bunkers etc.The HEAP rounds are really sensitive so will destroy a car when it hits and it wont do any thing to a tank.They just explode real big and is the most explosive round carried in the M1A1. The AP just shoots a whole bunch of darts.You use these basicly for soldiers.Each of these shells the HEAT,Sabot,AP,HEAP weigh about 50 lbs.That thing that allows the M1A1 to kill targets even at 3 miles is that laser rang finder.You put the cross hair on the tank then hit the laser finder switch then bang the barrel is adjusted in a split second then you pull the trigger.Well later!

The M1A2 doesnt have an autoloader.They did when they tested it but it got deleted from the tank cause it was just to costly,more work, alittle more slower then a human loader (takes bout 3 sec to load)plus a human loaders arm is more reliable then some mechanical devices which could brake down in combat.A human loader has more advantages then a autoloader.But the M1A2 is ranked as the worlds best MBT(main battle tank).With Challenger or some european tank ranked 2nd.

Maybe choose to be resitance and choose resitance freindly to West.Then the russians select Never fire or what ever.Not shure but give it a try.I kinda want to make a same mission but havent gotten around to it.Let me know if it works.

Japanes in World war 2 had a 20mm anti tank rifle.It could even be fired in full auto.But it was to powerful so it was really not used in full auto just semi auto.Thats power!

Yea i got alot of errors to.Firsts Question.Do you have the beta patches?1.27 1.79 etc.?Well if you do.Well you will have to uninstall the whole game then reinstall the patches.But only install the 1.30 and then 1.40.Nothing else other then the gernade launcher add on etc..All though i still got like 4 errors or some thing.So do that.

Hey thanks Gerschwarzenge!Exactly what it sounds like.All though to hear what it sounds like in real life turn your computer volume up to max and speakers up to max.Thatll let you experiance it!Same with the M1A1.My dad lost 7 years of hearing from the M1A1.

My dad was a soldier.He drove,commanded,fired and loaded an actuall M1A1.All though he is retired he served 15 years and drove the M1A1 for 4 years.He kinda didnt experiance any thing amazing though but had fun like runnin over a abandened VW beatlle and a out house. Shot alote a deer and cows in the M1A1 (no joke lol).His friend also accedetly drove an M1A1 into a boulder and part of the tank broke open.They had to seal it shut with ducktape so no one could see what was in it(cause it was topsecret).Bout the M16 hears some thing that will prove that the M16 recoil isnt strong.In my dads basic training his drill Sgt put the M16 up to his nose and pulled the trigger and didnt hurt his nose one bit .He was in 1st cav and the 2nd AD.I cant rember from when he joined till he retired.Some thing like 1980 or some thing to 19--.I havent asked him that yet.Well later Â

ALso the gun on the A-10 sounds kinda weak in the game.Have you ever heard the sound the gun makes on a F-14?Its 20mm is just 10mm smaller but it sounds way more wickeder then the 30mm in the game.To know what the real A-10 gun sounds like ill give you a hint the A-10 pilots call it "A fart from God" lol.In the game it sounds more like a human God lol.So work on that BIS.It kinda sounds like a girly gun not a monsterouse gun like it should be.Maybe if you played F-22 lighting the gun sounds pretty good so maybe just copy that sound.(At least).
