Just got back from my vaction. Ok, I resized my pictures of the M1A2 Abrams that I posted in this thread.They are 800x600 and about 100kb in size. Here is my new project. Just got the game and all I can say is, wow. But I'm having some problems with the game.Its like after playing about 10 min the game all of sudden starts flickering lite blue and all(major headache giver to!).I can still hear the game sounds though. Memory leak or something?I heard something about alt-tabbing out of the game or something.I don't know. I also finally completed the 1st A-10 mission.After about 9 tries. It was just so friggen hard!(kept gettin hit by the Iglas.) But then I found out you have to wait for the Tornados wait after a while so they get shot at by the Iglas(thus reducing your chance of getting shot down ;) ), and while they destroy the Strelas, then order my wingman to go ahead with the mission, and join up. Also, how many missions are there in the A-10 campaign?

And at the time I took these pictures, I wasn't really complete with my model.I later sanded the outside smooth of the glue globs.I wanted to paint it Forest camo, but hey, painting it desert camo was a lot easyier! Plus did some touch ups.This was the hardest model I have ever worked on.I think there were like some 300 parts or something like that.I had to call up my dad and ask for tips on what the tank should look like, and where to put some of the items, like the spare road wheel, and the spare track etc...(He did 4 years in the M1 Abrams back in the 1980's.)Plus I dedicated this model to him, and gave it to him as a gift(and I plan on following in his footsteps.). I'm really into building military model kits.I've posted a lot of pictures of my models on this forum, so I'll help you find it mods. ;) My most recent one was a M1A2 Abrams MBT, by Italeri.It costed me $30.But its pretty dang nice lookin!But also hard to put togethor.I'll upload the pictures here in a min. (I'm on vacation right now, and wont be to normal posting status till about the 19th of Jan. Â Â But luckily I brang my CD-RW full of all the pictures I took with my digital camera, with me on my trip.So I can get these pictures uploaded in about 10 min.) I'm thinking about buying a new sound card to replace my Sound Blaster Live! card.I hear that if I get a good sound card it will improve my computers performance, and even increase FPS(I guess a good sound card will take a lot of load of the processor) and sound a lot better.So what sound cards would you recommend?Any where in the $200-$300 range.I'm kind of lookin into stayin with Creative labs brand sound cards.But hey if there is something thats better let me know! How's Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Card?I need something that will take a major load off the AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz. Thanks.

I don't think I can upgrade my processor any higher on my mobo.I kind of don't really want to upgrade my processor, or else I'd have to buy a new Mobo, and new ram, and all that other stuff.But since my Gateways computers warranty is about to expire, I might consider building a new computer I guess, and just transfer some of the stuff from my old comp to the new computer(DVD, CD-RW, Firewire card etc.)Probably cost me $100 for a new sound card, $150 for a mobo, $200 for a processor, $200 for ram, and $300-400 for a new video card. Or I might just upgrade the video card soon, and see how it'll run Lomac.

Is the 9800 XT worth buying?Being 256MB and all. I'm kind of thinkin about upping my video card from my Geforce 2 Ultra, to a 9800 XT. What will I notice with my AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz processor+512MB of Ram(Maybe might up it up to a gig)?Will I be able to run Lock on Modern air combat fine?Will the graphics look nice?What will my processor not do so well on? I think the game comes with a manual(Just a normal manual).Its just if you want a really nice manual, that looks like what the real pilots use, then you have an option of buying that manual from lomac-manual.com web site.

I have a Sound Blaster Live!Value sound card.It was good, untill I got Windows XP.Then I started having problems.Mainly sometimes when playing a game, my sound card seems to go and I get this really anoying TV static sound.A cisssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound.Its really anoying and stops only when I restart the game. Plus the sounds where alittle wierd.Especially racing games. How about a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum Sound Card?Its priced at $150. And I don't need to do any sound editing.Just a awsome sounding game, and a major load off the 1.2 Ghz processor. Man there are a lot of sound cards.I'm kind of getting confused. So which model should I get?I don't think my local computer store sells Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.But if I find one I'll check into it more.Is it a really good sound card?Will it take a major load off the processor?Are the sounds good(effects and all)?

I was just curiuse, are the online missions kind of like F-22 Lightning 3?The co-op missions in that game where awsome.You had to work like a team, a couple of guys had to word on the enemys radar systems plus sams, while the other team mates had to wait till they where destroyed, then they could go bomb the main objectives.while the other team needs to protect there radar systems, and also prevent the main objective from being destroyed.But that game was so arcadish somewhat... Does Lomac have online Co-op missions(one team, or 2 team missions)?Or is it just shoot who ever is in the sky down(Team deathmatch or deathmatch)? Oh and check this THREAD out!Nice pictures!!!!

Well I know if its a road march, the last tank always(or sometimes) has the turret facing the rear, to protect the rear flank(What my dad tells me.He was a M1 Abrams(105mm) tanker back in the 1979-1983)He didn't get into to much detail, as he was in hurry to go some where.But it makes sense.
