Just FYI. There's more weapons and equipment in the editor. Chopping down trees with the helicopter or the minigun is quite fun For those who dont know how: Load the mission in the editor. Go to Archetype entity -> Pickups -> Weapons for all the weapons (SMG doesnt work). Then select Export to engine and launch the demo. There are more weapon-mods in the editor too. Grenadelauncher, assault scope, sniper scope, flash and smokeshell.

The Ka-50 is a single-seater. Longbow 2 is still being played online. We've made some guidelines on how to get it running on today's computers here. I doubt 9 months is reallistic with Eagle Dynamics. Thats how long it took them to make the second patch for LOMAC... There was an announcement on Black Shark not long ago and the realease date is still "2008". Bummer. Sounds like the same mod-unfriendly LOMAC. I might change my mind on Black Shark when it finally arrives, but for now I'm more interested in EECH and its community modding and Jane's LB2.

I had to re-install and play SOF2 yeasterday (Shinraiden's fault) I still think SOF2 is a good game to this date. I played through the game using a weapon mod (adds 30+ weapons). That line from the outtakes is used in the game on the last level where Wilson (Hamill's character) drops the bottle with the nervegas. Looking forward to SOF3 alot more now I wonder if we're getting proper ironsights this time. Anyone heard anything?

Somewhat true. While the current DX10 cards doesnt support the new features that will arrive in DX10.1 they will run DX10-enhanced games, they just wont have all the bells and whistles. I wouldnt worry about that just yet. I'd want to know what features I'd be missing, then I'd worry. You could go for a low to medium performer such as a GF8600 now and save up for a future DX10.1 card.

I hope they stick to the cliche/conspiracy theories. I find them more interesting than all the run of the mills WWII shooters that have been done to death. Mark Hamill should return as the villain again

Tried the demo. Runs smooth, nice sound effects and graphics. But like Ebud said, its a nice one-time popcorn experience. The demo crash with a DirectX error every time it needs to restart when I'm changing settings in the options screen though, so I had to alter the config.cfg manually. Rear channels in 4-point surround are dead. I might buy it for the "simple and fun" single player aspect.

Looks like its 300% inspired by SOF1 Maybe its just me, but the gameplay looks alot faster than the two previous games. I liked SOF2 alot because you could go the tactical-route without being overrun.

I've seen this countless times over the years. Unless the pickup is defective (not likely in your case) disabling and re-enabling Windows Autorun with a reboot inbetween usually solve the problem. Toggling Autorun the registry-way: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SYSTEM - CurrentControlSet - Services - Cdrom - Autorun [DWORD=1] (1=on,default / 0=off) If you have daemon-tools installed you can quickly do this by disabling Autostart (it overrides all optical drives), leave daemon running while you shut down Windows. Start Windows, start DT again and enable Autostart again, then exit DT (if you want to). The problem could also be the result of some poorly made software. HP printer-drivers and selected freeware cd-burning tools comes to mind. Let me know how it goes. If it doesnt help I'll dig a little further.

Yep, its not a matter of if you're filling up a hd, its when. 320GB drives are the cheapest per byte over here (Norway). I'm using 4 Seagate ST325062 250GB, 16MB cache, SATA2. I recommend that drive or the 320GB variant.

I dont have a question, I just want to inform people of the benefit of RAID-5 with 4 drives. Recently, I added a 4th drive to my existing 500GB array (3*250GB). I havent run any benchmarks yet, but Photoshop CS2 used to take about 9 seconds to start from scratch. Now it takes 5 seconds. I noticed that the slight slow-down while loading terrain in Arma is completely gone now (while flying very fast). If you are considering to begin using RAID-5 it is very important that you buy a separate RAID-controller because the onboard ones simply suck and RAID-5 is alot more complex than RAID-0 so it demands more processing power if you want it to be effective at reading and writing. I'm using Adaptec 2420SA with 128MB RAM. It has a very good value for money but at the same time if you look at the price-tag you'll understand why you dont want to use an onboard controller on a motherboard that cost less than this controller. So in short, RAID-5 with 3 drives has very good disk redundancy and good performance over a single drive, but add another drive and the performance really kicks in.

I think its quite cool, but I bet it would be alot better if they slowed down the movement speed and added some weight to the vehicles. I'm absolutely blown away how smooth it runs with the graphics maxed out.

I've tried both the 360 and PC demo. They're identical in content. The PC-version has better (more?) AntiAliasing and better lightning or textures in some areas. I never knew what Bioshock was all about and I've never played System Shock before (people say its the spiritual successor). To be honest, I think Deus Ex was alot better. Bioshock is a run'n'gun action game with strange weapons in an even stranger world. So far I've seen a wrench, a .38 wheelgun and a Thompson. Medal of Honor or No one lives forever, anyone? Â

I rather compare the guns in real life as opposed to a 3rd party website. My MK23 is slightly longer than the DE if you take the threads on the barrel into consideration. The biggest difference between the two is that the DE is heavy, the MK23 is not As for who owns who, I guess if the DE was reliable and accurate, it would be "the better" Nice looking model. Need to check this addon out. To the addon author: I havent looked at the config yet, but I do hope you have the same hit-values for supressed and un-supressed. The 230gr FMJ bullets tend to travel between 800 and 850fps depending on load. Its pointless to load any harder loads, so the bullet is always subsonic.

It should'nt work at all anymore due to a security-issue with that function. I suggest you PM a moderator about it.

Its the character-set used by this board, in order to show cyrillic letters (CZ-section). I looked into it once but didnt find a more suitable character-set.
