This is just temporary. Everyone will want to discuss every single screen that is posted so its easier to keep things tidy the way it is now. Later on we'll split it up like it is with OFP.

I doubt it. I think if they could speed up R&D they would have done it regardless of Nvidia's release schedule. Xmas and all...

Signal range and strength depends on brand not interface type. Linksys(and Cisco ofcourse) and D-link are the ones I've had the best experience with. But you'll just have to try and see how the result is. Noone can tell you if it will work well or not.

Would have been nice to see how it compares to current top-end Nvidia cards too. I want to see how much money I wasted on my 7950gx2

Use existing thread and just say if its unedited or not This thread is so locked

500GB array (3x250GB) boots windows faster than it takes the controller to boot and detect the array  Around 12 seconds for the controller to boot, detect the array and install the BIOS, around 8 seconds to load to the Windows login screen. Gotta love RAID5  If you want a fast RAID-controller I highly recommend the Adaptec 2420 w/128MB RAM

If you want to test-post then you can PM yourself instead of posting on the boards Â

You can convert your C-drive from FAT32 to NTFS regardless of its size. Start -> Run -> CMD (enter) convert c: /fs:ntfs You will be told that Windows will convert the filesystem on the next boot. Restart the computer and it will do it right before loggin into windows.

Just checking how many others here have a Trackir or are planning on buying one. I definitely would like to see it supported. Not just for the vehicles and aircrafts but for soldiers too. Should make flying (or landing) helos with a mouse and keyboard alot easier because you can then freely look around while not interfering with the flight controls. I believe it would add 10x the immersion simply because it feels so natural.

Such behaviour is not tolerated. You're PR'd pending punishment

If there was progress I'm sure they would reply to this thread. Dont dig up old threads. Closing.

Thats a steal. You sure you getting a receipt? By all means buy it. Its a great computer. I would like to say its the best ever but there will always come something newer along the way. But right now (and specially at the price you're mentioning) its the best quality and value for money. We're selling (at where I work) the 80GB/14" variant for 13.388,-NOK excluding taxes and thats very cheap.

I prefer beeping over no beeping and no picture

Its still atleast 5 years away and I doubt its the X86 architecture that gets this first. I cant help but wonder how high the total power-consumption will be Â

Flaming is not tollerated here. If you can't respect that I'll happily send you on a vacation away from these forums.

I'd never buy a OS used now when it needs activation. Having them make a picture with a blurred cd-key still doesnt prove you're getting when you buy it. The key is located as a sticker on the outside of the plastic wrapper, just like AOCbravo says (on the other side of the packages of those picture in the auctions).

The details behind HDR is a little too technical for me. As far as I know 32bit is more accurate in how light affect the player's eyes but it also requires alot more GPU-power. HDR Wiki

It all comes down to whether you use 16bit or 32bit(true) HDR. I dont know if the X1000 cards can run 32bit HDR with AA, but the GF6/7 cards can not. HL2 only use 16bit HDR. FarCry use 32bit. You'll just have to wait and see what Arma supports.

DDR2 in particular have gone up in price the last few weeks. The rest is pretty much stable. I'm guessing its Intel C2D's fault. They sell too many of them
