Six and I figured we would try to make something more than just a mission for OFP... so we thought about making an OICW -then someone else made that So we thought about making the SOCOM -then we heard BAS are working on that So we thought about something completely new: Beretta's first tactical rifle. CX4 "Storm" Early progress image: I've learnt to not promise anything concerning a releasedate as I still have'nt released a single OFP-mission in quite some time. But looking as the model is coming along nicely we should'nt be that far from the first public-release.... Any feedback/critic is welcome (as long as its constructive)

For WinXP32 SP2 and all dual cores with powermanagement, get MS' hotfix KB896256 and install it (this will be included in a future servicepack). Then do the changes to the registry on this page. I dont know about AMD's cpus but Intel's C2D cpus benefit from this fix, especially the adding of the pmtimer.

If you have nothing better to do than pointless bashing of this mod and its authors you are not welcomed in this forum  Lefiath, Bobor SK, Blackjabel, you have all received a Warning Level. (FPC) Bacon, grow up  and dont cuss at others.

Helicopter controlls are all about minor input all the time. The horizon is your best friend, then there's the speedometer, VSI and altimeter. I'm flying mostly with mouse as cyclic and keyboard for the rest. When you want to come to a hover, keep and eye on your artificial horizon and VSI. If the ground is flat there is nothing wrong in doing a rolling/skidding landing either. I havent tried landing any faster than 80km/h but that works fine with Littlebirds and Blackhawks atleast. Just make sure you touchdown very gently.

That param is not in Arma, only OFP.

Stay on topic. This is not a pissing contest between mouse/keyboard and other input devices.

I would assume you're using Forceware 97.92 (the only one that actually support 8800). I would atleast start there. Eventhough you dont have SLI, your card might be in some way dependant on these game-profiles. I would try renaming arma.exe to fear.exe. That way it uses all internal performance settings that are used in FEAR. They are alot more than the few you see in your drivers control panel. If you use nHancer you can see all content and how it is configured. But for now, try renaming the EXE. You and I have the same CPU and same amount of RAM. You have a 680i chipset, I'm using Asus P5B (i965). My settings are: Res 1280x1024, viewdist 2000m, terrain detail high, object detail high, object textures high, shading detail high, post-effects low, AF very high, shadows medium, blood high, AA low. Your computer should be able to run those settings with 35 to 60 fps walking around on Ramahdi. Also turn off hw-acc and EAX for your soundcard just to eliminate that source.

List your specs and we'll see if we can get that 8800 to push some polys That card is allmost identical to 7950GX2 in performance.

That's not a fact at all - I've been fiddling around with it for weeks and get terrible performance no matter what settings I use. The framerate is just as poor on 1280x1024 as it is on 1680x1050 - and this is with an E6600, 8800GTS, 2gig DDR2 ram. I was on the demo earlier with a few friends and I was barely hitting 20fps! Maybe its a driver bug? Since I got a much lowerend system than you and I have 45fps in just normal terrain in north, 30fps in large towns and 20fps at minimum. Â It must be a driver-bug. I'm using a E6700, 2GB RAM and GF7950GX2 and getting mostly 50-55fps at 1280x1024 after I made a real SLI-profile with nhancer. Earlier I got 30 fps in the same places. View: 2000m Terrain: high Object det: high Obj tex: high Shading: high Post-effects: low AF: very high shadows: medium AA: low Blood: high With the 8800-series cards you should make sure you're using Forceware 97.92 which actually support the 8800.
