    Kegetys object files

Nah not there I looked. The objects included a one-man T80 general guba and some other stuff. I was looking forward to using that AT sniper.

    Doors!!!!!!!

I'm not saying there has to be indoor missions just the opportunity to go indoors. It would open up a range of tactics into the game for a start.

    Doors!!!!!!!

But it can't exactly be hard to make a code that makes a solid object move or short distance can it? I know the game acheived it's goals but doors are a basic part of the real world, it's not realism if you're not trying to simulate real life. Now people will say 'oh well if we're going to be realistic lets include food, drink and sex' but seriously it would have been cool to run and hide in a civilian town but not have to go and crouch behind a wall but set up your LAW at thee window and blow the crap out of the enemy who come blundering up the hill behind you.

    Doors!!!!!!!

Fair enough but is it much to ask? Hopefully this is sorted in ofp2 but why wasn't it included? I would certainly have more fun hiding in buildings if it meant I could go in and close the door behind me. Some of the coolest buildings don't have an open door either.

    Realism vs. Playability

Doors that open. Especially the hangar doors.

    What should be in OFP

Animals would mean there would actually be a point to the hunters. You could have them hunting rabbits and stuff and then when they see you they might try and shoot at you or possibly flee and raise the alarm. Or something.

    What weapon/vehicle

What's the matter? I suggest a poll and they leave out the only gun I wanna see in the game! Got SA-80? Clearly not. Also I'm not that big headed as to believe they only put in a poll cause I suggested it... well maybe I am but who cares.
  10. Do you have any idea how long it took me to find out how to zoom on the map in editor? THREE MONTHS!!! I have no idea how I didn't find it sooner! No I can't use full stops! Must use exclamation marks! Why? Don't know!

    Frustratingly dumb!

I actually meant that I'm.. ah forget it you should be guilty! Now you must pay for your crimes!! Or not as the case may be.

    Ideas for MP Games?

My idea is that you have the three sides starting at opposite ends of kolgujev with minimal gear. The idea is to go around and capture the compounds. The winner is the team that holds all the compounds on kolgujev. If someone makes it let me know I'd kick their...

    civilian question

How do you get the civs to just walk about? I want them to wander about and drive trucks to random places, wander about and go away again. I'm making this multiplayer map you see. There are three sides, US,Russian and resistance. Each starts with a team in a base or town somewhere on kolgujev. The idea is to capture every compound that I have marked off and find the secret ones that aren't highlighted on the map. Every time a compound is held without opposition nearby a team is airlifted in to hold it, but will do nothing else. Dotted around are various vehicles and ammo dumps etc... Does anyone want to take my rough beginning and finish it. I'm pressed for time and am also crap at making missions.

    Enfield

Why has it got to be all about 1985? There are mods flying about that aren't set in 1985 so why does it have to be restricted so? There should be a poll to see how many want to see the very nice SA-80, which is now quite reliable ( or so I'm told), added in.
  15. I'm trying to make a mission for multiplayer but its never going to work because I can't even make a briefing. The general premise is set on kolgujev. It involves a small force of western, eastern and resistance soldiers starting at three different points on the map. There are these great compounds everywhere and inside each are treats such as tanks and support, as well as the occasional helo or plane. Every time you take a compound you can call in backup and an infantry squad will turn up to hold the base regardless of what anyone else is doing. The winner is the team that holds all the compounds. Does anyone want to take a look at my rough idea(which is unfinished) and finish it off as I can't do scripting etc.. due to lack of time. Otherwise feel free to make your own as I'm sure people already have. I don't pretend to believe that I' the only on to think of this but it should be a great idea. Any takers and I'll post the rough mission ed. file to this thread tomorrow.

On the recon mission when you go up the hill and report the enemy position how do you report it? I go up the hill and can clearly see the camp but I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

Yeah I did that but it doesn't say that the objective is done or anything.

Many of you have horrible ideas

Yes the game was made to be a military sim so why shouldn't you be able to use the kit hat you want? I'm sure a sniper would pick out a sniper rifle and not just go with the pistol because it happened to be sitting there next to him. He'd get up and go over to the lovely long ranged beuty sitting across the room.

    Bomber are a mint idea

How is it spoiling it for those who play it seriously(which I do also love the campaign mode) just to have some extra units added? You don't have to use them just because they're there. I don't usualy include the LST(usually because it doesn't work) and that's in the game.
