Hey as a Poli-Sci major I take offense! Remember, once the amendment process is open, any amendment can be proposed and enacted. Do you realy want to see an amendment against homosexuality, or an amendment against islam or an amendment that requires prayer in school or eliminated separation between church and state? How about an amendment banning certain forms of free speech or criticizing the government? There are a lot of right and left wing nut jobs out there just itching to get the Constitution amended. Look at prohibition for an example. I say the Constitution works just fine, IF we actually followed what it says instead of just ignoring it as usual.

I've seen UFO's twice. I never believed in them until I saw the first one. Then after a few years I started thinking, maybe it was some sort of experimental aircraft or something. I saw the second one about three months ago and it wasn't a plane. It did have two F-16's chasing it though. They didn't stand a chance. It took off at an angle and zoomed out of sight after hovering for about 20 minutes over the mountains near my house. This was in broad daylight too. Funny, how it never made the news.

Why must the Russians make such huge freaking helicopters? It's always big, big, big with the transport aircraft and helos!

That was a good book. The best one I've ever read was Fields of Fire by James Webb, I believe. That was a very, very good book.

Oh, no problem. What I'm actually thinking of doing is taking the time to clean up the textures I have ready and sending them your way, that way you guys can do what you want with them and it won't take me two months to do the modeling. The thing is, I literally have around a hundred tropical plant textures and various high poly tropical plant models in 3ds format that need conversion. Did you guys get that download I put up? If you did, I'll send the models too.

I actually have a lot of textures ready to go for tropical plants, but it's only about half of what I have to put out. I'm so far behind on the Middle Eastern buildings pack I haven't had a chance to turn back to that project. Let me have a look at things and I'll see what I can do.

That's what I was thinking. Has he not heard of 3WX? This is exactly the kind of guy our Mod needs. Objects, buildings and plants. That's all we do and it looks as if he does it well.

You know, I'm not sure it's a good idea to lower the saturation. Â some plants, especially tropical plants have bright, waxy or reflective leaves. Â Lowering the saturation to match the faky looking plants already in OFP defeats the point of creating realistic plants and trees for the game. Â Don't lower the saturation to match the plants already in game. Â Those plants are European, and frankly, suck anyway. Â Modmakers should be putting out a product superior to the original game, not trying to match its crappiness. Lowering the saturation takes away the bright and vibrant colors of tropical vegetation, when the whole point of doing ropical vegetation is too have something different than the dull European vegetation we already have.

I've got some models of emergent trees in 3DS format. Emergent trees are the big 250 foot tall canopy toppers in the jungle. They have those huge bases with actual parasitic plants growing out of the trunk. I've been planning on doing some of these with vines, flowers and plants growing out of them when the desert stuff is finished.

Why not learn to model? There are excellent tutorials out there and it is really not that hard, just time consuming. It's sad really that people would lie about their skills. I am learning by trial and error. With each thing I make I get better and faster. I also am learning how to do some excellent textures. Maybe instead of firing him you should have put him to work by assigning him a project to model something simple, and then making him model harder and harder stuff as his skills grew. MSpencer, we sure could use your help over at 3WX with the Middle Eastern buildings project. It's going to take forever to complete unless I get some more help.

I can't see any real legal ramifications from this anyway. it's not like any money is being made. Even if the original maker were upset, what are they going to do, sue you for the fun everyone had with the addon?

You'd be surprised, but I'm sure he made them all by himself. Â BTW. There's a specialized 3d modelling program called "Onyx Tree Storm". Just do google for more details. Maybe that's what you need? Actually, as far as 3D low poly tree modeling programs go, Onyx is old school. There are much better programs out there like Natfx, Speedtree for 3D Studio Max and Xfrog. I have all 3 actually. Speedtree seems to be the best for designing trees with billboards suitable for OFP. When I have the time I am going to be using this to make some new trees for the game. Xfrog renders amazing looking photo quality vegetation, but it is often high poly, so adjustments need to be made to the model. Some Links: Xfrog 3.5 Natfx Speedtree (This Rocks!)

Hey, looks good, but you should retex the stripe and change the color to green. I may make a 3WX contribution to this project. I was thinking of doing the Nogovan Police Headquarters complete with motorpool, holding cells, processing area, property holding area, contraband vault and helipad.

Sounds like a job for Dinger and the fellas at COC, they have this stuff down pretty cold.
