  1. would LOVE to see some pacific style islands, even something like several smallish islands surrounded by water (duh) havnt really seen much like this in arma b4 (other than the vietnam maps) would be alot of work and custom content but could be truely epic
  2. oh ok, so just cus you COULD find it somewhere else, we should just not give a damn and forget the law? so in a sense, your saying just cus other fools do it, its ok for us to do it? wow, what logic! the point is its a matter of principle, they signed a "contract" giving their word to "keep it to themselves" idk about other armies, but one of the most important values of the australian army is integrity, those who know such info should know better, and should have enough respect for the rules and for their job to keep their mouths shut. also sorry for my grammer and spelling, as ive had one or two drinks :) Cheers Rhodesy

    hmm, does anyone know the name of the ahnd grip animation of the XM8 MG? i could use it for my F88's if anyone knows it let me know :) cheers also, nice work so far mate, keep at it.
  4. are you using mods? its got to do with the mod config, you using mods that were ment for arma1?

    Ive already tried with the F88's (same dimensions as the AUG) and the rifle is to short for those animations, so ive opted to have the grip in the folded position insted.

G'day, well the last few days ive been working on the F88's for the Project Aus mod. anyway this is my very first time working with weapons, and while im making some progress alot of it is hit and miss. b4 i go on id just like to ask if anyone is willing to take these off my hands lol, as i have alot of things that also need work... anyway onto my issues. ok theres a few, but ill start with these. first off the muzle flash is stuck there, now im sure its a simple fix and something stupid on my side of things, as ive seen it on plenty of other addons. (see screenshot1 (Red)) and then there is the trigger, currently im using a modified version of the config CMF team used for their weapons pack in a2. (simply used it to learn off of and i think its a good starting point) anyway this is the animation part of the config for the trigger. class trigger { type="rotationZ"; //The type of animation. source="reload"; //The controller that provides input. selection="trigger"; //The name of the skeleton bone used. axis="trigger_axis"; //The name of the axis in the model. minValue=0; //The minimum value of the motion range. i.e. The controller input when animation phase is 0. maxValue="1"; //The maximum value of the motion range. i.e. The controller input when animation phase is 1. angle0="0"; //The starting angle of this animation, where the animation phase is 0. angle1="-1"; //The ending angle of this animation, where the animation phase is 1. }; }; now the problem here is that the trigger seems to go off a much larger radius, like, well hard to explain so see screenshot1 (Blue), however it was like this with the defualt config settings, yet i tried to change em with no visual differences. now im also guessing this is something simple on my part.. and yes its named correctly, and i have the trigger axis where i think it should be lol. Screenshot1: now onto another problem, in first person the hands show through the rifle. ive heard of this happening a few times, but cant for the life of me remember what caused it. see screenshot2 Screenshot2: also another thing, these are all BF2 ports, and as such dont have selections for RVMATs (i think thats how u put them?) so far i have only a NOHQ for each of the skins, but id like to add a RVMAT for them all, how do i go about doing this? also please keep in mind im fairly new to modding from scratch, so decent explanations would be great, and once again if anyone is willing to lend a hand with these (as in take them off of mine lol) i would be damn happy to hand them over, but i have to say, they do need alot of work (just texture work and config, the 0.00res lod is done for all the varients, just the rest isnt... lol) anyway, Cheers Rhodesy. P.S. if u need me to post up any config, or screenshot of my memory LOD then just ask. but seeing as its not all my config, i held off doing it for now.

    ^ some1 give this man a beer! :P not a worry mate, its comments like that that keep me going :P, but also, i am not only to thank, non of this would be possible without the awesome work of this community, not only with model/work donations and contributions but also just general help when needed. i thank you all :)

    as of now we will not be changing anything in terms of the colour ratio of the units... not only as we dont want to offend anyone but i suspect those "Stats" of yours are outdated. also their are plenty of aboriginals serving with the australian defence force, expecialy in the NORFORCE :- if we can we will try to edit the african american faces to better represent the aboriginals. however this isnt exactly on the top of our list of things to do...

    PR is as far from BF2 as possible, trust me, i can not stand vbf2, but love PR, fair enough if some people dont like it, each to their own, but how dare some people who call the devs hard work "shit" they put all their spare time into making a mod THEY would like to play, not to catter to YOUR needs. like it or not, they have done an amazing job with the bf2 engine.

    um what? lol yer thats wrong... the warm up time is just there so people cant suddenly jump in a tank switch to the turret and start blowing shit up the instant they get in, for tanks its around 30 seconds untill your turret becomes active, which i think is resonable, but all this dosnt matter anyway since PR is NOT coming to arma2... they are focusing on finishing the mod for bf2, then are moving onto a indi game

  16. you will have to open up the rvmat (just with notepad or something) and change the paths to the other textures to your pbo folder.
  17. also the PR models arnt really that low quality, BF2 just makes em look that way lol. im using alot of models from the ADF branch of PR, and all of them are up to arma2 standards (the weapons anyway, bushmaster will need some work lol) also i beleive they make a hi poly version of every model for texturing? or something like that. not to sure lol, but yer the PR devs are good blokes :), and damn fine modders. best of luck mate

    Hey all, been awhile so thought id give a lil update, ive just started working again, so been pressed for time, but ive been hard at work on our Auscam units, original models and textures go to STALKERGB and Couger (for main player model) and Binkowski for the helmet and some smaller things. all config work and new texture + model work has been done by myself. atm as you'll see they are only armed with US M4's + M249 and so on, as im having trouble geting the F88's in game, so if anyone is willing to work on our weapon pack your help would be a god send, as ive never worked with weapons b4. and once we get the basic weapon pack done (F88's + F89 Minimi) i plan to release the troops just to get something out to u all, next planned to come is the landrovers and MRH90 and maybe some more vehicles. anyway here are the pics, Enjoy.   21. well really you shouldnt be travelling more than 500km/h on a cannon strafe anyway, you should slow down to about 350 - 450 as youll have more time on target and then once youve fired a 3 - 6 second burst you power off and bank left or right. shouldnt be coming in at hi speeds going PEWPEWPEPWPEWPPEW DIE DIE DIE!!!!!11ONE....
