How was that conducted like an operation. He lone wolfed it into an enemy camp like Rambo. Killed them all without being shot at once. Except for when he died the first try, that was cool. He then proceeded to man some 1970's era anti air gun and took down THREE aircraft effortlessly. Nothing to do with a ArmaII vs COD style of gameplay.

If shooting from inside vehicles is do-able in VBS2 then why not Arma2? It's a civilian/consumers port of VBS2 right?

I thought the whole point it to have textures and objects load faster when when your running around or flying you don't see textures on the walls of buildings popping up long after you've looked in their direction

Considerably faster? sources? I've been reading benches all week, can't be bothered to start posting comparison charts but the 480 is definitely not "considerably faster". Yes it wins here and there. One example of the 5870 being faster is that island looping bench in crysis, I forget what it's called. 5870 won that which was pretty surprising as cyrsis is supposed to be an nvidia optimized game. The only case where the 480 it is considerably faster is with extreme tessellation on something like the heaven benchmark. Thing is, games won't even be making use of tessellation until the next gen of dx11 cards start coming out.

I've followed that big thread about ram disks vaguely but was wondering some stuff. I want to use some of my RAM to make a virtual RAM disk so my textures and what not will load faster in arma2. But I see users say you want to have a lot of ram (unused ram) to put aside for the ram disk. I have 6 gigs of ram. But since arma2 only can utilize 2 gigs, would I be safe putting aside 2 of my 6 gigs (one stick) to create a ram disk? Thanks edit: I plan to do it based on this guide http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=131 but still have to find where in the ram disk thread how to direct arma 2 to my ram disk

Can we get the 1st post to be a constantly updating post with all new info about OA. I have no idea what is going on with OA or if there are even game play vids or a release date or anything.
