    Is there a camo that fits with the current SLA colour scheming? (Thinking of their Hokum) Maybe an RACS colour scheme as well? Essentially the colour of their MH/AH-6s and UH-60s, with the RKS flag on the side behind the doors, towards the tail.

    Well, you can usually still save it. Although I guess the engine failure should be a bit more random. This man speaks the truth, you can save it, it's just hard to figure out if you have no RL experience with Choppers (I have some, but it's almost none)

    Strange, everyone I play with can fly Helicopters (Though there are occasional accidents, like when a certain friend filling the role of pilot for me, as I'd been caught napping at base and had my legs broken due to being shot, crashed my UH-60 with all hands into trees near Valejo, South Sahrani), I find the flight model personally to require the right mixtures of flight skill and situational awareness. *shrug* Planes however... Well, we only have one person who can fly those. (I blame my lack of a joystick though)

    KA50 AT Weapon Fix for ArmA 1.14

    First off: He suggested tweaks that would make the system more realistic, not removing it. It's a capability of the Vikhrs, it's just that the way the game handles it makes it somewhat better than it is. And secondly: IL-2? "Us vs Them"? Most IL-2 players I know would argue that this statement is invalid.. Lots of people play all the sides in IL-2 (For instance, I'll play all sides, but my Father sticks with the Germans because he loves their fighters, etc.)

    BF2's flight model is terrible. The ArmA one is better, somewhat more realistic, and once you get the hang of it, it's great. Sure, it could use a few tweaks (I want to be able to perform roll-on landings at speed, and rudder should be slightly more effective), but otherwise, it's fine.

    TCP animations are alright, but I prefer the more "28 Days Later" style that the Yomies seem to have. (For example, the best mission that uses the Yomies, Quarantine, wouldn't be nearly as scary/tense if the zombies shambled at you like standard ones.)

    Campaign "Range of Dead"

    Just finished this campaign and I have to say that it was brilliant, although it ended quite suddenly. The English was a little off in places, but that is completely understandable (Heck, it confuses native speakers at times). If you've got a sequel in the works, I can't wait. This was excellent.

    Ah, fair enough, led to an annoying situation where one of my friends rescued my survivor by accident after I'd been hit by Zack (Yep, it's where we got it from) and stopped him from boarding my UH-60 which was on the roof of the hotel in Chantico.

    Hmmm, for missions available to the player. You already have planned rescuing downed pilots and escorting scientists. How about a mission to link up with some survivors who have contacted the Military via radio to report their location and the fact that they have Zack closing in (Zack being the nickname that me and my friends give zombies)? I can think of other ideas, but a few require AI gunners to shoot at the Yomies =/ Oh, possible bug. Other players can rescue survivors that you have rescued, essentially removing them from your control.

    Same card, but I don't have that problem. However, the people I was playing with both experienced it at one point, but their FPS drop eventually went away.

    An Addon that prevents gunners jumping out of Immobilised vehicles? Just because a Humvee has had a tire shot off doesn't make the vehicle useless.

    I was quite determined to run them over because I was running supplies to the military base and didn't want to exit the vehicle except to rescue survivors. When I had an MH-6, this wasn't so much of a problem, I'd drop my two comrades in a city, they'd clear it, and I'd dustoff with the survivors whilst they made their own escape (If we'd managed to fill the Heli with survivors) Interesting to hear how it works though, I hope a workaround can be found so that we can have viable AI squadmates who aren't Yomie bait.

    KA50 can shoot down aircraft in ArmA why?

    I've just been checking out the manufacturers specs (The only people I'm trusting about it, seeing as they made the blooming missile) for the AGM-114 Hellfire. Lockheed Martin give no mention of any Air-to-Air or even Surface-to-Air capacity for their missiles, which if present, wouldn't be quite a major selling point, no? There are variants of the AGM-114, but none of those are even AA capable, mostly they're for dealing with specific targets, bunkers, ships and the like. Calm down Ricnunes, it would appear that IF the AGM-114 has AA capabilities (And I remain doubtful after checking out Lockheed-Martin and finding no mention of it), then it's so ineffective as to be unmentioned by the manufacturers, whereas the Vikhrs is designed with that dual-purpose in mind. Feel free to search the Lockheed-Martin site and find information that contradicts that which I found by quickly googling it (Search was "Lockheed Martin Hellfire") Edit: I believe, that if any AA capability is introduced, it's probably due to the Longbow FCS. Which, as you may have noticed, is not present in ArmA due to lack of AH-64/WAH-64 2nd Edit: Discussed it with a guy who would know this sort of thing, and he mentions that the AH-64 can certainly use it in an AA capacity, but it is only useful against slow-moving air targets (Helicopters) and due to the fact that the warhead is impact detonated, a good pilot can get out of the way as soon as the "Lock-on" warning is triggered. He was, however, a little hazy on the AH-1Z's capability to do this.

    Not one that I've encountered, which makes it pretty odd. You may have problems with the game if you're going to have a bug like that, the zombies are deadly to anyone who's FPS drops suddenly or they experience an internet lag spike. EDIT: I also think that Weredragon, the server host, is creating a personal edit of the map for us, mainly to equate to "saved progress" from our game last night. So that we still have our Fuel/Repair Urals, our BRDM-2, Army 4x4 with MG, Police Car and my MH-6. I also believe he's giving us some AI squadmates to fortify Valejo with and to man the guns on the UH-60 when I can afford it. If he integrates anything from any addons, I'll let you know in the PM and link you to said addons. (None of this is meant in offence to D. Murphy Man, it's just that we want to hold onto our Gear for when we resume playing)

    JIP works, but I'm not sure about how crashing and rejoining is handled, as strangely enough it didn't happen last night (Odd, because one of the people I was playing usually experiences crashes due to Vista, of course, 1.14 may have fixed this)

    Next time my friend is hosting, I'll ask him if he minds you joining (Be aware it's semi-RPish the way we play, as it's something to do other than our semi-RP Coop campaign set during the Sahrani Conflict), and then will PM you the server name and password if he agrees.

    Setting up at Valejo, playing with two friends. One had bought a Fuel Urals, the other a BRDM-2, and I had bought a MH-6, and was providing Aerial recon. The whole atmosphere as I went ahead of our little convoy, reporting on the concentrations of the infected along the route, before heading to Valejo to begin clearing it of the infected was absolutely awesome. I love this map

    I wasn't saying he should release it right away, I was merely stating my personal opinion that they probably will not care about their ArmA assets any more.

    Call for support from air!

    There are smoke grenades which can be popped off if you need close air support. The guys I play with use green to mark friendly locations, and red smoke to mark enemy locations. So, you'll have to find some way to acquire those grenades to make it easier. (I'm generally an SF Marksman, for some reason, so I have them as a default)
