I've been having so much fun with this mod on KH server. Everything's so polished :) Though, we need more "Frontlines TvT" missions.

Excellent mod, I'm really enjoying it. Much much more polished compared to the first release :) One thing I noticed though, it seems that headshots are not one-shot kills anymore. It takes two headshots to take someone down :S

Awesome launcher! Spirited Machine's launcher doesn't work for me for some reason, and this launcher does the job even better. Thanks for the hard work :) -
Awesome patch. I was skeptical about the animation speeds but they help "smoothing out" the gameplay. AI is also much improved. Thanks for all the support BIS. BTW when's the ArmA 3 coming out? :)

I don't like the new animations. Yes, current animations are really clunky and movement feels so stiff like the games from 90's, but ArmA 2 is based on current animations. Speeding them up 2x after 2 years from release is a really amateur solution. It looks ridiculous. Either introduce a better animation system with an expansion, or save the "improvements" for the next game. -
YES I have most of my library on Steam and a Steamworks enabled ArmA would be a big plus.

I couldn't agree more with the OP(well except the "MMO" part, no). Of couse you have to have a campaign, but focusing on campaigns after the release is just pointless. I never played any of BIS' campaigns through to the end, DLC campaigns has no interest for me. They've mostly became stale/cliche with horrible voice acting halfway. This game(franchise) lives, because of it's multiplayer. Because of it's coop, because of it's PvP. It's lackluster in terms of stability and accessibility, but somehow this community seems to have learned to get along with it. As the OP says, improve the netcode. Work on new gameplay modes, pick one (like "This mode defines ArmA soul, this will be the "official" MP gamemode and we'll support it) and improve it with new features. I also think this game has incredible MP potential, but it's very hard for new people to realise it. And for the people like me, it's painful to get along with the current MP.

How does the new "tactics" functionality work? The readme seems like it hasn't been updated for a long time and going through the last pages hasn't revealed anything.

I still get the "Hold Fire" problem with the newest version. "AI Freeze" issue seems to have gone however. Otherwise, incredible addon.

After reformatting, I though I'd give this one a try again. To my surprise I still cannot drag and drop addons into groups. When I do that, nothing happens. I have Steam OA, and DVD ArmA 2. I really want to use this launcher as it's the best one for CO. Any help is appreciated. -

It may come a bit odd, but for the FPS combat AI, I'd say Killzone 2. Every opponent had a distinct personality. eg. the riflemen kept their distance and used cover while putting down suppressive fire, SMG and shotgun guys quickly closed the distance between you and them and then blasted off in your face, all while using cover. It was pretty intense. They even shouted each other, giving tactics :) That being said, I can't wait for the third game. -
What does zeu_c_ai_rof does actually? Does it affect players or AI only?

Thanks for the new version. You guys keep adding more gameplay features than BIS ever did :) Would you ACE team be so kind and create an installer for the stable versions? I am struggling to get my more "casual" friends in this mod because always a download fails, or Six-Updater / Yoma doesn't work etc. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could improve the "accesibility" part. -

Just make sure you have a decent CPU. The game is not GPU intensive.

Kinect has a huge input lag so you can forget controlling any "hardcore" games with it. It's only for casual gamers. Besides, you have to be standing for it to work properly.

ArmA 2 Game Launcher

Looks like great program, but I can't get it to work properly. My problem is that on the Addons screen, I drag and drop the addons into Groups but nothing happens. I can't get them to show up on the right side. I have the groups and Addonds/Mods ticked on the right. It's really frustrating. Anyone knows a solution? -
It's actually a pretty cool feature, and I'm sure it takes more scripting to do it then leaving it to AI. AI pilots are mostly very annoying.

I've just had a go on this mission, and I think it's awesome. I think you made all the right choices here; group respawning, player controlled air support, intelligent respawning of enemies and all-around intense atmosphere. I can see this mission becoming much much better. Here's some suggestions; 1) Currently the villages seem quite empty. I think it would be much more intense if you added some AI civilians in the mix, with some big penalty of any casualties. 2) OPFOR slots are a great idea, but it still can be expanded on. Maybe you can do a real PvP version with AI civilians added? I can see it becoming very popular. 3) Please keep the Squad-AI so that the mission can still be playable with few players. Thanks again for the great mission, I hope you continue your work.
