Are you able to divulge(in any way shape or form) what these show stopper bugs may have been in relation to?
Any info on this mod has a good lot of us salivating even if it's something your trying to make work and not having luck with :P.

The video's that we've seen which are old WIP's were so impressive, i must say this is the mod that has me most excited. BTW Stark, didnt realise you were into Arma, im registered to AC, hope everything works out there!

Agreed. Fabrizio, have you considered getting some alpha/beta testers to help you along. As time is a constraint for you if you set out things you need testing perhaps it would be beneficial.

Fantastic work thus far. Looking forward to this mod in a big way - it would be awesome to see islands created with such gameplay in mind in terms of resource points, choke points etc.

To play but that solid base of infantry tactics in a number of
Scenarios (Forrest, urban, mechanised etc) there would be be nothing else I'd ever need to play.

If porting mods from arma2 to arma3 isn't too difficult and a3 fixes the lackluster netcode and has some extra bonus goodies and PR decides
To port to A3 we may be looking at an incoming golden age.

July's gonna be a great month, my second child and first son, and PR. Looks like i wont get a whole lot of time to play it, but im sure ill find a bit of time :)
Awesome that BIS got on board, and that interface looks snazzy, perhaps they can keep some of that for themselves for the good future of ARMA ;)

A good start is to start fairly simple. I'd recommend a sound mod, my preference is csm2 (quick search here or on google/YouTube) and after a bit of vanilla play a AI mod, either slx or zues.

Since it is extremely difficult to move one thread into this one, I guess I'll just copy/paste my suggestion here.I'm sure it needs to be said, even if someone is already on it.
This combat action was something almost completely out of an action movie, SOOO many things could have easily gone wrong. Its a miracle the that nothing hit the fan.
I personally think it is worth doing, and doing RIGHT.
For now, I'll suggest some things for whatever missionmaker is brave enough to do this correctly, since BIS obviously have their hands full.
Here's a few suggestions:
1. Random script to have one of the helos fail enroute.
2. Random script to have local populace notice helos (Twitter feed).
3. Random script to have OPFOR/local military academy/Pakistani Air Force/local town react to either Twitter, helos, or gunfire(Could lead to very unique BHD type scenario). Also stress to the players the situation of such problems.
4. Random amount/quality of bodyguard.
5. GOOD VOICE ACTING AND RADIO CHATTER.
Please discuss and brainstorm, I'll be back later for more suggestions.

IMHO, the professionals should do this.
If noone from the Arma community can do it right, then I'll be glad to see this when Battlefield 3 comes out.

Osama bin laden mission pleaseMy mediocre skills are trying as we speak but I am a amateur. All I have is a location and some half assed attempts at an insertion via helo.
Location can be the villa on zargabad.. Perhaps some more skilled people could elaborate on what else we could do.

When I first saw them early videos of the squad breaking contact and moving around the enemy to get to a objective I was in love.

Would it ever! I'm used to either trying to call all the shots of a single squad or play the backseat as a grunt, having control of where other squads start, or how they play a little would be great.

Not a whole lot to be honest my "missions" usually ends with me placing disproportional forces around some town/city and clearing them out without rhyme or reason.
Having just adding gl4 to my extensive mod list I discovered the enemy will garrison buildings. This has been a blast, though disappointed that my troops don't flush them out.
Step in Jtd building search.
They kicked my ass out of the buildings, so this could lead to some very fun gameplay for me.
So basically if I could have a couple of friendly spec op squads moving ahead of my armored contingent clearing out those pesky at troops I would be very happy.

Ive played with the demo, and managed to kill a fair few of them off, but it sure is hard. Heres the real issue. I got no idea how to implement this myself, and when i tried to fire up the missions in the editor to have a look, they appear to be read only.
Ive looked through the SQF's and still got no idea. Im a script nub. :(

I barely play online. I barely play missions. Arma to me is basically about the editor and I have a blast with all the mods and little bullshit Ambushes I set up.
That said, with PR having it Possibly blocked off, I find myself absolutely unphased. I will play PR as intended, and if I find the need fOr some editor goodness I'll fire up one of my other quality mods instead and go for my life.
I can't see how it's a deal breaker at all, and surely there will be many nice missions to begin with and with an editor as nice as arma's it wouldn't surprise me if new missions didn't become available on a regular basis - and talented people adamant to do such things with PR might consider trying to get on board the team as a mission maker.
