  1. Theyre goal isnt 'were too good to allow our stuff mixed in with the rest' they just want somthing we can all get on and play - which is good and simplifies the fun.

If our community wasnt so blessed where we can mix and match our mods, and it was a game on another platform, i dont think we would actually complain, ie, HalfLife mods Counterstrike and DayofDefeat etc etc.

We'll be right Jeepo, i bet most of the angst is because people wanna play :P

  2. Make your own mission.

Well and good, kinda tough on the average Joe coming into the game- only tip for new dudes is read read read and download missions throw them in the editor and look at how things are done.

I'm currently making a mission with DAC and a single infected dude, he infects the first town quickly enough but doesn't seem to travel to seek out more. I thought this was a core function of the zeds? I'll need to do more obs!

  3. Sorry to be the idiot in the thread, but how do I use these? I stumbled upon this thread after typing 'custom armies DAC' and im sure im in the right place... Thanks guys.

    EDIT:

Through trial and error i think ive gotten somewhere and now know how to use this!!! For sombody whos never touched a .sqf before thats quite a feat and im proud :)

How do i figure out other 'pool' names for custom armies, ie, the Australians at War mod, id like to have a few of them roaming about my missions.

  4. I voted anyhow. I looked through moddb and there's nothing else I'm following so why not. Besides if they were to win, it means more resources for them which in turn means more goodies for us.

On one hand were about community and then on the other we are cut throat.

I understand there's a bit of history with PR and the arma community but it would be the best if they were welcomed like the others.

  5. UK_Force;1803971']An Update is overdue indeed' date=' and our initial release date is way over schedule.

However the reason for this, is quite simply because, what the team have started to create has far exceeded what my aim was for v0.1.

All of this is very good, and well worth waiting for what will be a great "PR Core", and something to take forward with more frequent updates from the team.

Don't get me wrong, I am itching to get this released myself, but I need to hold back until the time is right and things are doing what they should do.

    .[/quote']

See, when people are waiting it's things like this that ease the burden of time. That wasn't direct info, but it's something- tidbits are even better. Cheers

  6. Lots of hate towards the PR team, i assume its from the arrogance present from some of the team, and that probably stems from the hate dished towards them. LOL - i dont care, I just want to see how the mod is - and from what ive witnessed it should be good, and i was quite impressed with what they managed to do with BF2:PR.

Slow progress is fine if its in the right direction, but id love to know what that direction currently is.

  7. Ok I'll post some more details when I get home from work, I'm keen to oc but I have zero experience and I don't know anybody who does it, so I guess I'll need to start doing some reading up, and get some extra cooling inside the rig?

I don't suffer "texture" popping but I would like to increase my fps a bit, as I have most settings on medium / low and my anti aliasing doesn't seem all that crash hot either.

Should I still go ahead and google this "ram disk"? From what I've written would I still benefit from it?
