You do realize how much effort such a thing would take, especially for an already released game? It would require major overhauls on the engine. -

I agree. It was easier to look for the units in ArmA and OFP. With so much empty space in the unit list, perhaps it would be even better to display the unit type next to the name too? :) -
Please use the other thread you already made, because both of them are basicly about the same issue.

Usually soldiers switch their weapon into the safe mode when in vehicles, so it's logical to have the firing mode "reset" when you disembark.

This hopefully answers your editing question. What does player do with the points and does it matter if he loses them? Personally I always try to finish the mission the fastest and easiest way, unless there are consequences.

You can even take out tanks with the LAW launcher from a kilometer away, if you've got the skills. I gave the mission a try and I must say that it's a little confusing. The objectives were frequently ticking red and green, even though I didn't do anything - While I was on the way to another objective, it would a minute later tick green again and the other objective behind me goes red, so I return back, but the same thing happens vice versa. I also thought the objectives were kinda far away from each other. I don't like traveling. There's also a slight flaw in the mission due to the frequent objective ticking - You might aswell travel straightaway to the last objective, clear it and wait until the three other objectives tick green on their own, making the mission last less than 10 minutes, unlike you promised. Voice acting is good, but not so suitable for American characters, because of the accent. The ZU's at the crossroad don't engage the player, making them useless. I like the idea of defending several areas from enemy waves and then counterattack, but it could use some improvements.

I'd be interested to know if there's any logic in the speed values of the animations. Since you've been working with them a lot, I thought you'd have some kind of idea. What would the value below mean in km/h? class StandWalkF:StandBase { ... [b]speed=-1.2[/b];

More addOns are always welcome, but have you got the permissions for porting all that over to Arma 2? -

Sounds like a design fault, in that case. You might just skip that mission.

You could try making a null PBO named music.pbo and put it into a mod folder. Do not replace the original music.pbo in the vanilla Addons folder, use a mod folder. That would get rid of the vanilla soundtracks, but you might get some errors about missing files when soundtracks are being played, so you might need to create some null OGG files too, named the same as the original files in the original music.pbo. However, this doesn't get rid of custom soundtracks. For that you just need to mute the music volume setting in game.

Just a thought: Do you really want to show the time left to the player? Personally I think it could be disturbing... of course depending on the way you show it. But you could just give the player a hint saying that "Something will happen in 5 minutes, get ready", unless you really, really want to keep the player updated of the time left.

It's a known issue. There's already some discussion about it in the general Arma 2 forum section: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=90591 And I agree that localized games should have the option to switch to English. For now you could try the unofficial English patch. It should be somewhere in the Addons & Mods: Complete forum section, if you look around. -

Personally I prefer the version with the clutter on it, as it gives the ground more "life" and would probably make camouflaging, blending into the terrain easier.
