Thanks for the updates, the new retextures look awsome! Congrats also on the integration of the foregrip system on the Galils. Will you add compatibility with foregrips from mods like RHS / MGM grips  or will it be limited to your own content due to coding/animation restrictions? Will we see the foregrips implemented on other infantry weapons (the shotgun and the M14 / M1A come to mind)?  Keep up the great work and keep safe.

I would like to use other grips from RHS for example but this system is very limited so we have to use our own , which isnt a big deal tho , about other guns - shotgun doesnt have rails so likely no and m14 got bottom rail but only for bipod

we considered adding rifle grenades, we'd need to script a few bits and i hate sqf with a passion, we'll see

a custom suppressor model has been added already (reposting)

You don't need a script , you can do it as a invisible GL and with power of hiding - there is other mod who does that and it quite works well

and what i meant by compatibility , can it support all custom made 5.56 suppressors? 😄

Hey I was wondering about the new pmags

are they just a first release or are they complete? The texture on the tan mags is way to light rather than the magpul fde/medium coyote tan of the real ones, they stick out on any gun.

also they have the gen 3 grip on the front/back yet are clearly gen 2 mags? and one last thing, the baseplate is forward a bit.

Color is directly based from Magpul site and in Arma it's very tricky to get the color right , also IRL photos it really depends on lighting which makes color darker or lighter to appear

    Spoiler

    Magpul-Gen2-Non-Window-FDE-30rd-1.jpg

Btw all FDE/Tan parts from different companies don't really fit into each other in terms of color because everybody got its own tone or type to use.

Yes it has front grip bumps but not on back , possibly to fix but that will require quite a redoing the texture and the baseplate is fine even on real pmag gen2 it is slightly forward.

Hi. I have noticed in the arsenal that some weapons feature folded or collapsed butt stocks when you first select them. Once you leave the arsenal, the weapon is fully deployed. Is there a way to fold/unfold the weapons outside the arsenal?

    Thanks in advance.

No sadly , i wish there was a better way to do this - you can do this way or scripted way like RHS does but that isnt ideal tho

Well, I'm not sure where you got those 30 inches but I measured it in OB and it's 22.5 inches which is not that odd for marksman rifles. Unless you are counting in muzzle brake as barrel too...

For a non bullpup semi automatic rifles yes but for a bullpup rifle even that's too much , atm it's more like a LSW - real the Grot marskman only uses 16 inch barrel so does most of the bullpups , because it's a perfect balance for a bullpup

also if you mount the BI's trademarked long suppressor , yea ... :tounge2:

It seems like I have noticed a problem with some of the assets... I believe AK-12 (Despite it being AK-15 in reality), is about 2 times heavier than real life for example.I think other ones are Minimi based machineguns, they also weigh more than in real life while other rifles/machineguns seem to generally weigh around real life weights.I believe some APEX weapons and variants of those Contact/APEX weapons are also quite a bit heavier than real life base they used. AK-15 in real life weighs 4.16kg in combat weight and weighs about 3.33kg non-combat weight with RPK at 6kg combat weight. In-game AK-12 weighs almost twice as real life one at 6.7kg or so. I do hope that devs will go over the weights of weapons once again. It's sort of weird to see the inconsistency in weights which affects stamina stat heavily even before gearing out for combat.

True , but it's bacause of A3 mass system

//: oops , can you merge this

the msbsk looks almost like a scar, i think the bullup is more stylized.

Which has always been the rule for vanilla a3 stuff, style and sandbox demonstration.

Its been easier to faction-code bullpup weapons for sci-fi/futurish stuff

MSBS is actually based on Magpul Masada aka later ACR fyi 😉

More ridiculous is that A3 Promet MR - got like 30 inch barrel

    I know it's an AK-15 but not.

The mag is just outright bent too steep in the middle.

Weird thing: the AKM steel mag is the right shape while the AK-15 12 is too bent.

That's because originally that model was 5.45 model but they changed it for 7.62x39 so they bended the mag to look like a banana shape , this was before mag proxy so thats the whole story

but now they could easily get a correct magazine for it since now there is mag proxy , you can make the original AK-12 and AK-15 at the same time , but BI chose a easy way :P

AK-12s are weird in some ways:

    - 30rd mag has a wrong shape (way too curved)

-7.62 suppressor is still too longman

A3 AK-12 is suppose to be more like AK-15 meaning that they use 7.62x39 magazines instead of 5.45 mags as default AK-12 uses

and about those suppressors , yea well you know BI loves those extra long suppressors for some weird reason

Is there any chance that the APEX AK-12 7.62 mm and the GL variant will be renamed as AK-15 since the reallife counterpart chambered in 7.62x39 mm is called the AK-15?

ArmA 3 - AK-12 is accurate to the AK-12 gen2 prototype - latest AK-12 and AK-15 are totally different guns

As for the naming - in that time they didnt decided but for ArmA 3 sake , we could have AK-12 , AK-15 etc so on if BI will add 5.45 variants too

    2nm18uy.png
since the original model was 5.45 version

KAC QDSS/NT4 Suppressor that "attaches" with the front of the suppressor at the end of the barrel. essentially the idea is that the suppressor would clip through the normal barrel to emulate the look of a MK18 Mod 0. basic mockup below with suppressor made translucent to illustrate.

Nope it doesn't , it attaches directly to the Muzzle Device in front - http://imagesvc.timeincapp.com/v3/foundry/image/?q=60&url=https%3A%2F%2Fs3.amazonaws.com%2Fthe-drive-staging%2Fmessage-editor%2F1525452451449-m38.jpg

it doesn't work like gate latch like on M110 and its long suppressor which does cover the barrel
