Just wanted to say that I'm already loving this mod, thanks for making it.:)

    When did you purchase OFP?

I bought the GOTY edition in 2004 after downloading the demo out of curiosity. By now, I've probably played more OFP than any other game in my life. For some reason I never got around to playing MP until this year. (I was scared of online games for a long time). Now I love it, and I wish I had done it sooner. There aren't too many people left. :( Someday in the future I might have a computer that can handle Arma1 or even Arma2.

    Village De-Pacification (WGL mod)

Hello. This is my first mission, current version 2.8. It's already been posted to the OFPEC beta forums: http://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=34428.0 The download is at the bottom of the post. The mission is still in beta, but nothing really serious has been reported for a while. Thought I would share it here to get some more feedback. Description: Command a 12-man resistance squad against Soviet occupiers in town of Larche. Option of retreating or fighting against significant reinforcements. I aimed for a short mission with lots of classic OFP infantry carnage. Several waves of enemy counterattacks need to be fought off to get the "happy" ending. Addons: War Games League (WGL) Mod version 5.12 . Available at http://ofpc.de/wargames/news.php http://www.ciahome.net/node/265 Enjoy!

    Village De-Pacification (WGL mod)

Yeah, I've been a bit of a perfectionist, when it comes to revising this mission. :D The current version is pretty close to final, though. EDIT: Another new version! It has custom sounds as well as a ton of little tweaks. Sadly, there's a bug that I couldn't get rid of. After the player's retry position is saved, which happens when the resistance approaches the town, and he reloads to that position (say after dying), it seems that the radio transmissions won't work. The game gives me an error dialog box that says "cannot find radio transmission smallarmor" or whatever the name of the radio transmission is. It's as though the game has forgotten the description.ext file. This does NOT happen when the player goes all the way through without reloading (but that's kinda hard, in a mission this difficult). I'm stumped. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future version. Any tips?
  5. So yeah, I've had OFP:GOTY since '04 but never got around to doing anything but singleplayer with it. I don't have ArmA because my computer is too sluggish for it. I guess I have three questions: (1) Is it worth trying to get into OFP multiplayer? (2) Does anybody still play? (3) If so, what mod(s) do they tend to use? (4) What should I know as a complete newbie so that I won't be an annoying n00b? Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Should I try OFP multiplayer and if so, how?

Okay, I'm downloading the CiA/FDF mods now. This should be interesting!

    Words to Resistance music

Hello. There is a certain track to the Resistance score. In the Mission editor it is called Resistance Track 2; if you unpack O.pbo it is called res02.ogg; I believe it plays in the Resistance campaign on the first mission when Victor is on the bus or refueling at the gas station and he finds out that the communists have quit the government. It looks like it was composed by Ondrej Matejka, not Seventh, and if so it would be the only piece of his OFP music with words in it. Which brings me to my question: What is he saying? Is it in Czech? But some parts of sound an awful lot like English. If it is in Czech, does any kind Czech speaker know what the words mean? I'm just curious, and I don't see this question dealt with anywhere else. Cheers.

How do I move through Forests?

Hey folks, I'm a somwhat casual player of OFP, had it for about 1 1/2 years. I've never figured out a good way to move through forests. I was able to finish After Montingac but only by getting out of there as quickly as possible. Even when I have a big squad with me it seems like the results of forest engagements are almost entirely determined by chance (or foreknowledge from having died in the same mission before). Avoiding forests altogether is of course an option, but it seems like forests ought to be the infantryman's best friend. Any tips? I searched and didn't find what I was looking for. If this has been dealth with before, I apologize.

Do officers make their squads smarter?

    Yes, that's what I meant.

Do officers make their squads smarter?

Hey guys, thanks for the tips on forests. I have another question. Occasionally I've heard that if you kill the officer in the enemy squad, the survivors will be stupider and therefore easier to pick off. I've kinda noticed something like this myself but it might just be the power of suggestion. Is it true that officers make their squads smarter? Thanks.
