I really, really hope so...

Bought my copy today from the GAME store here in Gloucester, England. It was 2nd in the chart, and when I was being served, I asked the guy how it was selling. He said 'It's doing extremely well for a PC title!' So there you go, it must be doing OK, at least...

I think in Enemy Territory when you TK some one and say sorry the TKed can "forgive" you. Hint:Idea for scripters or BIS. Edit:Code tag error Unfortunately, this was included in BF2, and guess what? Whilst the guys in my clan woudl forgive me, (they knew me) any outsiders would still punish, even if I said sorry, so that doesn't seem to work...

Punishing for TKs is all very well, but I don't want to be too badly punished if it's an accident. I can assure you that I am not the sort of player who TKs on purpose. It really annoys me in games like Hidden & Dangerous 2, where if you TK someone, you get -10 points, and if you kill 3 people, you get auto-kicked. I spend ages building up my score, then suddenly some dork runs infront of me and I accidentally kill him, therefore it's an accidental TK, so in effect, if I say sorry, I shouldn't be punished for it...

Hehe, I think Maruk has a secret deal going with Amazon...

So what happend to the 505 Special Edition? I've heard nothing of it so far...
-
Sorry to say it Luciano, but you're wrong about Soldner. I reinstalled it yesterday after a long break, and there are at least 200 people playing it as I am writing this. I think you assume to much mate...
-
@ Luciano - The reason I thinik you've made enemies in here is because of the tone in your posts. Accusing people of being 'Wrong, wrong, wrong!!!' when it is actually YOU that is wrong, makes you look silly. It was stated in an interview by Jyri Rydl or one of the BIS team that ArmA will be an ongoing project, so try reading some associated literature first. Fair enough, you have a right to your point of view, but in your very first post in this thread, you openly attacked people for praising BIS for what they view as a solid accomplishment. Those people can praise BIS, and you can attack BIS, it works both ways remember...

Well, it's good to know that you US guys finally have a confrimed publsiher, although I do remember what Atari did with the game Boiling Point - Road to Hell. Basically, they forced the developers to change so much stuff in the game that it totally ruined it. They were forced to change all the rifle names from real ones to stupid, made-up ones, and they were forced to remove all real-world references, like the pictures of Che Guevera and stuff. Ah well, let's wait and see how Atari deal with the release. I'm not one for knocking something until I've seen how it works...

bummer ain't it? I am begining to wonder if US publishers are uneasy about singing and marketing a MilSim so close to realism at this time due to the political issues in the country. please, no one, I don't mean to start a political battle, just a though I had... unfortunatly everything gets a political label and slant these days in the US Man I like being wrong  Thanks BIS/Idea for finding a pub for the North American market!!! Yeah, just wait til they tell you it's EA...

Actually Fox, I seem to remember him talking about his Impressum, so I imagine that he does have one...
-
Sad but possibly true...

So any news on where the 505 Special Edition is being sold? I wanted to pre-order one so that they don't all disappear...
-
Well, at least 1 person in here took it seriously, and it sure wasn't me...
-
ROFL Please tell me you didn't take Celery and Walker seriously?
-
Hmmm yeah, that French cover is, really interesting. Â That's about all I can say really... Â Edit - Though on further thought, if a guy sees that in a store, he might think 'Hmmm, Armed Assault, I wonder what that's about.' Then he'll turn it over to look at the screenshots and stuff on the back...

No we just live better, now excuse me while i go eat my big steak in front of my huge TV while i enjoy the freedom to walk where i please just in case i get the urge to get off my fat overpaid underworked ass What? Â And then get arrested for jaywalking? Â Â Â

Ronin I think you totally missed my point. I was just confused how you seem to think that Americans 'expect' bug-free games when you have bug-ridden stuff like BF2 on the market, which I have played and enjoyed BTW...
-
ROFL So what was that game called? Ummm, oh yeah, that's it! BF2?!?
-
Yes. This is something I would like to see...
-
This is one thing I totally agree with. BIS please add this ASAP...

Part of the reason I chose to do the job I do is because of the humour I gain from working with non-native-English speakers. I once lived with a Russian guy, and we both gained great pleasure from trying to understand each other's cultures and languages... -

Hmmmm... Â Say what? Â Sorry, had to laugh at the last 2 words... Â Â Not everyone has english as their first language, they should not be treated different because of that. EDIT: He's japanese, their form of language is alot different from english, that's why his english is really bad. Nevertheless, he should not be treated different. Yes, I know. That's why I do the job I do. I am a lingust/translator, and I understand the relationships between languages very well. It is New Year's Eve, I've had a few beers, and am pretty chilled out. You don't have to tell me about other peoples' languages. Thanks...
