If i remember correctly from my time in army. Launching rpg from prone position isn't very wise thing to do. You might burn your legs. I seem to remember having this discussion whilst doing beta testing on Soldner - Secret Wars. A guy with experience showed us how, when firing prone, the launcher is held at a certain angle so that the backblast won't affect the firer...

But the fact is (not disagreeing with your points) that no one who played JO really cared, because it was so awesome that you could actually move around and shoot inside the vehicle, which was and still is really, really cool... Â True, but why use so much time on a very cool engine, and then just do a lousy job at modelling the vehicles :/ Not being a coder, would you have to spend more time on making the model look good, or so that you could shoot from it?

Why dont we call it ArmA2 from now on? Â Reason being Codemasters own Operation:Flashpoint and are working on the official OFP2. ArmA was originally a kind of OFP v 1.5 but now seems to have developed into a game of its own rights and there for should stand alone as ArmedAssault v 1. Game2 is, technically, an unofficial sequel to OFP by the original developers and is an advancement on ArmA which, as i said, is a stand alone game. Â Therefor Game2 could be refered to as ArmedAssault 2 cutting down confusion for Noobs...what do you think? But then there would be lots of children/whiners screaming 'OMFG1!!!1111!!!! Why are you working on ArmA2 when the first one isn't even ready yet?' Â Â Â

The L1A1 (better known as the SLR - Self Loading Rifle). Based on the FN FAL, but made at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory in Australia. It was single shot only (but could be modified for full auto fire, which the SASR did). Was also known as the "slur" and to the SASR it was "the bitch". Ah yes the SLR. I know a lot about it, but have never actually seen a picture before. All the guys I know who were in the UK Armed Forces before they got the shitty L85 rave on about it...

Regarding that Australians in Vietnam, what rifle is it they are using in those screenshots? It looks awesome!

Firstly, great update, how can anyone possibly be disappointed? Secondly, the competition. Â Those things towards the right of the screenshot are trucks right? Â So I wouldn't class those as armour, which means that the only armour I can positively identify would be the Abrams, which any good soldier knows has armour that was specially designed to be invincible to RPG rounds... Â So?
