  1. Agreed can see a poor mans warfare mode with this system - choppers flying in reinforcements to secure lzs, wow just amazing work. Not to detract but try MCC_Sandbox for the camera modes is just beautiful to watch plus you can hijack individual units, great for fun or debugging:)

Its only a guess but I think the AI get tunnel vision when waypoints are set, especially on hold fire commands, may be wrong though so I doubt its anything at all to do with HAC rather ingame mechanics, on a different note works great with blakes ai forward observer and BI should hire you for your coding skills and dedication IMO - it would be a must to see in arma 3 as it allows me to play a member of a squad rather than having to lead them and makes the whole game seem more immersive than it has ever been.

Sorry to be a pain, I tried without ASR AI using just ACE I have a feeling that it is not to do with HAC as such but with the HOLD FIRE command, my squad drove through zargabad past multiple manned enemy armoured units at point blank range and was only fired upon when the Stryker halted to disembark troops while under fire from a BTR 70. Then again I can live with it - can just see the bewildered takistan tank commanders saying.."Did you just see that - That cocky damned american, hell we'll just see what he does...", the commander observes the stryker halt about 100 yards down the road, sparks lighting the air as it comes under fire from third squad, "Sigh..he says stubbing his cigar on the manifold, best finish the job..take aim..."

  5. Hi Ryd first of all let me congratulate you on an epic piece of scripting, it is so dynamic and adds extra flavour to the singleplayer game. I am trying to narrow down a problem though, on zargabad I have encountered problems with ai not recognising enemy units - specifically us army M2 strikers, also soldiers not engaging with smaw launchers and numerous situations incuding a striker ramming into the back of a takistan army shilka as if it were just a hinderance on the way to its ordered destination. Now I am not sure it is your scripts which are causing these anomolies, but it seems that all units have tunnel vision. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered similar problems. I am running arma 2 co with the latest beta, ace mod, asr ai and the map does involve about 300 opfor units and about 100 blufor units. I am still analysing this problem to see if has anything to do with mods I am running but have definately ruled out asr ai as a possible candidate.

    HQ Support in Editor

    Place a support unit ie repair truck, ambulance etc on the map with a support waypoint, that should solve the issue.
  7. Getting this error, have looked through all files, virtual store etc including compatibility files - Nada, running arma 2 CO with ace, and latest beta patch , puzzled..., getting it when i run a dedicated server hosting mission on same machine as im playing, havent had this problem before.

    ASR AI Skills

    The nicest thing I love about this mod is it does make firefights longer and more tactical, seeting two squads of usmc and two squads of russian infantry on seek and destroy waypoints(danger mode) from opposite ends of utes airfield I watched from the air control tower. The first thing i noticed is the very efficient usage of ammo, instead of previously ai spamming rounds at theyre opponents I noticed machine gunners using controlled bursts, snipers moving to flanking positions along with machine gunners setting up fire support positions. Awesome work robalo one of the finest ai mods out - not to mention the painstaking testing that must have gone into it.:cylon:
  9. There have been various instances of adrenaline kicking in when wounded, infact many soldiers have felt no pain with whole limbs blown off, maybe not appropriate in this thread but is there a way to simulate this ingame. Just an idea.

    User mission requests!

    Thought of an interesting idea for a campaign. Involves the player as a member of USMC task force. The background could be the collapse of the world markets leading to insurgencies and rebelions in all major countries of the world. Complete collapse of all societies structure in all countries. Bit like battlestar galactica on the earth but with current technologies, a bit like star trek voyager in the fact that repairs and resupplies are needed for the task force to survive as the roam the oceans looking for allies, fighting pirates, sending "away teams" to islands for diplomatic, resupply etc missions, all variables could be set up in an array to save weapon load outs, current fuel supply, new units. Would be a massive project but would be cool, could even use the waves island by gnat for naval battles, and all current islands in game. Maybe a non ending campaign which builds up a score which unlocks higher ranks or even command of the task force. Oh and there would have to be some really good "villians" who always seem to escape at the last minute but turn up just in time to cause the player a bit of chaos, maybe guba is alive after all?
  11. Absolutely awesome bushlurker, my jaw hit the ground when I was flying round it, simplicity in itself but even since the OFP days I would say its the best arctic map ever made.

    ACE for OA 1.11

    Cant seem to find an answer to this so ill apologise if it has been answered before. But how do I disable the blackout effects for pilots in planes, to me it is just a bit annoying thats all and I would prefer to play without. Again I apologise if it has already been answered.

  17. Can anyone alter triggers so they have the camera option like in the original flashpoint - personally I hate camera scripting and would love this as a quick easy way of making intros like I used to.

  19. Yes that is correct I have it structured as so and other addons work, just wondering if there is a conflicting addon - its probably something stupid - btw appreciate the help. Its almost like it isnt recognised..but no error reports - not even an empty vehicle to place - just dont understand..:confused::confused::confused: Also when i try to load a mission i have had a challenger 2 in it says addon has been deleted yet its defo in the folder...
  20. I have them all under @RKSL mod folder - I was previously able to run this addon no problem under that folder - i have tried re downloading the files including ukf shared and misc but still no joy.
  21. Yes a release would be nice but I am still not getting anywhere with my question .. Is there a reason why I am getting no UKF-Tracked entry under uk armed forces in the editor. I dont mean to sound impatient its just I have very limited pc time with job, kids family and would like to be able to use the addon I have. Please help.

  23. Sorry to dig this one up from the old tombs but it is one of my favourite addons ever. I havent been able to find it in the editor as there is no UKF Tracked entry. Could anyone help me please. I am using arma 2 CO with the latest official patch.

  25. Is there any documentatiion for parameters on the town construction module for OA? just wondering if you can adjust size of area covered to make bigger towns? - have tried placing a few near eachother which works to an extent but there are gaps, any help from BI would be appreciated.
