It's the river Clyde in Glasgow, showing the new bridge. I need to get my camera fixed... it didn't help that the aperture was only 4 - I totally forgot!
Also, here is a link to my new website. It's not quite finished yet.

-
All I could suggest would be the GIMP.

Haha, wow - I didn't realise you were around the fringe, the atmosphere is great isn't it? Lovely pictures, I think I have one of the red guy kicking about too!
-
Killagee, those Berlin shots are amazing - I wish I'd gone out at night for photos when I was there!
Sad news for me though. After buying a brand new lens, which cost me £300, my shutter mirror broke... I've been taking pics on manual focus but haven't really had the time to get out enough!

*Saves money for the 30D*
EDIT: Played around just now whilst bored:

Cool pics, the M3 one has a bit of a shallow dof, but looks good!
I finally bought the Canon 28-135 lens, its awesome! I'll post some pics later.
Heres some pics I've taken recently:
Yellow Flower (not sure what it is)
Oh, Aimpoint your shots are amazing! You should be working for the press, most of the shots in the BBC news don't come close to being as good as yours!

Cool pics man!
A sunset from my back garden.

Red phonebox in Edinburgh.

A panorama of Edinburgh castle.
I'm a bit frustrated just now, my pictures never seem to come out quite right and need a bit of post-processing... the thing is that every pic seems to get processed a little differently, theres no consistency - I need to find my way!

Cool!

I went to a friend's gig last night as their "photographer", I'm getting practice and they're getting pics! :P Not many were amazing (small venue) but I got a couple of shots I'm pleased with, this one in particular:

For a bigger version go here.
I like these ones too:

These ones:

Sniper, you are becoming very, very good!. Well caught and well composed shots of the airshow!
-
Dasquade, excellent shots - especially for a "nooby"! I think they look very professional.
Sniper,
Amazing shots! very good atmosphere and technically brilliant! Is no-one going comment on mine?
I thought they were ok. -
Sniper, that rose pic is amazing.
Is that Optimus Prime?
Yey, Transformers!A rose

My wee brother

Scottish thistle

I've taken loads of pics over the past few days, its good!

I absolutely love the Canon 50mm, at f2.8 its pin sharp, and even at 1.8 its pretty good. Its amazing for portraits.
-
Awesome! What camera did you get? I just bought a canon 50mm f1.8, and I plan on getting Supahs lens soon too!
-
[im]http://www.morganmalaska.se/dump/interpolrock.jpg[/im]Interpol.
Awesome! Really nice shots, they really capture the Interpol mood... if you know what I mean! Interpol are good, shame they don't come this way much.

I'm surprised you were allowed your SLR into the arena, I know for most large concerts here you aren't even allowed point & shoots and sometimes mobile phones with cameras!
-

Actually, I haven't really given any feedback... I really like the B & W photos, Sniper, you're pretty good at them - you capture a nice atmosphere.
Tovarish, those Hdr pics are great, especially the last. How do you do them without getting one slightly out of position? Tripod and hope nothing moves?
Cheers for the help on the lens Supah, I'm going to get it soon hopefully!

Rommel? Haha... cool pic, I recognised it from the org.
edit: please do not quote photos.

Thanks. I couldn't really get any closer and it was hard to get a good angle for close ups. Still, some of them are at 210mm!

Ok, here are some of the pictures from the Outsider festival, please comment!

Idlewild, I think this one is pretty good.
And again, I like this one too!
Yep, you guessed it - Idlewild
Haha, woah... thats a lot, but please have a look if you have time!
My favourite of the "concert" photos are the ones of KT Tunstall and Idlewild. You can see them all here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/soul_jacker/

Awesome
It sounds like a good lens and its within my price range so I may just go for it! I went to the Outsider festival at the weekend and took lotsa pictures, I'll upload them later!
-
I have that exact same lens. It's quite good at all the things you want but keep in mind that due to the crop factor on most dSLR's the 28mm lower boundary isnt that wide any more
All in all a fantastic allround lens but if you want a wide angle lens I'd go with something more towards 18 - 12 mm lower limit
Thanks!
Have you got any examples of photos you've taken with it? -
Cool pics, looks like fun! I am looking to get a new lens, preferably one that I can take portraits, landscapes and everyday shots with, but is also good in low light, what do people think of this lens:
I've also read that with extension tubes it can double up as a reasonable macro lens, something I'd appreciate.
It sounds good and has good reviews, does anyone know of an alternative? Or is it pretty good?!
-
Tovarish, that first picture is amazing! Is that with a lensbaby?

I haven't been here in a while, but I did fix my camera, check this .
Anyhoo, here are a few shots from me:
A swan in Edinburgh.
Salsa Celtica performing at Edinburghs new year celebrations.
My friends cat playing High-5!
Me being silly.
Mmm, beer.
Guess where I've been then?
I'll post some more Holiday photos later, I've got a few good ones I reckon.
