Hi, this may've moved on but i thought i'd give my opinion on these things: Abortion - this shouldn't be frowned upon, yes, people may think it's murder, but i'm pretty sure if these god squad people were living in shitty houses with no money and stuff, they'd want an abortion if they couldn't support it. Its a choice between two 'deaths' for the baby - Dying in his mothers womb (although wether its ''living'' in this state is debatable), or dying in poverty with drugs lying about the place with no food, clothing and parents who wanted to get rid of him/her, but couldn't because some religious humanitarians have to invade and control everyone elses lives for them simply because their false gods don't believe in abortion. Some people don't understand that babies can ruin peoples lives, they just say ''who cares if you have to support 15 kids by working in a sweatshop where you're raped and beaten everyday, you had... sex... without protection!! you're going straight to hell, this is your punishment before then''. Of course, they don't give a shit about the baby, they don't care they'll have to live in squaler, all they care about is the person having the baby. Maybe they can then ruin their lives furthur afterwards by nicking off with their babies because they can't be supported, and then they shove them in a nunery so they can be assimilated into their religion so they can exploit a few more people for money and needless worship. Death Penalty - It isn't really a punishment, i'd rather have serial killer types spend the rest of their lives in a shitty prison with a 9 foot tall homo called bubba. Thats punishment, simply killing them is the easy way out really, they won't reform, they'll happily go out and slaughter people, but why kill them? let them suffer the unpleasantness of a dark, horrible prison cell, the company of 20 hardcore inmqates who hate serial killers, and of course regular unofficial beatings from the guards.

Yeah i know that this isn't an opf question but i've asked this on loads of forums and want a varied answer and stuff, plus i'm sure people have this problem with a few games, and on here i'll get a quick response probably Well, i'm playing Baldurs gate 2 and i've got past the first bit and then once i'm outside the game starts restarting my computer randomly. i've tried reintsllaing and patching but it doesn't work - any ideas?

If the resistance had any sense they'd move about the place, then wouldn't keep their bases in one area, and since they are taking part in all kinds of undesirable acts all the time, its unlikely the russians could accuratly drop men about the place and hit the resistance max force because they'd be dispersed all around the island. Of course, the resistance prey on convoys and are successful in taking out supply routes, so how can the russians overcome this? use choppers to transport goods about the place, maybe most of them are on supply duty, or maybe they just don't have many choppers. Remember there are politics behind this, and like was said sometime NATO have observation cruisers all over the place, i'm sure if they saw Mi-17's and Hinds whizzing about the place nuking civilian areas it'd put the russians in a sticky situation - therefore, troops are the most subtle method of doing things without alerting NATO. With troops they'd need a lot of them, maybe they are indeed island hopping, but in any situation if you're gonna take over a country with hostility, you're gonna need to cover a lot of land - lots of troops and tanks. I mean, imagine if irl the Russians invaded a small country with 3 bmps and some colorful language, what chance would they have of holding that country? The large number of tanks could be there to intimidate the locals as well and squash any hopes of mounting a respectable resistance, and also they could be there to provide any resistance to invasion themselves, eg if Nogova had some powerful allies (eg NATO). I rarely cry watching movies, sometimes i came close but m,y unwillingness to look like Julien Clary usually stops me. I almost cried after platoon, it was a sad movie all the way through, seeing how the yanks treated the vietnamese villagers was pretty sad, and also seeing the guy who plays dr cox in scrubs at the end asking if he could go home and then having to stay was pretty sad. I didn't cry at spr at all, in fact, i found it pretty funny most of the time (the beach landing), although the bit where the medic dies is pretty bad. I didn't cry when Hanks died because i was thinking how incredibly cliched and typical it was. Usually once the Tiger blows up i stop watching it to avoid the yank flag waving section

Jennifer Lopez - ok ass, but thats it she's also a snobby cow Kylie Minogue - Nice ass, ugly face, ok everything else. Think shes nu-metal and in with the whole rock community for some reason. Fucking MTV. Madonna - i hate her so much. Her music sucks ass and she thinks she god and stuff, and whenever my girlfriend listens to her she gets all ''well women can do everything better than you, like driving...''. She is also ugly Britney is a babe however, depending on what she is wearing and when she isn't being an annoying teenybopper.

I'm very sure stuff gets put into real war situations for testing. I mean, we only know about the wars in Iraq and Isreal and Afghanistan, like we're always hearing theres wars and incidents the public would never ever see or hear about. Since americans will only fight poverty stricken cavemen nowadays, and the russians are having trouble with AWOL bits of their country, it would be the ideal situation in which to try out new stuff.  Of course, the policy of NATO to destroy anything and everything from the air before sending in the troops would mean there would be little chance for the new abrams to be tested against anything other than a nastily barbed wire machine gun ice cream van, but i'm sure the russians would test out new stuff on someone if given the chance. I might just be risking my left pinkie by saying this - but wasn't the F117 stealth thingy tested in the gulf? Lets not forget the V-80 is a prototype of the real life whirly death thing, if they put in a chopper that was a realistic representation of what the real KA-50 (or the much cooler looking KA-52) is like, then it would be the don, and imbalence the game greatly. The dual rotor thingy should be more stable but they may've knakcered up the prototype...

I completed resistance finally and it all went very smoothly, i decided to go through the campaign again and it all went very smoothly up until the mission ammo low. The mission itself went vert very smoothly and i'd had it finished. I took out that last small ruskie squad with my dragunov, sent my squad to the base while i legged it back to the ammo truck to replenish my ammo. But as soon as i reached the truck the game went all laggy and slow, unbearably laggy and slow, it took a good 8 seconds for victor to look at a different place. Well, like i said i'd been doing everything with no lag, slowdown or anything like that for a long time now. I tried rebooting and everything and reinstalling but it won't go away. I'm using the same graphics settingsa i have always done (fairly high everytwhere). Another thing - the words at some points are blurred and have little lines above them (like on the fade warning at the start and sometimes in game) I had reinstalled opf totally prior to starting a new game (to get rid of all the add-ons that were clogging up my opf), i installed opf and then opfr (no upgrades, didn't think i'd need them). I am also using a genuine copy of both opf and opfr. Like i said everything in the game ran perfectly with my current settings and system but then all of a sudden just naffed up. My system is: athlon 1.4, 512DDrRAM, 64mb Geforce 2 MX, with xp and all latest drivers (it also doesn't have an internet connection so theres no dodgy auto updating or viruses...) I also want to avoid re formatting because i have a champ manager save that i would very much love to keep (although if its neccessary i'll by a cd writer) any help greatly appreciated.

II first got opf way back on its release date, i got resistance on its release date etc... well, i've played it a lot and a lot and i would consider myself pretty good at it now. Thing is, i'm waaay too good to experiance the realism and various good points that take opf out of the generic shooter genre. I find myself rushing enemy positions, standing up and just shooting them all, then legging it, maybe with an injury but hey, i just killed 8 soldiers. I do still prone, but most of the time i'm running about shooting at stuff regardless of how many ruskies are hangin about and killing shedloads of them. This is not how opf is supposed to be played. I remember being a n00b and loving every minute of opf, even though i was only killing one guy each mission and i spent the entire mission crawling. My new playing style of rushing and killing in a very unrealistic way has turned this into generic shooter 3. In resistance i kill about 20 guys each mission, sometimes more of less depending on the mission. I still love operation flashpoint, but because of my skill the basic elements of the game i loved so much are gone, theres no tension, no fear, no feeling of insignificance, no feeling of difficulty, just rushing and mindless slaughter- elements that made games like moh, rtcw and sof2 pretty naff. Anyone else experiancing this?

Hi I have a dog and he eats a lot of different things, but i've been thinking - sometimes he has mcdonalds cheeseburgers, cheese rolls, rolls with butter on them and all kinds of these dairy products. Is it safe to feed this kind of stuff to them? i think i heard somewhere that they haven't adapted to eat dairy things yet. He sometimes also has pot noodles - with all the additives and kind of mass produced ingrediants will these damage him?

imho the best guitarists (and musicians in general) are of the death metal kind, it takes a special kind of man to play at that speed and volume for so long while still maintaining top quality music. Pat O'Brian and Jack Owen from Cannibal Corpse are two of my favorite guitarists.There are loads of amazing cannibal corpse songs where the guitar work is top notch, i couldn't really name an individual song. My favs are 1. Platoon 2. Stalingrad (we got it off amazon dvd for the guy who couldn't get it) 3. Starship Troopers 4. Saving Private Ryan I hate Full Metal Jacket, i dunno why people like it. The drill instructor is funny, but that doesn't make up for the fact that its a nam movie and theres hardly any decent action, and only like 10 people get killed. To much poncy hippy talk about how war is horrible as well, that only really exposes the lack of action and the huge amount of boredom. Apocalypse now i found boring as well, but i didn't really watch it, since i was more interested in jamming a pineapple into my nostril than to watch a group of yanks sailing down a river and then seeing the endless shite about how terrible war is and how drugs are great and how the american government is horrible..... Platoon is the don of all war movies, not only do i share the name Chris Taylor with the main guy, but it does the whole ''war is terrible'' thing MUCH more convincingly (by making you actually see to see how terrible it is not having some hippy just tell you about it in some ''hilarious'' or cliched way) while not getting rid of all the action. I finished watching platoon believeing that all those whining yanks actually had a reason to be whinging all the time. The best war film ever imho.

I play shogun, civilisation and championship manager (i've been addicted to cm for the past few years it is kind of a strategy game)

This happened to m2e i felt like crying well, i was playin g and when i got to the bridge mission i lost all my stuff for some reason, before commiting suicide i decided to try and get all my guns back, so i simply reverted to the mission before the bridge one, got all my weapons and completed it again, and hey presto i could use my beautiful dragunov in the bridge mission

I would be Dutch, for loads of reasons. Amsterdam is aq great city, although i was only 6 when i last went there, i see a lot of it on the telly and it seems like a lovely cultural place . I'm not a druggie though, so the cannibis wouldn't be very nice, but it'd be funny seeing loads of dopeheads wandering about the place (not that Germany/Britain is much different). Plus all the best footballers are dutch (eg Ruud van Nistelrooy ) and i would have a funny name such as Steve Jonk, or Jerry van der Ooovert. I also know a few dutch people and they are good friends. Holland is probably my second favorite european place except for Wales/England (Never been to Ireland and Scotland is naff).

I was gonna put this into the V-80 thread that denoir closed for some stupid, pointless reason, but i put it in here cos by the time i'd finished it i couldn't post it and i wanted to share it with everyone Am i the only one who thinks the V-80 is the don? On the blow up the gunships mission i nicked the V-80 and as soon as i was airborne i had 5, yes 5 shilkas all firing nasty little capsules of deth in my direction. Not only did i take out all of these shilkas, but i got hit several times and my armor was still in the green. After that, thanks to the big payload, i took out shedloads of other tanks (T-80's in a single kill) i just hovered there, turned round and fired at them half expecting them not to hit due to obstructions. I hit all of them, not one miss and i didn't even have visuals on them, i took them all out from one position. Then after that i ordered my men back to insertion zone and provided some close air support, taking out an enemy squad blocking their way very easily. By the time i landed the thing, i felt sad wooping out my rpg, i actually hesitated, wondering whether or not i should destroy a thing that has brought me so much joy and pleasure, and has given the ultimate power of life and death etc. I eventually did destroy it, but i was in no way wanting to. Needlesstosay, i love the V-80, although my love is based on one, fantastic experiance with it.

Yesterday i was playing resistance and exploring a bit, and i found this wierd stonehenge/cult kind of stone arrangement. I can't remember the referance though. It's in the north west of the map. there are two big joining mountains, its in between them btw - sorry if this has been spotted before, just thought i'd say
