  1. UPDATE:

    For some reason the MHQ marker stopped following the MHQ after Somoto. I didn't see any errors and really didn't notice it for a while, but the marker stayed between the boobs N of Somoto. When I respawned it put me there to.

  2. The Tomahawk bug/feature - depending on how you look at it ;) - is when you open the map>click Tomahawk a couple of times>then click location. It then rains hell at a count of the clicks you made. It also seems like the marker is one step behind each time you use the Tomahawk.

    When I said "Ranks are bypassed" in the prev. post I meant to say "Unlocked Ranks".

    Also the first time you open the "T" menu you get a box saying "Variable 'displayvendor' does not support serialization and should not be stored in the mission namespace."


  3. Cool. Testing a bit now, but I'll test more tonight. It looks like the M113 w/ 50cal and the Vulcan don't have the Rank bypass when...Ranks are bypassed. :D

    Also I did a water patrol mission, for some reason the boats showed up as green dots on the F35s HUD, Red on the map, and when killed it didn't count against so it was OK. ;) Maybe an ArmA fluke.

    So far other than the above it looks good. No Major errors. BTW The Tomahawk bug is THE BEST! Especially since 99% of people who try and join have ACE and no CAA1. It's NEEDED. :p

I remember vaguely playing the Comanche game that was in Voxel 3D YEEEEEEARS ago. ;) Switching from (if I remember correctly) Hellfires, Mavericks, Main Gun, and I think some kind of missle pod similar to the Hydras in ArmA2. I could be mixed up in that. But one thing I'll never forget is calling fire missions with the map. "Fire mission over"............................"Fire mission out".....................*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*. That was very memorable. Hats off to all involved, hopefully I'll get to recreate that when it's all done. ;)


  5. Hey i just had a thought, howabout adding a tent item, so you can put it your backpack, and deploy it like a sandbag, and you can gear in it. So you can walk to a location, whap out your tent, throw your pack and other useless stuff in there and then go on a mish. Obviously it would be quite weighty to carry in your pack like and the game has east and west tent models.

  6. The server is " Southern California Server". It's not up 24/7 though. But I'm going to play it now.

    So far I've seen ACE related errors, nothing you can do about it until they fix it, where it doesn't say the initiating script just the error caused by the ACE script. Like XHE_Init-something-.sqf at the start of the mission, no line reference. Starting the server up now...

    So what if my router blocks the outgoing ports the BE Server tries to use? A friend told me I have a Nazi network setup, but everything I have works good for the most part. The only network problem I have is the ping reporting on GameSpy, that's it. But that's another story. So what you're saying is if I set the dedicated servers outgoing open all is good?

    I start it with ./arma2server start or sudo ./arma2server start

    Works almost perfect except for the ping on Internet list shows 2500 but when I join its correct 1-5 ping. Pinging my routers WAN ip gives me 50-60 ping which is what it's supposed to be, but that's not Linux's fault. The same comp has XP -dual boot- and gives the exact same result. The Linux server does seem less laggy and also shows +3 average FPS compared to when it's run on XP. EDIT: When I say +3 FPS I'm looking at it with the #monitor command.

    I wanted to make an external GUI for the arma2server file but I ended up replacing it all together. So I called it "arma2serverGUI" because now it has one (Graphical User Interface). ;) . I want to get permission from a BIS Dev to release it just in-case, and gauge interest since if it's not needed then I'll keep it to myself. I hope to finish it -totally- soon.
