No more than 3yrs is my guess. Either AMD or Intel will comeup with processor that's twice better by then, and games like OFP2 will require 1Ghx or higher processor to do its awesome stuff. I assembled mine for about US$400 last March, and doubled RAM and added GeForce just for OFP. Never had in my mind thought that I would upgrade for a game.(AMD Duron 750, 256MB RAM, GF2). but it's worth every penny. This will probably be obsolete in a year or so as a good game player. yours will be ok...but any PC pver 3yrs is old for good latest game playing.

If you have patience like me(or lack of brain), try my way, which takes nearly 2 hrs and raise countless alarms. Get M21, 2 LAW, 1 Satchel charges, 2 extra M21 mags Snipe whoever you can from around your initial position(while hiding). Tanks(BMP?) will come looking for you screw commies after awhile. use LAW or Satchel to eliminate it. Then, move into the gas station, and hide behind it. Becareful. There is a T80 and 2men guard patroling around. you gotta avoid both. Hide into the trees right south of the road. kill 2 guards. watch out for T80's patroll, and move west, from trees to trees. When you get to the point where there's a small rock on top of a hill, goto the trees near them and hide. Soon, enemy patrol of 8 will be around. Kill Officer, and RPG soldier, and rest if you can. Wait for some time. Then crews will show up. kill them too. Now, grab RPG, and move to trees west of your spot You'll see a BMP patrolling. RPG it when it rests on top of the hill, or when whenever you can. now, goto trees near Guba's house. you'll see loads or commie patrolling. Go prone, and goto a tree and hide under it. The one I hid myself had view of the house(SE portion of it) btw 2 tents, a bush on the left side, and an open space on the right. Have fun sniping. After some sniping, when you see less movements for awhile, while, prone, carefully strafe around to SW side, occasionally shooting guard that were out of your view before. There should be a 4man patrol that you didn't see. yes, kill them too. then crawl to the entrance, and as soon as it;s done, crawl back to bushes, and then to trees. By now, there are less enemies to guard your path to Guba's house. But keep your senses sharp, and run back to your place, while keeping in mind of that T80 patrolling near the gate.

Since OFP engine does not allow under-water scenery, if that becomes possible in OFP2, then we could have scuba gears and mini-subs. I'm totally for bridges and scuba gears, but as people pointed out, anyone with naval firepower will win the game so easily, and it would screw up the game for the rest. My suggestion is that the carrier have some sort of limited power of defense such as TOWs and canons like M2 or Vulcan, but limit it so that even getting close to shore would not give them tremendous advantage over other ground/air units.

There's a section in OFPEditing center about this. This is how I add building. It's quite painful to type extra lines, but it's worth it. When you goto tutorial(or scripts...i forgot which), it's near bottom of the page, under some name like "How to add buildings"

Here's a great site to learn by yourself OFP Editing Center That's where I first got my tutorial by Gustavson. Make sure you are ok with using scripts too. Also, look for Axle Online(I think that's the name)

No, we are not asking for gas mask to prevent us from gas attacks, but the utility that you guys would release in February. It just came through my mind that recent slowdown of this forum could be attributed by uploading of OXYGEN(if I remember the name correcty). Feburuary is around the corner, and I'd love to see those utilitites.(mmmmmm.......Bunkers....aaahhhhhh)

Also, if so, how is the service time alloted? i.e. 1)serve for certain number of years, and then become a reserve, 2)just enlist as reserve soon after basic training

HHmmm...from looks of it, add-ons....but on the other hand, partial overhaul of OFP engine might be needed to run numerous choppers and a ship to land it upon... would require big amount of computation, so efficient codes would be implemented....so more efficient OFP engine? It would be great if we can move around and in the ship, also, rather than getting grilled on 100degree(fahrenhight) deck...

Yeah...clean up desktop, place only the necessary icons on, and erase useless programs, defrag. Also, how about getting GForce 3?

well...first, why don't u backup all the important data? Second, you gotta have Win CD ready if you are going to go for HD format. But, how about cleaning your HD? I only use 10out of 20 gigs, and my PC runs ok.(my specs are same as yours, but CPU for me is 750mhz, and I use 100hz RAM) most of the reason why resources get used up is having too much stuff on Desktop. If you have it more than 20, try cleaning it up. HardDrive should have at least 10-20% left for various uses. I have 50% so that might help. If you haven't played other games in last 2 months, get rid of it. You are not going to play it as much as you did b4. after you get 40-50% of HD cleaned up, used defrag to defrag your HD. It will take a shit load of time(consider a day for this). but afterwards, it'll be fine...

Urge to ask for the LHD rising..... Must get LHD for OFP2..... mmmmm.....LHD.........
