R. Gerschwarzenge said it all, but here's quick answer: 1-Wheres this INIT ppl(tutorials)keeps talkin bout? A: It's the field that is located when you create a unit in editor. If you don't see them, click on Easy on top right, it'll change to 'Advanced'(which is advanced mode) 2-How to respawn/dont respawn? A:it's related to description.txt or something like that goto OFEditing center.com to learn about it. 3-How to define the MP map into ctf,dm etc? A:It's the content of the game. CTF(Capture the flag) is when you have 2 sides trying to capture each other's flag and bring it to their base for score. DM(Death Match) is literally shooting each other, killing everyone. A Team version of this is called Team Death Match. Co-op is type of game where you have a set of objectives to complete against AIs. i.e. CO-OPERATE with your teammates. 4-How to create the briefin, notes and map infos(those crooshairs with somethin written on em) A: you have to learn it from OFPediting center.... good luck!!

Ok,, Valentines day is here, so should we give a dozen flowers to OFP's only female character(yes..that's a she-man to be more precise...) Angelina? if not what should we give her?

You hate OFP's implementation of DirectPlay in MP?

Korea is the same way.. <snip> its a wonder the US ever wins anything.. almost all the US folks that compete are just regular people.. they dont have their goverment paying for them , giving them a house, taking for every facet of their life so all they have to do is train.. hell they have kids, go to school, work.. love a normal life for the most part..<span id='postcolor'> correction....N Korea, not S. Korea...S. Korea doesn't do to that extent. The reason why sports is used as a tool to create nationalism(or whatever) is because people love them. And if you could solidify your citizens through using it, wouldn't you? The reason why most US atheletes don't have to worry about financial matters is because once they are on certain level, they get support through market system, unlike some communist countries where market sys does not exist to the point where it can support an athelete through marketing. Also, their training infrastructure is not well-enough to have a great start like US, so gov't support is used.

have patience, or you'll get your head decapitated by a T80, or become a behive made by 4 enemies.(my usual experience on OFP) BIS is doing their best to do VBS,OFP, and who knows what...these guys are understaff-ed....and OFP is a BIG LOAD of codes... Almost as soon as 1.42 came out, SUMA asked us to submit bugs to repair. Just what kind of company does that as soon as they are finished with their product upgrade?

How about a good bed-workout? V-day is coming, and your gf would appreciate it

Maybe it's me getting drunk again, but I wish BIS would have some sort of loop command for scripts. Like for-loops or while-loops from C++ would make my editing much easier

this is from Readers Digest, many yrs ago... After Gulf War, returning US soldiers were eager to grab there bags from cargo and just goto their barracks after long flight. As soon as bags were unloaded, someone yelled, 'Anybody seen a green dufflebag?' if u don't get the joke, here's explanantion. all US duffle bags are green.
-
eh....look at it this way..... no one will comment about your body shaped like a sumo-wrestler when you get shot and killed, or u shoot and kill them.... why not re-installing OFP? Unofficial add-ons might cause reconfiguration in some files, and just deleting unoff-addons won't help if that's the case..
-
Actually, I think there's Aimbot for OFP.... If I remember the name correctly...it's called...YOUR BRAIN AND RESPOSE SYSTEM!!!! coupled with practice after practice..... none of which I have/did
-
Thanx Snake...But I know that much! I just wished that OFP Scriptiing with for-loop would be easier for some people... like for (_x=0; _x<=_numOfSoldiers; _x++) { //do whatever you want to do } would be easier for me......I ran into this loop nagging while I was making a loop that ends if certain conditions are met, but the script doesn't. Thanx for your feedback!

One word: Idiocy This reviewer obviously does not understand that OFP is NOT Quake-wannabe-FPS but an infantry sim. The problem with these guys is that they play for 5 hrs and write whatever they could think of. Unfortunately, OFP is not a game where you train for 1hr and blow things up 4hrs. Doesn't matter if you are a seasoned veteran; your probability of success is independent of your previous records. You could get run over, have a helo drop from sky onto you, the situation is never identical. This reviewer at least acknowledges that. He said, "there are limitless ways to end missions"(or something like that) He probably got scared by how good OFP is, and decided to be defensive.

LOL!!!!! -
For me, it's being able to submerge yourself within the game, and for a moment you hypnotize yourself into it so that for even a short while, you are not playing, but you are LIVING the mission. Then when you finish successfully, you realize that you crossed the boundary of fantasy and reality, yet you thirst for more such experience.

I heard that there's this book called encyclopedia of mathematical symbols, and at the very end, they have proof of why 1+1=2 in mathemtical symbols, with no commom words. It takes about whole page, i heard.

Well, that's why math seems to be so darn hard. Most of the stuffs people learn are thaught b4 college, and unless you are a math major in college, you don't get to learn why those things are true. let me scratch it from back of my head. ok.1/3+1/3+1/3 is 1. no question about it..if some one says differently, he's insane. One of the most useful things that mathematics uses is called 'convergence'. what this means is that when you have a sequence of numbers, then as the sequence grows to infinity, it will eventually converge(go close to) certain values within reasonable error that error will be reduced to 0 as the sequence grows to infinity. Ofcourse, it's not for every sequence, but 1/3 problem is one that is solvable with convergence. ok..we know that 1/3=0.33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 and it goes on and on, and 3 at the end will be present all the way to infinity. well, here's the trick. 0.3 is 0+3/10 0.33 is 0+3/10+3/100 0.33 is 0+3/10+3/100+3/1000 and it goes on and on with terms that follow as 3/(10^infinity) now, let's see this way. I'm claming that 0.9999999....(sum of three 0.33......s)is 1. well, let's see. 1-0.9 is 0.1 1-0.99 is 0.01 1-0.999 is 0.001 as you see, the difference between 1 and 0.999 gets to be smaller and smaller((3+3+3/10^infinity)). and as sequence of number (here. it's 0.999999....) grows, the difference will be so negligibel that in fact, it will be 1. that's why they say that. it's unfortunate that moving from rational numbers to real numbers, it gets screwed.. cuz rational number(1/3) is clean cut, but expression in decimal format will turn it into irrational number, the one with all the remaining 3s at the tail. hope this helps
