goto mission editor, place an empty LST, name it s1 place yourself as a player, and in the INIT field, type this in. this setPos[getPos s1 select 0, (getPos s1 select 1), 15] you'll end up in LST's cargo part. if you wanna move in that compartment, you have to crawl. I got this from someone else.

kinda thought about it too... but was too simple to be in mission editing, so though this was closer to simple mundane stuff.

to be honest, present day scenario, without any realism would be great. The reason why this game seemed ok was that it talked about 1985, 16 yrs ago, and a imaginary scenario. If we place too realistic current conflict, it might offend someone. War is not nice(yes, we all know who said it). For us, it's just a game, but for people who went through such trauma, reliving the experience would be difficult, let alone someone else make a game of it. When you see blood splatter after someone snipes your teammate, although it's just a game, this could translate differently to person who sees it, the one who had to tremble in fear as sounds of bullets firing and hissing was heard inches from him/her, knowing that death could be around the corner. Think of this reason. After Vietnam, nobody in US gov;t talked thoroughly about it. not on the cause of their loss, who is to blame, etc. It was so traumatic that many vets felt anger towards the gov't, and that translated into Rocky(movie, only the first one). The only reason that we now have ability to talk about Nam is that it's been 20+yrs since it ended. Now, the trauma is swept off, and we are able to, piece by piece, talk about it. But current conflict is not something that will easily wear out. can you see that I'm drunk again?

This includes people with rifles and tank commanders. well in case someone does find a live round or empty case they made a honesty box so people could drop it off and nobody would know. One day a shell from a challenger was found crammed into this little box along with the usual rounds. How the hell can somebody not spot a shell that is, what? 2 feet tall? I think he's same actor who played as fake 'Methos' who get slashed by some immortal who was American Confederacy Officer. <span id='postcolor'> Ron Pearlman as I remember. Don't know about Highlander but he's been in 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Name of the Rose', 'Alien Resurrection' and 'City of Lost Children' to name a few.<span id='postcolor'> Thanx JCFlett!!!! Hmmm that explains a couple of fun things. The director of 'Enemy at the Gates' is Jean-Jacues Annaud, who also made 'The name of the rose'! Probably Annaud said, 'Hey, Ron, wanna lend me a hand here?' and that's why he was in there. Also, Ed Harris, who played Koenig, was on 'Apollo 13', directed by Ron Howard(is this correct?). Ron Howard recently made movie 'A Beatiful Mind', where Ed Harris plays(AFAIK) a bureaucratic guy from NSA. Seems like there's some sort of player image prefernce going on. And one more thing. Annaud seems to put love scene in the middle of the movie, and whoever gets it on seems to be the naive character who, after sex, gets to point of emotional conflict.

not the death animation...really slow(sometimes) and over reacting....

Thanx Redstorm! Although Ralph wearing an army helmet couldda been better....

Ex-Ronin: Probably Structure and Classes will be the hardest part of C++ experience. For me rest after that was easy. So work hard, and you'll get the rest of basic concepts easy after this uphill.

Actually, Sacha was hung so that his mother could see him.. That's what the director of the movie, Jean-Jaques Annaud said. As far as I see, the German sniper also used Sacha to implicitly request a duel to Vassili. And when he realized that his last chance was around, he saw no use for Sacha and told him to stay out of the spy business. Why? if you saw end of the movie, Koenig requests to stay one more day to battle Vassili, and when the German commander worries about their morale plummeting in case Koenig looses, requests that Koenig turn his ID in. At that scene, he also gives an Iron Cross medal to the German commander. Koenig says it was awarded to his son, who was KIA on first day of attack on Stalingrad. So Koenig wanted to revenge his son's death, but also at same time, saw image of a devoted boy for his cause, like his dead son, in Sacha. So Koenig actually wanted to spare Sacha's life as long as it fit his cause. That's why upon asking Sacha why he is giving infos about Vassili to him, Koenig says, 'Becuase you like chocolates I give you'.(to divulge infos about Vassili). I mean, what kind of nuthead wouldn't think the boy is a spy when the boy says 'I saw Vassili's rifle up close and I touched it.'? Annaud also mentioned that becuase lack of records(or absence of) about Konig, he had to rely on Russina dociers and Vassili's own memoir. But Vassili said,in his memoir, the actual name of the sniper was Thorvald, which was also a common name in Germany at that time. So it is questionable if anyone like him existed. Also someone here(L24A?) said that there were no sniper schools in Germany back then. i.e. there can't be anyone helping Vassili, claiming to be student of Koenig's sniper school. So the movie was about how a system could elevate a person's situation and reflect the massive killing into duel of 2 individuals. Anyway, anybody know who that guy Vassili was teamed up with in the movie? The one supposedly there to help Vassili kill Koenig? the one with metal teeth..... Povovich or something like that....I think I saw that guy from TV series called Highlander: the Series from a few years back. I think he's same actor who played as fake 'Methos' who get slashed by some immortal who was American Confederacy Officer. Also, the love scene Shit,,,i wish I can screw Rachael Weiss like that....

Also, France won last world cup, but that says nothing. It was a home game. Brazil still has the energy. Although it seems like their recent performance was less fulfilling, they still have the best players and technics.(personla opinion)

OK..here's the reason why it's called footbal when it should be called a rugby. Americans (Harvard ppl, as far as I know) though rugby was too brutal:D, so they implemented some safety gears, and changed some rules and decide to call it other than 'rugby'. The american football is made of pigskin, but now they se synthetic ones. it's shaped like an almond, if you haven't seen one. Done. ok..another topic. The World Cup is coming soon. I have no idea when it is, but I know it's gonna be held by Korea and Japan. opening will be held in KR, finals in JP. the games will be split between 2 countries. AFAIK UK will be at JP most of the time. And if you know any hooligan going to either country, please advise them to keep it down, or they will get some dose of karate or taekwondo. Police their won't be nice...both countries have oppressive and aggressive riot control, and don't expect rude behaviours to be granted like UK. They will burst your head open if you go to far.

when you hear 'football' from an american or it's source, guess american football. else, assume real FOOTBALL....works for me
