I'll chime in about ARMA/OFP update thing from E3 2005. BIS came up with OFP update named "OFP:Reloaded" or something like that. It was supposed to be what placebo already mentioned - simple upgrade. That was the plan as of May 2005(E3), and was supposed to be out Q4 2005. However, BIS decided to add some things from game 2 into ARMA. This is what we love about BIS. They never cease to add more into their products. Of course this would cause problem since it delays release. It is my understanding that their is richochet in ARMA. That was in Game 2 in 2005. In fact, the soldier model that I saw from E3 2005 is what I see in ARMA. So despite short time frame, BIS managed to cram a lot of things in this "OFP upgrade" With this, I'd like to ask to get back to the original topic.

The Whitehouse was thinking of replacing Rumsfeld anyways, but doing it before the election would contradict what they said about 'stying the course' and would be admitting that things are not oing well. Since it was Dems asking for Rumsfeld's resignation it would be seen as victory for Dems, and the GOP just couldn't stand that. So they waited until it became clear that voters are not happy with current administration then they could drop him for sure. Just a few weeks ago, the Whitehouse said that Rumsfeld would stay until January of 2009 IIRC.

It just goes to show that GOP was so desperate that they were relying on whatever they can muster, including ignoring reading ability. Now that election results are in, it seems like Dems will take over House, and very close to taking over Senate. Senate is still up in the air, so I don't think we'll have definitive answer right now, but the results would show that whatever current administration was doing is finally catching up. This just goes on to show that no matter how holier GOP thinks they are they are same as Dems, if not worse. They think it's politicizing when a congressman sends inappropriate message to a page, and they cannot be judged for corruption, and get away with racial tensions. Karl Rove, before election, said something to the effect of, "There is math, and there is THE math. I beleive we will win." I wonder what he is going to say now. I've been reading some gun forums and they are crying and worrying that they will lose their guns. On top of that, Rumsfeld's resignation came right after election. I guess the Whitehouse was more interested in keeping politics alive than admitting that they were wrong and find realistic solution ASAP.
