The forums were a much happier and lively place when they were new now its more quiet but u get more serious discussions on current affairs.
The start of OFP in MP was a load of shit though. There was a ton of little asswipes and general shitbags on gamespy.
Theres hardly any left that i`ve ran into but u still find them from time to time.

I wonder how much the sa80 costs.I`ve heard of it being about 600 quid which is still higher than the m16 at $586.
[edit] wtf, stupid fuckin forum screws up the pound sign
Quote[/b] ]about £600 which

Big deal, they`re just using scrap metal.
i`m not bothered about it unless they make up stupid storys like "WTC SHIP OF ARAB DEATH !!"

i found some funny store which has a weird sa80 and a the gansters tommy gun but their only springers
Theres the gas uzi which is a bit expensive for i have seen t hhem at £99 before.

You guys pay seriously too much for what you get. I can get that Micro UZI with 2 cans of gas and 2 extra mags for 150 american. The beta spetznaz is the same same number as one in america would cost, yet we are in dollars and you are in pounds which is almost double of us. Do airsofters in England realize they are being ripped off? Â

doh somethins screwed up my post
i meant to say that i`ve seen the micro uzi at 99 pounds before they`re usually at 130 though and yeah most things overhere are more expensive
$17 sounds quite cheap for a spring gun but it may turn out crap although its beter than spending 30 quid on it then a few months later it breaking Â

I noticed this on the site

Are airsoft in the same catagory as airguns over there or is it just a stupid website and why can`t they ship them to those states?

They leave the balls on the street for anyone to find, and any kick or throw will make them explode. So far, a man's lost a foot, a dog, its head.man i know of stupid disrepectful things like random vandilismm and theft but that just takes the biscuit

If they want to d o stupid stuff like that they should take it too the woods or somewhere else where the only one they`ll blow up is theirself.

Until Stephen King wrote about high school losers killing their peer groups, school shootings were unknown. But did Carrie and Rage make it inevitable?I kinde disagree with this as that incident seemed more like revenge even if they did shoot other innocents.

Overview: Jackass copycat sets himself aflame.
Specifics: Imitating what he had seen on MTV’s Jackass, Thomas Hitz, 12, of Lake Mary, Fla., doused his hand in bug spray and lit it. Seconds later his shirt burst into flames. Hitz then dove into a nearby swimming pool to extinguish the fire. He was treated for second- and third-degree burns. His friends, ages 8 to 13, were doubled over with laughter, just like Jackass star Johnny Knoxville’s onscreen sidekicks. “I don’t blame myself, I kind of blame the show,†says Hitz. “We did it because we saw [it] on Jackass and we were copying the show. In real life kids don’t think. They think they’re invincible, so they don’t worry about what will happen.†He goes on to say that he and his pals were trying to follow Knoxville’s career path. And even though MTV doesn’t solicit videotaped material for Jackass, Hitz hoped to win fame and money by sending in his own tape. He had already taped himself and his friends doing back flips off of a roof and jumping on pogo sticks in traffic.

Thompson says it's time to send a message to the video game makers.TAKE2 weren`t the makers though that would be rockstar,it would be like someone suing codemasters instead of b is if they had said they were copying OFP.
Well i guess pulishers have bigger pockets

Can't remember the terminology but I'd love to see an advanced bullet damage system, whereby you shoot a house and chunks of brick and dust come off, you keep shooting and more masonry comes off, eventually the building is damaged in such a way part of a wall falls down or whatever
The geomod stuff, where u could punch holes in t he groundd and some walls, from red faction would be good if applied to buildsings so would the body damae system from SOF2.
I just want an atomic bomb,a porper working shotgun and a flamethrower

Infact i reckon a law should be passed so that ppl of tragedies shouldn`t be allowed to do stuff like this after a set period of time and counselling because after such a tragedy they`re not going to be as logical and unbiased as normal folk.

Emergency services prepare for 'chemical attack' on Tube
Hundreds of police and emergency services personnel are set to respond to a simulated terrorist strike on London.

The exercise will involve a make-believe chemical attack on a Tube train at Bank station in central London.
Scores of "casualties" will be decontaminated in the streets of the Square Mile, the capital's financial district.
The scenario - designed to be as realistic as possible - closely parallels 1995's sarin gas attack on the Tokyo underground by the Aum Shrinrikyo religious cult, which killed 12 people and debilitated thousands more.
It will be the first time such a large-scale exercise has taken place in the city post-September 11 and the first time the Government's new mass decontamination units will be seen in public.
Minister for London Nick Raynsford said: "London has faced many challenges and threats in the 2,000 years of its history, not least in the last 30 years. We have had to be prepared for all new threats that emerge."
The power failure which crippled London's rush-hour traffic 10 days ago showed "there are always new lessons to be learned", he added.
Officials have stressed that today's exercise was not in response to a specific threat and that no real chemical agents would be released on the Waterloo and City line train.
The simulation involves passengers on a train from Waterloo station to Bank station being overcome by an unknown chemical. The Tube driver will report the incident to the London Underground control room and the train will stop in the tunnel just before the platform at Bank, where the line is 120 metres below ground.
The emergency services will then be required to reach the "casualties", evacuate them to street level and decontaminate them in special shower tents. The incident will involve about 500 police, fire, ambulance and London Underground personnel, and a cordon will be thrown around a number of streets.

Quote[/b] ] Ananova:Ex-Blair minister accuses US of allowing Sept 11 attacks
Former Government minister Michael Meacher has claimed that the war on terrorism is a "political smokescreen" allowing the US to dominate the world and its oil supplies.

Writing in The Guardian, Mr Meacher, who was environment minister for six years until June, argued that the US knew in advance of the September 11 attacks but did not act for strategic reasons.
It has since made "no serious attempt" to catch Osama bin Laden, he added.
His comments provoked a strong reaction from the US embassy in London, with the paper quoting a spokesman saying: "Mr Meacher's fantastic allegations - especially his assertion that the US government knowingly stood by while terrorists killed some 3,000 innocents in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia - would be monstrous, and monstrously offensive, if they came from someone serious or credible."
Mr Meacher, MP for Oldham, claimed that "the truth may well be a great deal murkier" than the conventional explanation that, after the September 11 attacks, the US launched a global war on terrorism, striking first at al Qaida bases in Afghanistan and then, because Saddam Hussein was alleged to have weapons of mass destruction, going to war with Iraq.
He cited a document called Rebuilding America's Defences, written in September 2000 by neo-conservative think tank Project for the New American Century, which was set up by a group including Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Lewis Libby (Mr Cheney's chief of staff).
The PNAC plan "is a blueprint for US world domination" which "provides a much better explanation of what happened before, during and after 9/11 than the global war on terrorism thesis", he wrote.
"From this it seems that the so-called 'war on terrorism' is being used largely as bogus cover for achieving wider US strategic geopolitical objectives."
He said the PNAC document stated that making the US "tomorrow's dominant force" would be a long process without "some catalysing event - like a new Pearl Harbour".

It is also possible that they pulled the GTA3 excuse out their ass when the cops showed up and the news has just spun it out because it makes a nice story

was it shotguns or was it a .22 rifle they were using or was it boh.In the earlier reports it said it was .22 but on the lawsuit site and the truelies funny site it says it was a shotgun

There was a time before placebo although maybe panman would of taken over if he was left to his own devices
There was quite a bit of spam so its a bit of a double edged sword.
I think it would be best if bis had a debate/current affairs forum and a true offtopic made becaue if not theres gonna be a lot of locked threads when OFP2 comes out
Anyway i was over at the other OFP forum that codemasters had setup,i think they changed a few times since then and lost all the original account info
,then i came over here, otherwise i would of had an account here at the start
Some of the things thing about the demo i remember were being carted off to the battlefield ,although those OFP trucks don`t convey the hideous bumpy feeling of sitting in a real one
, also the time where i hid under a ural and shot up all the enemy until a tank blew me up
