    Mando Missile ArmA

    Just downloaded your latest pack - playing around with it. I guess youi save performance, but effect is far not so goood in flight. start looks far more detailed. Looks great from ground still, but not as good from a plane that is targeted. I noticed that rocket models dissapears after several seconds of flight. Looks like it's same for all even standart missiles (fired from standart vehicles). What's this ?

    there were helicopter's ai control scripts _long_ ago. They were just what you want. just find it and modify to arma it won't be that hard

    Helicopter's flight parameters sorry, copied another link first Maybe you can try to edit model to get better flight model ? though it's just a chance, search for suma answers - air simulation is completely different  in Arma.

    it will result in a lot of flaming primary of requests that are either impossible or difficult to implement. 'Crowd' is never right even though there're wise people in there. BIs are earning money They sold almost the same games three times (1.0 - CO - QG) and know working on Arma2 that is basicly addon too. Commercially they are geniuses mainly i say it's close to impossible to create quality product without steady reliable team, that are highly motivated with thier revenue  I agree there're lots of people that can and will work for free, but it's silly idea to rely on them. Unless you got a plan how to replace them if smth goes wrong.

    _most_ of on-line based rpg games are free nowadays. instead player pays for server connection, perks etc. And on-line ads are in games for quite a long time contact them. Nobody else will tell you if it's possible at all. But if you want to create one more ofp clone on this engine... i guess you'll fail. freelancers are common pratice in game industry, but core team always setas in one office, working together. You may also find a lot of game development sites on te web where you'll get better answers yeh, it's interesting to know how good QG was sold for ex. )

    let's discuss the idea first Arma engine is far not the best available, in fact it's outdated nowadays. Maybe still fits perfectly for military training but for a game there're better solutions. If you want to create a full scale game similiar to ofp - you'll fail anyway. If you want a mod - i recommend you to look at Crytek Engine. Yeh, i know Crysis is fictius FPS, but engine itself is capable of anything. with lots more features and documatation available.

    Thank you do your reply but I found a way already something like: Create GameLogic named target1 then in a trigger activation field: Smoke1 = "SmokeShell" getpos target1 something along those lines..... quite easy once I found an example....
  10. Ok, so I read similar posts about using a addon. I dont want to do that... I want to know how to create a smoke grenade effect when West enters a trigger area... basically.... is there a way I can put a smoke grenade down on the ground and activate it with fire... or is there another way maybe through script....

    I see you point about compability with possible future addons. but still it's not 100% clear I can bet i saw  ported Nimitz on youtube with standart Harriers taking off... And what was ofp solution to make planes land at the carrier ?

    a10 is not the best example - polycount is a bit wierd ) just hitting sort faces once i got it down to 9 sections... it's beta - with mlods we can look inside and maybe help to solve smth out

    it's arma config bug. AA system got low maxLeadSpeed value and thus do not attack fast air targets. And i can't make ai f-16 unit attack air targets with AA missile. maybe for the same reason I'm using Arma Effects mod. When i fire GAU gun i have huge wierd smoke trail. i wonder if you can inherit from different class or smth... Acceleration seems to be a bit slow, but how can it be fixed ? More mass like for choppers ? or acceleration in cfgVEhicles works ?
