  2. I am not sure this is the same move they are talking about. I am able to do what looks like two long side steps to one side. I sprint (w,w) then hit the side step (a or d). I would seem if I hit the a or d to fast or to slow after I let go of sprint, it will not do the move. I have not been able to do the move on the slower run.
  3. Nothing wrong with the name Operation Flashpoint. It was one of the best games made. Whats bad is this so call game that ripped off the name :p Let give thoes people over there a new name.... CM Co#% Munchers ACM module is very inactive for me even with that line [1, BIS_ACM] call BIS_ACM_setIntensityFunc; Or did I set something wrong?
  4. Looking for a active squad, but its a bit much when they want you to dl so many mods. I dont want to dl a bunch of stuff just to go in and find out I dont like the squad. I would think the best thing for squads that are looking for new people is to have a stock server up to recruit. Been here from day one with the ofp demo. I am in to alot of team work, but not into the calling each other sir. If I wanted that I would have stayed in the USAF.
  5. Rogue Spear was one of the last real FPS PC games. I came from that to OFP back in 2001. All the game stores have all but killed the pc sections. :mad:

    Walker just do the test I told you about in my post. All This extra stuff you see in the videos is not needed. Its so flat out plain to see that they can see you behind two bushes and in the grass. No myth about it, just plain fact that they can see you. Do my test the way I have it set up and then come back here with a video of it. If I can figure out now how to make a fraps video smaller I will make my own to show you.

    Yep, and nothing happens to the guy that runs or walks into it. I dont mind this so much. It would be nice if it killed the person that runs into it though. What I do mind is that when you hover next to the ground you can flip over easy, if there is a person next to your chpper. Its almost like the chopper has no weight at all to it.
  9. Really need a classic map pack now thats worth some cash to me. All the old maps in one pack OFP/Arma. btw any way to disable radar with thoes commands.

    Yeah it takes more hits, check the side and front hits (6). Also when you hit it from rear it may only take two hits but their is more of a delay after the second hit. I guess its the type of round (Heat) in the T-55, and AP in the T-34.

    Map: Chernarus Grid: 049,128 bottom left side, you will find a orange and green bush right next to each other. This will be north of the dirt trail that runs west to east. I use super ai (never play without it) and max skill on all troops. Use two BLUFOR Rifleman. I set two down so I can zoom way out to watch the ai move and to help me see what they see. I put the rifleman in my group in another town so he is not near me. Use OPFOR rifleman max skill around grid 047,127 on the west side of the hangers to block their view and give me time to tuck in next to the bush. They are on normal waypoints to go past me. make sure the waypoints are not near you and are on the south side of that dirt trail. The last way point is way east of me I make sure I do not move at all and just to the command view to move my view around. And yes my guy is flat on the ground and no way that the ai had time to see me do it. I also have no mods at all in. Other fun stuff to do: Set same type of ai down put one opfor 10m in front of you looking the other way and see if you can even tap a move button. This is one reason why we cant use knives in arma.

    NeMeSiS, the best way to see how the ai tracks you when you move and go behind cover is to put the ai in charge of you and watch the target marker move. If something moves fast behind cover the marker will move with it and keep going in the same direction, even if the target stops. Its a way for them to guess where you might have gone. The test I did with the ai is that I dont move at all.

    I been playing OFP/ARMA for a long time, dont even try and mix my words. You can say some, but its some to zero. I would love to get you video or a screenshot but xfire does not seem to work in arma for me. I also get nothing but black screen in paint.

    Walker I have done my own test and the AI can see you through bushes very easy. I will try and get some screen shots to show you the test I ran. This has been the same for the ai all the way back from 2001
  15. This may be so but this is offical BIS made addons so more people might get it. I do think the cost would have been ok If they had a new map with it. btw the screen shots of the new stuff looks really nice

  17. OFP was great, what other game could touch it Not really to crazy about the new maps that are not islands though. I would say that just have a unfinished look to them.

Was there any offical word on why there is no buckshot for the shotguns in the game, and not just a guess? I used to us a addon pack by InQUisiToR in ofp that I loved. I messed with the numbers a bit so i dont know what he had them set at.   19. Had a loss of color happen to me twice so far. I am not sure what happened the first time, all I know is that it was a used made mission. The second time is when I got hurt in a user made mission and my screen looked a bit dull, almost like night time. :confused: Going to do some more test and see if I can do it again. Have never seen this bug in any of the other games... ofp/arma/armaII

    OA color loss

    This also happened to a friend that has the game. I did not die in the mission (domination) I was just hurt. Its not like a full black and white color loss, Its more like night time in arma but not dark. The color came back when i left the server.
  21. Have they still not fixed this module yet? It would be a shame to see them bring out the new game before they fix this one. :confused:
  22. Any offical word if this is going to get fixed so you can respawn and have the SOM still work? I am not sure if they think this is broken or if its how they want it to work. * looks like if I stay alive it still has a problem working. Sometimes it will keep working and other times it will stop.
  23. I have not seen that many hackers in this game. The main amount of problems I see is team killers, and people that dont want to work as a team. I do spend most of my time in a locked server though.

If you want to be a prick about it then sure say nothing. I see no reason why he would not respond when asked in a nice way. Arma has very little players as it is now, lets not chase them all away. I just wanted to post here so server admins would know this is not the best way to deal with it. I have been playing this game for 8 years and never had a ban before. This is going to pm now with Halli.
  25. Yep, SPARTA server is very bad to ban for no reason. I would not say it but when you ban for no reason and then will not say why you did it.... :mad: I had a friend on thier ask why and they just ignored him. funny thing is I was right in front of a admin as he was looking at me he got shot in the back then bans me. this is no way to get good people in your servers.
