The UK cannot just buy Russian hardware off the shelf. This naive nonsense is about on par as saying that the Typhoon is outdated... On that note, can we stop mentioning navalising the Typhoon on this forum? It is getting a bit retarded now, you cannot simply convert existing airframes or, within reasonable time-line or budget, redesign large sections and workings of an aircraft to make it navalised. As far as the JCA is concerned, BK-1 is a B variant which is not the variant that the UK is procuring. If I am not mistaken the UK is locked into purchasing a few (4, I think) airframes before the production aircraft start to come so that picture isn't anything to get excited about.

    Assassins Creed 3

Wouldn't that just be Desmond? Goodness knows how much I'd like to see that lifeless fuck get his head cut off. Does anyone even care about the revolving story anyway, I shut my mind to all that visions shit because Desmond is the worst character in any game ever.Assassins Creed could have been a nice little series that starts with the Hassassins, lets say, and progressed as a story about individual characters of an assassin order throughout time. Why does it need such bullshit?

Anarchists can't be categorised because, by their very definition, they drop civics. Anarchism is the absence of politics because there would be no state in an anarchist world. It doesn't matter anyway, it isn't as if there are any Anarchists beyond the usual loon collection. I think you'd have to go back to the Spanish civil war to find anarchists with any numbers or power. Communism is quite close to my head and has been all my life. George Orwell has always been a personal hero of mine and I have studied this quite a lot in relation to him. Communism is too broad a term in my opinion, there isn't a massive difference between how Trotsky and Stalin would have ruled and yet Trotsky is considered left-wing while Stalin is always considered to be far-right. Since left wing politics is usually just a movement towards egalitarianism or movement against anti-reactionarys I don't see how either can be considered left wing by anyone. How can Stalin's communism, an ideology based on repression of political, social and civil rights, be left wing? It is the very opposite. Communism can only be considered left wing when all of those rights are part of the particular strand of the ideology and the general acceptance of all proletariats cannot be passed off as truly inclusive of all colours and ethnicitys (tenants of the left), as the Stalinist USSR showed towards the Ukrainians.

Did you list any? I am simply saying that the comparative numbers of both categories of those people are vastly outweighed by the far right and there isn't really anything to connect Communism (particularly of the Stalinist strand) to the left or far left. Anarchists, by their very definition, cannot be categorised in this way too. Are your personal stories based in the UK? I can't really relate to those stories, none are related to left wing politics in the UK, sadly. PM sent about the 2nd.

How can I forget people who have never turned up in the UK? How many anarchists are there in the UK? 200, 2000? How many communist members of any party have racially provoked kids and beat them up in the street? False equivalence isn't objective.

The far left are peaceful hippes and green campaigners, the far right are the BNP and the EDL so I would never say they are just as bad. Until the right relinquish their monopoly on racism, homophobia and sexism I think the far left can take a pass for all I care. As for your ad hom, don't project, I haven't preached Marxism or communism so I don't know how you would think that your "Socialist Worker" comment came up. They understand it, it is just that they think that selling all the national assets is the way to cure it rather than creating real growth. Our labour market needs to be moving towards the German model but how would someone like Gideon know that? Not everyone has rich parents to place them in a job.

Great argument, I was convinced by this. That sounds like a perfectly reasonable comment for someone who is not the Labour leader that isn't even close to an election. We don't know what the future will hold, personally I hope it will be a future without Ed Balls but whatever. I think you'll find politicians of all stripes doing this at different times to be fair. Just like cash for honours and this cash for dinners scandal that is about to rock this young government. Maybe David would have been the better option for the average voter but Labour obviously like Ed for the same reason that Torys, the obtuse masses and Blairites don't. Because he is a bit red, which I am too objective to say is a bad thing.@Dan. Torys just never understood economics very well beyond tax and debt. It mainly comes from their tier of the class structure that, sadly, our country still has being among the upper rungs of the ladder. You don't think up bullshit like "The Big Society", which basically means "don't get paid to work" unless your spoon fed.

So to cure supposed government diktats we just hand over a wad of cash in the form of taxpayer's assets and increase costs to the levels the Americans pay for their not free at point of service healthcare system? Your grounding is about as sturdy as a blancmange too, you seem to think doctors are in favour of this. No, lets give it to a private fat cat to increase profit year-on-year from peoples ill health. And, btw, why is a union boss representing the very people you proposed were in need of this ruinous reform is suddenly the problem? Make up your mind, your either for NHS staff or not. I think we all know that and agree but the point is that because they currently have the NI cap-badge we have a lot of The Sun and Daily Mail readers being swayed by a media bias like no other. Virtually no coverage of policy is what we get, the BBC is just a regurgitation service at present. I used to think like that, I agree that supporting one like a football team isn't sanity in my eyes but since the current crop of Torys are basically children of Thatcher on crack I have been worried for the wealth of the average person. True to form just about everything looks like its on the shelf ready to be sold and not a single solid set of policys to create growth or jobs other than the creation of a free, unpaid, labour force -- the worst salary reducing and most retarded idea ever.As far as parties are concerned though, voting for the Torys is masochism and the Lib Dems are basically Torys so what can you vote for if not Labour? Voting for smaller parties is like not voting at all.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/mar/20/nhs-reform-health-bill-passes-vote FML I already pay taxes for the fucking NHS, now I have to pay extra so that some cunt who went to Eton with Scameron can make a profit. The fucking roads are next too. Because, you know, we pay road tax and the largest percentage of fuel duty in the world so that the Chinese can buy them and cement our infrastructure in its 20th century form forever. Why don't all the Tory scum just go and live in America? Before all this they reintroduced slave labour and have an immoral organisation (News International) full of criminals at their back and letting them in No10. It has been two years of disgrace. Btw. I know nobody voted for this shit but if you did vote for the LibDems or the Torys, own up.

US Stealth Air Fleet mostly grounded?

Revealing.Since I am objective, I don't mind saying that the F22 is, in video game form, a quite nice bit of kit but this is reality. The main complaint I have against the F22 is that $60-70billion isn't a small amount of money to throw away and I don't see how people can defend waste on such a large scale when, if spent on real equipment, could be saving lives. Vanity projects might be good for the average 14 year old to spaff over but a 14 year old has not got the mental capacity to realise that with, the poverty and strife in the US, the wars and the strain on the public purse this project was a drain. I don't really care why, I don't blame anyone and the aircraft looks nice but what would I really want? More aircraft in the air over Afghanistan, more equipment and more troops or less than 200 aircraft that are too costly to maintain and would be instantly shelved in any serious combat, for which they are built?

US Stealth Air Fleet mostly grounded?

I love the F22 apologists, they are like the average youtube Christian. No matter what it is the best thing ever. I especially was intrigued by that Hayek/Mises apologist being in favour of an aircraft that is basically a costly failure of a public project. The thing about the F22 is, it wouldn't be supportable in total war, it isn't fit for current wars and it is unlikely, or be able, to be deployed ever. For that money the US tax payer could have 60-70billions worth of equipment that would have been saving lives and contributing more to the efforts the US military is engaged in or, if the 14 year olds insist, buy one very big mobile gas-van that can fly to get the same results as they have now.

Hostage Rescue Somalia - US Navy seals

Seconded. As a guy who really never believed in races and distinctions I found it impossible for anyone western or well off (that is to say moneyed, not just white) to live outside a 'white area' in South Africa and, even in the more privileged parts of Pretoria, we had electric fences topping the high walls of our compound.

US Stealth Air Fleet mostly grounded?

They have the nerve because' date=' after all the time and money they wasted already, nobody has stopped them. The F22 is a massive joke that has had the American people throwing their money at Lockheed Martin for [u']zero[/u] gain.

USA Politics Thread - *No gun debate*

Meh, the Iranians don't stand to gain anything from blocking the straits and are looking to resolve differences with the EU quickly due to the economic dent. It will either be as simple as a loud war of words to cover their backing down or, if they really are mental, we will see quick actions followed by quick routing to port from the Iranians. The US might have a problem if they directly attack the Iranian navy to prevent their actions because they don't want to radicalise any more serfs or make Iran mine the straits out of petulance.
  15. I fear for this game being a crap WiC so where uncertainty takes, piracy gives. Also, do I see a fucking CG Stingray in the database?
  16. Physics? Arma? What is this madness?
  17. Haven't QinetiQ been privatised? Wouldn't that mean it is legals impossible to give them any? Apart from being morally wrong, obviously.
  18. This concept picture has a wiff of BAE Replica about it. Either way, after the F22 was found out to be a massive scam America would have to have a very forgiving or masochistic populous to fund yet another advanced jet. Bring on the 14 year old flamewar!

No, of course, it is the time to resort to name calling.Bunker food all you like, talk as if you know anything about anything and name call all you like. Your contradictions, misreadings and general idiocy aren't anything to harken for a thinking person.

I better start putting a tin foil hat rack together. As much as I like to EU bash I can understand why we need it and why, in terms of culture and history, integration isn't a flawed idea. So Europe will remain close and will get more powerful because there isn't a reason not to and the people will continue to complain with no consequence. The Euro will be saved, you don't pull down a currency that cut the EU project in two and had taken two decades of political wrangling just because of political pressure.

Interesting VanhA-ICON. I was fearing the read was going to be utter tripe after the "cushioned the "West European welfare states" from facing reality" line because the blogger didn't elaborate that point. Nor explain how, after half a century of existence, European style welfare needs to be cushioned. The "warning to Britain" isn't going to find any open ears here on the islands but it is interesting to see people from the other side even bothered to appeal in such a way. I don't think, since Thatcher's children stumbled in, the UK will be worth thinking about, even in a pragmatic way, when it comes to moving Europe forwards. It might even be time to leave us in the 20th century, don't even leave the door open for the inevitable reversal when, in a number of years, the Earth is full of resource nabbing superpowers and the little Englanders like Dave and Gideon aren't donning the UNSC hat.
  24. If I could bring anything from MW3 to Arma it would be the character models (be they stupid or not), animations and that fucking awesome amount of money that they have gained from it. Oh, and the Leopard 2s that you spend 5 minuets with doesn't look half bad, unlike in Arma where tanks look as convincing as the cow boy out of the Village People. I ain't going to bash CoD because it is really quite a sound model of game that they have. It is basically a small interactive cinematic movie and a really toned, refined small scale and focused multi-player and that is all it claims to be. It shouldn't win awards for concept but should for execution. It covers the bases that I wish BIS would cover but never do. Namely, functionality and smoothness. For example, if you want to climb a ladder in a retardshooster like CoD then you can climb a ladder, if you want to climb a ladder in a simulator like Arma, you'd be lucky if you didn't get punted off the top of it and fall to your death. It functions as retarded action and is quite anal for performance and has zero head dragging. If Arma focused less on XM8s' and naked men pretending that they are in Fable on an Aegean island and focused more on smoothing and refining the animations and getting rid of the head dragging it would appeal to the RO2 and simliteâ„¢ crowds.

Praha (Prague) - what to do, what to see?

Turns out I'm going to Prague next June, is there a route for a humble nomad who just want to get absolutely shitfaced? A decent stretch of bars and nightclubs perhaps?
