  1. Thats odd, that island was removed a good few days ago and didn't make it into the release (it was a small test landscape you're not missing out). I don't know why it would cause that error though, if you could send me an error message from the RPT I could look into it though.
  2. Let us know if the problems with Omaha continue after the just waiting to be distributed patch comes out. If it still doesn't solve it provide us with a screencap or just a log from the RPT file so we can track the issue down.
  3. Do you get any specific error with Omaha? Is it crashing immediately or after some time/certain locations/actions? There are several DAC configs available if you de-pbo the mission files (Mp Missions - Paras, D-Day, and D+1 for german ones, and the SP Missions Scharfschutze for an american dac config) - also theres some for sounds using german/american voices. Yeah this is my bad heh, the coming very soon as soon as last min tests and then uploads are done patch should solve it! Sorry again for the need for the hotfix guys! (Patch also fixes issue with OpTarbrush mission which was CTD'ing). This is an intended feature only Officers get the map item, you can add it to a unit using: this addWeapon "itemmap";
  4. Heh yeah the patch should of been in the installer, but I basically overlooked it packing things up at 3am this morning doh! The Garand with M7 should fire like that, I asked the question myself heh, it operated slightly differently for the ability to pump off the grenade basically, hopefully we can get an animation in for the bolt at some stage like the other rifles. I'm pretty sure the springfield bug will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix!
  5. Then my guess is that you are not loading the A2 BETA shortcut correctly, its very important to get the shortcut directories correct: Target: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\beta\arma2.exe" -mod=beta;@I44 -nosplash Start In: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\" Shout if you still have problems after checking your shortcut!
  6. Just a note - don't try and play Tarbrush just yet, there's a missing unit used in the mission, it will be corrected in the patch we hope to get out ASAP! Yes we have British Paratroopers as well as the Commandos :D
  7. Seems my week of sleep deprivation finally caught up with me, expect a big fat hotfix ASAP! Apoligies to all! ---------- Post added at 07:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:29 PM ---------- That sounds like CO + CO BETA, as the mod isn't designed for CO that's probably the route of the problem. You need to run ARMA2 and the 72588 BETA. I'll do my best as we're currently organising a quick fix, we'll get the patch out first, then I'll see what can be done.
  8. Sounds like you're using Combined Operations (Operation Arrowhead), some features do not work properly in CO yet, the mod is mainly targetted at ARMA2 + beta 72588 for now. CO support will come in a future patch.
  9. When they patched ARMA2 to v1.07 for some unknown reason to this day, the mod refused to work. Thankfully the beta patch 72588 made it work again, so its required to play. The mod will probably not work with Operation Arrowhead STANDALONE, I don't have it standalone so have never tested it but we consider it unsupported. Combined Operations (ARMA2 + OA) will not work 100%, some features, weapons etc may behave differently (or not at all). We will be patching support in for CO in the future but for now you will see the best performance with vanilla ARMA2 + BETA patch.
  10. If you as an individual or as part of a group/clan/news site etc can offer us hosting for the mod's installer, please get in touch either by replying below or PM'ing me directly. Please note people posing as file hosts to get the mod quicker, you won't so please don't waste our time and delay the release by asking us to send you a copy. Anyone who does apply please provide the following information: -Website / File host address -Filesize limts Also if you know of any good free file sharing sites that support large files please post below! Thanks!
  11. Heh glad you're excited guys, hang on in there for the download links, Armedassault.info version has been uploaded, Armaholic on the way. Pass the time with some atmosphere building old school radio... http://www.archive.org/details/Complete_Broadcast_Day_D-Day

The SS will be coming in a later release, we had a few issues with their conversion from ARMA and fixing that would mean further delays. By leaving them for a future update means we can also spend more time on expanding their content with some extra bits (uniform variations etc).

Sorry about the Dropbox fail there guys, guess traffic was a little higher than I expected heh, the folks over at ArmedAssault.info and Armaholic.com have kindly setup local mirrors for the files here: http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=news&id=4684&game=1 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12442

No need to argue in here guys especially as this is not the official mod topic. As we've said before there's no way we can give a release date, as much as many of us would like to, we all have real-life to contend with so progress can be delayed for all manner of reasons planned and otherwise. We chose not to release an Alpha version earlier as they are generally too unstable for public release, as our main aim is to produce a multiplayer compatible mod stability has been very important to us. While most mods usually just consist of units and terrain I44 will include a number of MP missions on its release which have also been in development and testing throughout production to help ensure you all get something very playable, in those famous words... when its ready! If you'd like to make suggestions your best bet is to do so on our public forums!

Your best bet is to jump on our own public forums until we start an official BI topic again! http://ofp.gamepark.cz/invasion1944/public/

Don't worry, the mod's still being worked on daily! As qouted, JdB left the team and closed the threads that he had started, newsposts etc. Unfortunately we didn't get any warning about him doing this so were unable to start new BIS threads in time to link in the old topics before they were closed. Expect some new topics soon but for now we'll be using our own public forums and website to distribute information, and we'll have a BIS topic back as soon as theres time to between bug-fixing and tests! http://invasion1944.info/
  18. Someone mentioned the standard ARMA2 radio messages on youtube too so I thought it would be worth addressing, not sure if people are expecting us to reprogram and re-record every possible radio message here heh, but that just part of the game I'm afraid. If the voices are something you dislike there is the option to lower the volume or completely mute them in the sound options then the radio messages only appear in text. Enemy voices for the most part will be using custom german voices seperate from the radio so you'll hear them shouting out-loud instead when engaging them in the field. We do also have a set for American soldiers as well. Bear in mind its a mission intended for 32 real human players something that couldn't be achieved for the video, so the AI reports a lot more than a real player would. In the end if the radio messages are your biggest worry, the mission turned out better than I expected :D
  19. We do have sounds to hopefully replace all the Russians, just this group never got scripted to make use of them, and for the purposes of not having to reshoot the video lets say they were some poor russian conscripted into an Ost battalion? Ah now I've opened up a historical can of correction worms run and hide!
  20. Definitely custom terrain :) On top of the bluffs: Further inland: This image shows most of the Normandy map that's going to be included with the mod, note the objectives of this mission have since changed and are now spread over 2 seperate missions D-Day and D-Day+1 to improve performance and also to more accurately match the actual events: http://www.marss911.nl/Invasion1944/website/public/news/I44_10032010_1.jpg
  21. It looks like the latest ARMA2 beta patch (72588) has fixed whatever issue was causing the crashes we had with 1.07 so we're currently using the beta version until the next proper patch. However it was crashing on the initial loading screen with 1.07 rather than certain units but you might wanna check the beta patch out Topas, good luck!

    Where/how/when to buy ARMA2:OA?

In the UK here, decided to give sprocket a try and now I'm really regretting it, download's been pretty slow using their downloader and the EU server. About 50% through the download after 10 hours and now the speed has dropped to 50KB/s with an ETA of 18 hours... starting to wish I'd just waited for a boxed copy :(
  23. Ahhh yeah that makes sense DMarkwick thanks for the tip, I'll try setting up some special group sizes for these units and see if it helps!
