Maybe for 2.7 :) Covered it a couple times try searching the topic.

As simple as it may appear to be, the coding of a proper, or even mocked up bomb sight would be a hell of an undertaking, and as we have never planned on making a full on B-17 sim its doubtful you'll see it happen anytime soon. Though if you're willing to go and work on one we'd happily incorporate it when its finished. While we do try to include what we can of the air war, the damage system for planes is very limited, the planes from the Few mod did expand the possibilities with custom configs and we're looking at refining them further in the future but definitely not until after 2.6 is released. So until Take On Planes comes out you'll just have to make do :D
-
Not for 2.6 that's for sure. I don't know if bomb sight for the B17 would even be possible, ArmA2 isn't a flight sim so really not too sure why everyones gone quite so plane crazy past few weeks :D

I think the original air crews present in 2.5 were just from the Few, Yac since updated all of them except the US crews until now, hopefully we can continue to expand the variety of Air Force units as we go on. I just wish we had time to improve the planes for 2.6 but alas something had to be a casualty of the war to release, saying that plane combat is still a lot better in 2.6 than previous versions and there's also a B17 COOP mission that should keep you entertained I hope! Maybe... you'll have to wait and see!

While we try to cram every last bit we can into 2.6 here's a little nugget Yac just sent my way...
-
Unfortunately it does change enough to not work with the upcoming 2.6, however if you can send me a pm with the info on what you've actually added to enable that functionality I'll try and get it implemented in our stock units to save the need for the extra pbo ;)

The Stuka comes from the mod 'The Few' and we've never had enough people to fully integrate their units into I44, all we have been able to do is fix their MP netcode to have some functionality in MP at all. This is also the reason we have planes with two different damage systems, the planes we made originally never had the extra damage details added to them. We are hoping to do a lot of work on planes for the next release after 2.6, but with what already amounts to a whole nother mod's worth of content for 2.6 there really hasn't been time to address the issues of aircraft as well just now. Though Gnat has been working on some cool features for his FW 190 in preperation for the Air update. I'll take a look at the Stuka just to see if the issues you mention are still present but can almost guarantee if they are, we probably won't be able to fix them for 2.6. All I can say is the Air Raid COOP mission I made using the B17, and a 'Few' other planes does play really well with the netcode, and as a gunner I haven't had the bail out issue in gunner spots so if it does turn out to be a quicky fix I'll try and sneak one in but no promises. Edit: Just did a SP test and had no issues with #1 the gunner bailing out when AI, I'll try and remember to test it out in MP sometime soon. #2 Didn't seem to be an issue either, landed fine and drove into a tree without seeing a flip onto the nose. Its possible someone else squeezed some fixes in since 2.51 to them and I just plain forgot, or it could just be 1.60 patch + other fixed in 2.6 of I44.

Thats very possible, probably the center marker used for norrin revive on certain missions. As we have STHud in 2.6 as part of the base mod expect this problem to get looked at for our missions, custom mission makers will have to also be aware of the issues though. I know I've experienced it with some recent tests but hadn't been aware of the causes so I'll see what can be done.

#1 Thanks! It's been a huge effort from a large number of people over the years to get to where we are and I'm happy to have been a small part of it reaching you guys, the work the team continues to produce still blows me away and we're really looking forward to getting the next version out to everyone. #2 It's been a while since I've tried using a tank with AI rather than players so I'm not sure on the current state of things there, I did get shot by a radio operator on a tiger controlled entirely by AI the other night though so a non player commanded tank should work at least. In the new version compartments are open though so you can switch between positions quickly if you're really in a bind. #3 Sorry Warfare missions aren't made by anyone on the team so there's not much I can offer to help there. #4 The JU-87 was produced as part of The Few mod.

I've smoothed it out and let the water run a bit further up the beach submerging some of the obstacles, though its not as deep as I would have liked, the way water is handled the player tends to end up swimming in knee depth water which wouldn't have played too well. I've snapped a quick pic so you can see how it looks on the D-Day mission. There is a group list from a the previous version floating about though I forget whether it did make it to the class list included in the release. I'm hoping they'll be some time to expand the groups to cover all our new factions and if so we'll be sure to include any and all with the class list.

We do try to do this but really it depends when it gets completed by. It would be a bugger to release it before the mod and then find out we have serious issues with a unit that must be removed that people then start calling by class and end up with problems. So at the very least there will be a classlist with the release. Trust us we want to release it too, but we also want you guys to be able to play it for more than a week or two as seems to be the case with past releases. It seems mainly to have been due to errors which causes servers to really struggle after a while of being up so this made it pretty hard for anyone to maintain a constant public server. With 2.6 we have really chipped away at a lot of the old issues that plagued the mod, as well as continue to add new features which really change the way the game feels. So all I can say is I really think the waiting will be worth it. Also with the release of 1.60 for ArmA2:CO we're having to deal with a lot of issues brought up by the patch that are bugging out parts of the mod that worked fine in the past. So we're having to find ways of either fixing them, or reporting them to BI when they are things bugging out because of the patch. So please bare with us! Keep an eye out for further previews and slap on some of SFG's music to get you pumped!

Happy 2012 everyone hope you all have a great year, it should be an exciting one with our upcoming releases!

Flecktarn it is indeed used by the SS troops, in that shot you can see it being worn by the SS Tank crew units. As far as I know from the teams research guru Rebus, the german snow suits were reversable, so one side they had Flecktarn, and the other they had White, allowing them to switch camo as appropriate with a single uniform.

Ah Mars gave me a lil history recap, seems Johnsart did do some work with us a long time ago, I guess that's who's Jagdtiger it was we had floating about a month or two ago. So its possible you may see it at some point down the line. "Inv44_John" I'm guessing is JdB, if so he left the mod a while back now before the CO release.
-
Can't say I even know who that is so no idea, all I know is I did briefly see a Jagdtiger model we considered but last I saw it's still OPF level of quality/setup so would require a lot of work to combine textures and bring up to ArmA2 standards. No clue who made that model myself though, my guess is its long before my time in the mod team. There's no immediate plans to intergrate it but at some point down the line I guess its possible. The main issue with those types of tanks is ArmA2 doesn't realise it doesn't have a rotatable turret mount and the AI tends to face the wrong way ;)

Right now we only have a Winter SS faction setup, but the insignia is mostly hidden under layers and only a few have the helmet marker so you could probably get away with calling them whatever you like in your own missions :) We'll be expanding the winter sets more as we go on with future releases and as time allows.

I believe its an issue with the skeleton and the model being named the same so although the unit was thought to be fixed, the issue did still crop up randomly.

If you think the inside looks good, check out the exterior... Edit: For comparison - Google Street View You missed a great opportunity for a church steeple/bell tower pun there, dissapointing! :D

The joy's of WIP ;) Don't worry its just using a lower level shadow LOD than its meant to, they should be round by the time you're making yourself a target in the windows!

B@co just gave us a lovely Xmas present to slip into 2.6... here's a very small hint as to what it could be...

Thanks for the feedback guys, glad they're going down well! I f***in' wish... it would keep the people in RL off my back who keep telling me on a daily basis that I'm wasting my time and that I should get a real job like working in Tesco's, but alas we are still unpaid, which is why I will be applying for those shelf stacking positions near you soon, I just hope we can get it released before I get forced into that hateful 9-5! Believe me it was an idea we had a long time back several times over, and it was a real kicker when Liberation decided to switch from 39-45 to 1944, way to add to the confusion thanks guys! (I knew we picked the coolest year!) I'm not sure what the 'you know when' release date is, so I'll pretend I know its June 6th 2012 so we can boast about an early release... or not. Hopefully we'll be getting some footage or our new gameplay features & systems very soon, SFG has a great bit of footage to go with it we just need to lock down the interface and record it!

Couple more preview shots for you all, this should keep ya quiet Jon, you can see the new Hetzer, our British Infantry, the Cromwell, the winter version of the Tiger, alongside some German winter units, as well as a peak at the new maps (Omaha v2 and Winter Merderet): Amusing edit Altimeter, but Black is actually part of the testing team with his clan ;) Black if you post any screenies you're happy with over on the beta forums we'll check 'em over, tag any that we like and repost here if they're up to snuff, grab me over on the private forums if you got any questions for resolution size etc.

That would be the same as its always been, when its ready. There's no point us rushing it out now only to have to patch it again a few weeks down the line (or the next day). With Christmas and New Years on us I don't know exactly how much time the team will have to get a 2011 release more likely that it'll be an early 2012 public release, that gives us a nice chunk of time to polish the release meaning we can go straight to work on 2.7 after without having to focus fixing the same bugs we know about now.
