Arma II Officially Better Looking Than Crysis?

In terms of overall graphics CryEngine 2 is better than Reality Engine 3 (I think it was). It really shows in urban settings and vegetation. I think ArmA2 graphics looks freakishly sweet of course and I cant wait to dance with the barnyard animals in the field but there is no competition between these two engines. But Crysis paid hefty for their next gen mistakes because they rendered most of the consumer base with an unplayable game. Only top rigs could run it so the whole game actually flopped. I hate the gameplay in Crysis though so Arma is allways top on my list. Graphics isnt everything (not saying its not very important and arma2 doesnt dissapoint so far). -
Make taking out valued targets lower morale of troops. Lets say you kill an officer of squad, although someone takes over command it should lower their resolve. 1st shot enemy find cover when their leader dies 2nd shot sniper fire is spotted 3rd shot is the most dangerous one and a sniper needs to decide if he wants to take that chance or find a new position and start over again. edit! Of course if the sniper is backing up or being backed up by a firing squad then enemies would most likely engage the firing squad before the sniper considering the confusion.

Animated death is so 20th century. Hope they bring some kind of physics system into it. -
We are currently making some custom unit equipment for Armed Assault for intended use for our clan. We will probably be releasing a public addon of it as well. Its not based on anything as we just wanted to make some beefy looking system like you would see on action dolls or in movies. Anyways, here is our current progress shot. more to come as we get more done.

Plans are 8 different variations. Assault Squad -------------- Squad Leader Operator Demolitions Expert Medic Heavy Gunner Marksman Sniper Squad ------------- Sniper Spotter Variations will be custom thigh holsters and pouches. Vest will have different mag pouches depending on class, equipment on side and back. The goal is to beef them up. Each model will also get different headgear and sniper is getting a custom Ghillie suit. We are currently also reworking some things already done so we can release a good looking pack. We are also thinking about optimizing for ArmA 2 and possibly making a totally custom character as well. At least its something to look forward to, we will keep updating once we get further along.

Me and my buddy has been modding for around 8 years now and are looking to realize a fresh idea for Armed Assault 2. Its a big project and therefore we cannot do it alone. We will be trying to contact some established groups to see if they want to join in on this project. We believe it will be a very interesting and fun project to work on. I myself am doing Modeling and Texturing, perhaps some animating. Ive been working with 3D Studio Max for around 12 years now so I have some experience to share. If you want to join in on this project please drop me an email at provac@broadpark.no and let us know what you can do to help. Here is our current documentation and features. What we would need: * At least 2 more modelers and texture artists. * An animator for some custom animations. * Any scripters we can get our hands on. * Conversion guru for putting new content into ArmA2. * Landscaper for the new Map. * Sound guys for custom sounds. Basically its a script that goes through 10 rounds of shooting targets and at the end calculates a total score for each round. I get some errors in the first while {} do {} commands saying its expecting a script or code or something. If someone pro can look over it and tell me what is wrong with the setup id be very happy and maybe learn a thing or two thanks for any help that is given.

Thanks Namikaze! Now the script works 99% Only thing left is that at the end of each round loop it doesnt count the score correctly. if (not alive _x) then {_score = _score+5} forEach _target; actually, it doesn't count at all. At the end of the script it always ends up with a _score of 0. Any tips there? Maybe an alternative to check what targets have been killed and update the score before it re loops into a new round.

Operation Join CoOp Invitation to people who wishes to participate in a Multiplayer Co-op weekly. This is basicly storydriven co-op gameing made by two of our players. Probably going to be alot of fun if we get enough people joining in. There will be 1 official game a week where we will first play the the weekly chapter and perhaps do some casual gameing afterwards. The server will run on a T1 connection based in norway running on good hardware. We currently have 9 spots open, the first chapter will start when we got enough people for at least 1 fireteam. That means 3 more people. If youre interested in knowing more about this please send me a PM and il send you my contact info. Were playing on Euro timezones, english is prefered for enjoyable communication. The game will feature our personal unit creations. The players will get their own "skin" based on their countries spec ops makeing our squads with mixed nationalities.

If its a case of the bullet loosing power or height then it would make sense to aim higher not lower .... Depends on how far away the target is. The bullet rises before it falls.

Arma did not run flawlessly on my PC, even before the 1.05 patch. I've got the UK version of the game. Which version do you have? The demo ran flawlessly however... But not the full game. Well not flawlessly as in perfect, except for common bugs I had no major graphical issues in the game until this last patch. Now it looks pretty horrible along with some other mentioned problems. Thats why I am saying this is a game issue and not a hardware issue. It doesn't matter what version of the game you have, if it works in another version and not in example. English version that should tell you that its a game issue and not your hardware. For me now the game is unplayable so I just have to wait and hope that the next patch fixes this.

This is not a hardware issue, if you own a GTX/GTS card its not your drivers or your cards fault. This is strictly because of the patch, reason for this is that every single version has run flawlessly on my GTX up until 1.05 which started producing the same glitches you guys are explaining. Hopefully they will release an emergency patch to fix this issue.
