Yeah, Mlods would have helped earlier, mostly in scaling the few common components and gauges, but I'm kind of past that point now. I'm asuming that improved Mi-24 is your work? Outstanding! Lol, now you've set the bar I have something to kill myself trying to get over. -
??? How is disagreeing with you flamebaiting. Or is this your way of flippantly dismissing any argument you cant successfully defend against? Why do they neeed to defend themselves.? Yeah on to it, ATM Im having trouble getting O2 to preview beyond 24k verts per Lod, not sure what the actual limit is , or if there is anything that can be done about it, but I'm finding it quite a challenge. My pilot lod is currently about 40k verts and not yet fininished so I'll have my work cut out for me -

Well I supose living in universe where the ability to pull a trigger is based on gender, is fictional, yes. And of course the 'its just a game' argument counts, because that is in fact what it is. The only conjecture would be the weight that it provides to the argument. If you know what that is.

Ha ha. If only it was. I'd be just about finished. I kind of posted more to show the project is still kicking, And yes I should have posted higher quality pics, but they probably wouldn't have looked a whole lot better. You'll have to hang out for the full pilot Lod in a few weeks :p I was hoping for something a bit better, but when all is said and done this is realy for an externaly viewed lod, and the surface area of the Hind-A cockpit is considerably more than the Hind-D, but still requires to be on the same single texture. -

Hmm, looking at this image its difficult to believe that the high poly for the instrument panels is approaching double the verts of the 1st Lod alone but it is after all just a simple texture bake and normals on a flat planes. And its coming up nice and bold for the distances its most likely to be seen from. Hoping to start baking the pilot and gunners Lods in the next couple of weeks -
True, but ArmA is a game. VBS2 is the simulator many ArmA owners wish they had.

bahh!, this shouldn't be about judgement values such as wrong or right or how the selection process, or training of soldiers or some such matter leads male soldiers to ignore the basic priciples of safe effective triage.Bottom line in those situations is you need to prioritise your team assets. If you throw up stuations like 'you have 2 wounded unknowns, seperate gender, Who do you help?' It dosn't mater who you help if neither are on your team. Its about keeping ArmA relevant to its existing players and ensuring its broad enough to attract more. Is the lack of fighting females working for existing players? I'd say from the poll..not. Would the inclusion of females help broaden the audience? Difficult to say, probably not in a direct manner. ie tons of female players, but maybe it will go some way to improving and ensuring the depth of storylines and scenarios. And I see no reason to not explore these ideas or ArmA will only be remembered as a bang simulator instead of being all that it should be

Um is diffucult to say exactly due to the image , but it feels like the engine cowling on the zero is letting the rest of the model down a little. It looks like a black texture applied to an extension of the fuselage mesh but sould have its own distinctive form. Hey bracer, congrats on the release. Taken a bit of a fly around and some night driving and have to say I'm impressed. Realy like finding little scenes like the wrecked train tunnel that seem already to tell a story. Also glad of the more uncomprimising features such as the bridges and dual roadways, the AI will hate it, but it adds heaps of character. Not that I play it but I can see this being an unsupased 'City Life' map. Only crit I could find so far are that I think your use of the blue hotel from ArmA1 looks a liitle odd. I'd suggest making them the complete half circle as they were placed on Sahrani, having the main stair landing and baulastrades canteliever out the way they are is a little disturbing.But still great to see them again. As for the clutter, it actualy felt good in the urban areas, but I'd agree with metalcraze that it needs some more bush, and denser clutter out side the city. Though I wouldn't quite go Chenarus levels. -

+1 to GIMP, I have used educational versions of PS, but only the GIMP at home, it's good. Don't think I ever had a show stopper using PS files in GIMP either, and it has a big following so a quick google will answer almost any question. -

Hey Col. If your just taking screen shots don't be afraid to max your video settings and adjust your time of day for the best lighting effect. As for getting good images below 100k, I use GIMP which has a quality slider when using 'save as.jpg'. This basically controls color compression without changing the image size, fewer colors = smaller file size. Should be enough to say save a 1600x1080 @ %65 but individual images do vary. -

The hostages are realy just eye candy and there is no end trigger, but it does have respawn going so is basically endless and it can be fun to see how far the AI will utilise the stadiums paths after they have been reborn. Demo Mission soucefile for you to abuse and a tester mission containing just the stadium pieces, so you can feel free to simply switch the pieces in editor or use the stadium for some quick bombing practice or to use as a template without having to editor place the stadium. Be aware though you will need to clear the init lines of the pieces if they are moved. ------------- INSTALLLATION -------------- - place @PAFs_Stuff folder in your \ArmA2 folder and include the -mod=@PAFs_Stuff suffix to your shortcut. OR take the paf_stad_obj.pbo and paf_stad_obj.pbo.PAF_bisign and put it in which ever mod\addons folder you choose. -Contents of the MPMissions folder to your \ArmA2\MPMissiosn folder. -------------- USAGE -------------- - feel free to use thenm on your island - modify the demo mission any way you see fit - or just place them in editor.
