Hi, I have never been good at scripting or making more advanced mission in ArmA/OFP. So I have to ask the following: How do I make so that a gunner attacks a house when the player activates a trigger(obviously inside the house). I've tried waypointing from the gunner to the house with "DESTROY" and then, syncronize it with a trigger which should be activated by simply entering it's zone. But yeah, the gunner fires before activating the trigger so that does not work. Any help is appreciated! :edit: oh, the description is all wrong, haha. It's A shots B when B enters C.

I figured it out on my own.

No problem here with ArmA 1.14 and a HD4850, runs at 1600x1200 and everything on very high.

Japanese Self Defense Force with their awesome Type 89 rifle. Tho, you need that SDK for modelling their awesome armor. Awesome!

More Screens! Attack!!! Oh...f*ck! Look what I got on my b-day. Le foresto. Banana! Taking a walk...

Thanks, I personally hate imageshack, but what you gonna do... Some screens! Just crusing the desert. http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/9363/arma1ph6.jpg Ready to move out. Refueling... Help, I've fallen and I cant get up! Specs: Opteron 165 7800 GT 256MB 2048MB RAM

Can anyone recommend a GOOD image-upload site now when silentwhisper is gone? A simple and clean one. Just got ArmA and is screenshooting like crazy.

Are you sure about this or can somebody else give his opinion about this? I have a similar system and I would buy another GB of ram if it will improve my ArmA experience... More RAM is always better! 2GB is todays standards. ;P But I would lay more money on the gfxcard, as ArmA doesnt use dual-core anyway...

Aids? haha, no thanks.

I think I read in an interview that you could change tier on your car, like put it on your back and then go get a new one? Is this still true or was it just a rumour?

I like the idea with microphone! But not those regular mics but those walkie-talkie like ones. Could not find any good pics so I made one myself: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42985546/ But kinda bigger then how I made it. But this is just me dreaming away. ;P Would like to just take it and press the button and say "Mayday mayday!" 24/7.

How can you NOT know!?

No It wont have jumping, thank god.

Well, I'm screwed. Now I wont pass minimum 2Ghz req. FFS, Dual-Core is the future of gaming! AFAIK dual core doesnt mean (yourmhz)×2 Sure it does, Dual-Core = Two CPU:s with 1.8Ghz each, why do you think AMD Dual-Core is called "AMD Athlon64 X2" and "3800+" etc? Oh well, guess I just have to run the 200 player server on the other core to fill it out. ^^

They better make use of dual-core! Otherwise I dont even pass minimum!! I got 1.8Ghz Opteron 165, but dubble that and its 3.6Ghz. And OC to 2.6Ghz its an 5.2Ghz. How much viewdistance can I get out of that? ^^
-
Loves 3rd person view. The End.

Finally a new machine waiting to be put together: AMD Opteron 165 (hopefully OC to 2.6Ghz=FX-60) 7800GT 256MB 2048MB RAM nothing more is needed to be added.

Hi! I'm am now going to share my first idea here for the next gen game. This all came up to me some minutes ago, when I was playing the new free Track Mania game. Look below: And here I noticed something awsome with the grass, not only did it look good, but when you drive on it, it gets flatten! So you can see where you have been driving around. Now this and next gen game together made me drool. Not only would you be available to track down the enemy! But it would give the game a new kind of tactic, harder to hide in a big cornfield with a tank, if somebody does see the tracks leading in to it. Not only that, but on the pic above you can also see how realistic the shadows from the car is cast at the grass, now that would just be a bonus. Thats my little idea for sharing, thanks for reading. Peace // PriMo

Hi! Well lets keep it simple, I believe my computer got very slow sence I installed another extra 512MB Ram. So well, I tried the Single Player mission "Battlefields", that req. 1Ghz+. And well it dident suprise me how slow my computer is, I got 2-3 FPS on my AMD XP2400+ @ 2.1Ghz, 1024MB (overclocked), Radeon 9800 Pro (overklocked). So I guess my overclockning might have screwed up my system. It usually does that to me, so I'm going to format and reinstall. But just for fun, lets see your FPS in the mission "Battlefields". I'm sure there are those with weaker system that will have much more FPS then I have! So show em, and dont forget to mention your hardware!
-
Well I have reinstalled now. *horraay more space to put more ofp addons in* It did not make any super performance hit, but after looking at others config files, I see I was rather spoiled at 2000+ in viewrange. ^^ I tested the same settings as eestikas88 and got around 15-18 FPS. The rest I blame for the bad coding I guess. ;P Oh well, you cant have it all. :edit: and those FPS above is when my comp is not overclocked! I'm going to overclock right away now to see if I can press it over 20+ FPS. :edit2: okey, I have overclocked now to the same I had before reinstallation, and I get around 18-23 FPS. Even that the settings has been slided down, I still thinks this is better then 2-3 FPS. ^^
-
aah, thanks. Guess that explains alittle. Still as my harddrive is getting full and I got alot of crap from previous installations that I'll better make a complete format. ^^ But thanks for the info, and when I'm done and have installed OFP again, I'm going to return here and tell if there have happen anything with my FPS.
