    The Middle East part 2

I was just trying to get a better translation of the Koran verses that I had posted, since I had been told that they were grossly wrong. Anyways, the way I see it, the Palestinians fight in a way that says " We don't care about morals, we don't care about women and children" Their tactics target civilians. If they were waging a true gureilla war, they would target military. The IDF does over-do thier raids a bit, but are y'all saying that the palestinians aren't using excesevive force by blowing up a school-bus full of kids? If you truly believe they are doing whats right, all I can say is I'll pray for you. Mr. Picky

Ok, like I said, I am not a muslim, and further more, I don't read arabic. I got those quotes from this site: www.interesting-information.com/islam/jihad.htm If they are not literal translations, please point me in the direction of some. The Old Testament are the OLD laws. Jesus set up the new laws in the NEW Testament Gospels. Mr. Picky

Ok, I am not a Muslim, but I can read, and so can you: Here are some quotes from the Koran: Mr. Picky

Right on! Ok, I was generalizing, but what percent of the Israelis are commiting terrorist attacks? Zero! Even if you call the IDF's raids terrorist attacks, youhave to see that they never target civilians. If a terrorist chooses to place his sniper post on top of a building full of his own innocent people, he is only putting thier lives on the line, Israel has no other choice. Mr. Picky

Which one of those mothers would send their child off to blow themselves up under the guise of religion? Which child would do such a thing? Mr. Picky

Yea, I know, I'm just trying to say that I belive Isreal should have the land. You ask Why I think that? I believe that they are morally more right than the palestinians. They are just. Maybe I am the only one here that belives that way, but I know for a fact that I am not the only one in the world. Just because I have conservitive views, that doesn't mean I am wrong. If a people are not morally just, then they have no rights to any land. Picky

50 years?? Isreal was on that land long before anyone ever called themselves an arab. They were there for thousands of years. Now they have reclaimed thier land. Are you saying that it better to go ahead and outrightly attack civilians (like the Palestinans do) or attack a militant target (like Isreal does) who willfully place themselves in a place where civilians are in the line of fire?

Finnally, someone that agrees with me! Look, you all have your opinion, but I base mine on the actions of the parties involved. Israel uses restraint in everything they do, even though the palestinenis use below-the-belt tactics and seem to have no morals at all. The Palestinians want ALL of Israel. They will not stop untill they get that. And the fact is that that won't happen because Israel has one of the best trained and strong-willed armies in the world. How many powerful arab nations did they fight off in 1947?? (is that the right year, I can't remember?)

    Return of the king

I really liked ROTK. It was my favorite book, acctually I read them all together, in one volume, but by far my favorite. The movie did a better job than I ever could have hoped for. It was really strange that nothing more was shown of Gimli and Leogolas. I missed that. Also it would have been really nice to see the completion of Aragorn and Arwen story. Anyways, it was a really great movie, and I thouroghly enjoyed it.

Well I am not a european. I am an american, and I, and, well acctually, I don't have a clue what most americans think, and I am not going to try and speak for them, have the opinion that Arafat does have that influence. Think about the position Sharon is in. He is the leader of the Israeli people, if he does nothing, he will be critized by his own people. On the other hand, if he tries to defend his people, then the Islamic world and Europe will criticize him. Which do you think he is going to do, listen to his own or to Europe? What if there were people in your country, doing suicide attacks against your children and countrymen everyday, what would you do? When a whole school bus full of Israeli kids is blown up, your Europeans say nothing. But if one palestineni kid is accidentily killed in a raid in retalliation for that suidide bombing, then you all start criticizing Sharon. Why is that the case? Are Isreali lives worth less?

All Sharon is asking for is that his people don't get attacked. I think it is completly resonable to plea for your school buses to not be blown up. That's like saying if someone killed your son, you should just shrug and say that there is no way to achieve peace, why should I try. It is definetly unachievable to get a leader to stop caring for thier people.

    Xm-8 is a go!

Huhh?!? What reasearch is there to do? Are you saying that a bow-and-arrow is a better weapon than a Rifle? If gonna say my post was dumb, at least have the balls to say WHY!

So, I suppose that means that the Native Americans at the Little Big Horn had weapons that were so much better than General Custer's??? It is not the weapon, its the will.

    Return of the king

The simlmarillion would be far too hard to make into a movie. It spans what, 10,000 years? It was a great story, but too complex for the movies. The hobbit, on the other hand, would be really cool and a lot easier to make.
