Platoon's the best of the options given. but I consider these even better: FMJ, Hamburger Hill, M*A*S*H, Were Eagles Dare, Das Boot and Gettysburg (only 4hrs )

That's unfortunately going to be true. France will find a way to somehow (with the assist of the ref eventually) sneak past Portugal man I hate to be RIGHT! So you mean when a player gets fouled in penalty box, the ref should look to the nice Portugesian women up in the seats - or what? a healthy man doesn't fall down JUST like that... there was only a little if any contact. the same goes with the 1/4 final against spain when henry ran over the spaniard and got a scoring free kick for that. I could talk about the semi-final back in 2000 but I don't believe in favoritism right? by normal reaction you must mean that if one feels a little touch he should go down like he was shot between the eyes?

It was that way because of Mr. Cannavaro. He was the king on the field.

FORZA ITALIA! If it had gone to 11m decision I wouldn't be watching football ever again. Luckily this match was surprisingly entertaining.
-
omg what the hell was the free kick for??? yet another ref that is at his best looking at the world from the FRONT SIGHT side of my rifle there's only one thing we need: an earpiece for the ref which is connected to the SIXTH official who sees the action in slow mo right after the crime took place (Henry DID deserve a card for that dive which resulted in a scoring free kick). imo that's no way to decide the winner tho Spain really put lots of effort in losing that match and succeeded... again.
-
hey it was a good match, too bad the officials didn't see it! the traps actually worked but there was no whistle. seeing Spain on fire really raises high hopes cos they've never succeeded. they always find a way to be unlucky. I'd really like to see them finishing second after Argentina
-
now that's a serious problem a woman telling you how to watch football
-
I was just about to raise a big fuzz about that but hey brazil can do what they want just cos they're brazil.
-
So now the heat becomes a problem? Those guys play for living! I'm sure they're more than used to playing in "a bit warmer" climate. Maybe you can run around for 90 minutes, lose 5kg of your body weight in moisture during that time (all under direct sunlight) and still give a supreme performance? well not a supreme performance but they could at least try to make it look like football. that's something I expect from professionals.
-
Comparing those two teams by their effort I'd say Portugal should advance easily enough. England is yet to show what they're capable of and if they don't do it against Portugal they can start booking tickets back home.

If I'm not terribly wrong the -94 final was played in Dallas in the middle of summer and it should be hot as hell there. Still the players put effort in the match and it's one of the best 120min matches I've ever seen, even with no goals scored.
-
If they were exhausted it must have been from the warm up or then they've done serious drinking yesterday. This all just makes me wonder why the hell people can't play football like they played 20 years ago. Maybe it's just the money they get from the leagues and can't risk themselves. Would be a disaster to get injured and not paid...

Italy - Australia... DISGUSTING ! Every player in that match deserves a slow and painful death. I can't believe neither of the teams actually showed any interest towards winning the match and it's the World Cup ffs! There's no way I could describe my anger any further but it was 90 minutes of wasted life for me.

Operation Flashpoint: 5 Year Anniversary
PainDealer replied to Placebo's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
happy b-day OFP! many years still to come -
how are you getting all your points if you thought Holland would be "slaughtered" by Argentine? That would have been totally irrealistic considering the power of the dutch team. who knows what would have happened if they had played for real.
-
hate to say this but... I told ya
-
wouldn't be so sure about that one. argentina is on fire atm but are they going to risk themselves in a "meaningless" match? I sense a low scoring kickers match maybe even 0 - 0 of course I wish both teams will put the best effort in it cos this clash has potential.
-
England was lucky to get a draw there. Sweden was so much better out there in general.
-
horrible match! totally horrible! no signs of football after the first 15 minutes
-
umm the what? I didn't see any pressure there. making connecting passes in the mid-field to get good posession rate doesn't mean pressure actually but what the hell just happened with Sweden? first 15min they had an awesome momentum and after that barely anything putting a bit more effort than England did in their match tho...
-
crazy is a bit too weak word for that in this case. and there's this slight difference: greece actually played well
-
good show by Ecuador. germany needs a win if they want to win their group England and Sweden really gotta show some effort tonight or it's all over for them when the knock-out begins.
