    M1a - a1

I'm working on this M1A-A1 for my dune buggy crew: And my question is, does it have 2 fire modes like full auto and single shot? Or does it just have one fire mode, some kind of slow full auto? Regards, PSC

    M1a - a1

Looks like it's just semi automatic. I thought it had an automatic mode like the M14 as well. As far as I know the M1A is some kind of commercial M14. And I think it's the A-Team gun. Dunno exactly though. M1A Link

Ofp combat photography. No pics over 100kb.

No, I'm not Belgian. I'm German. But I studied a bit in the Netherlands, and I remember that they say "bedankt". I was hoping that you would understand it. To be honest, I just remembered this "bedankt" because it sounds so funny, like wrong German PSC

Nice screens, but most of them are too small

Thanks, included it. However, the format doesn't suit very well. Now it looks like this: http://www.tacticalblunder.com/~buggy/img/banner05.jpg PSC

I'd be grateful if someone could take some screenshots for me that contain some the dune buggy addons I made. I need them for the dune buggy website as banners (they will be randomly shown). Size should be 1024px X 200px, but I might change the size a little. I don't like the banner situation right now, and I'm thinking about how to improve it. However, the size will probably be around 1024px X 200px. Regards, PSC

    Speakers

<span style='color:#993300'>I have a VideoLogic SIROCCO Crossfire connected to my computer and a Soundblaster Audigy inside it. 4 Speakers and 3 subwoofers (actually just one subwoofer and 2 other speakers connected to the subwoofer channel). Sounds quite ok, but recently I tended to use my headphones instead because I don't like to let the whole house know that I play OFP. PSC</span>

    Question regarding tank optics

Not sure, but I'd say it's not possible. You define the optics in the vehicle section of the config.cpp, not in the weapons section. In other words, you can only define one optics view for a crew position in a vehicle. PSC
  10. I guess your tents ain't too big (the p3d file I mean). If I were you I'd consider to not use scripting to replace the net camo, but just use 3, 4, 5, n 3d models instead. Like that you can even vary them a bit. Scripting is a good option, but only if it's really necessary. PSC

    German wiesel mk20 mm tank

The textures inside the tank you want to be able to see through need to be paa's. If they are paa's, select the mirror textures, invert the selection, cut it and paste it in again. PSC P.S.: Very nice work. Looking forward to test it

Warning about i-tunes and america's army

My first computer was an Apple (G4), and I loved it. Now I have a PC because of my "addiction" to games. But I'm sure, if OFP 2 (and some other games) would run on an Apple I'd buy one again. If I'd have enough cash. In fact games and money (you can buy 2 good PC's for one Apple) are the reasons why I don't use a Mac anymore. But I wish Mac OS X would be available for PC. The operation system is just great. PSC

    Military buggy released!

I tried this once with a script (similar to the turbo script of the civilian version) but it didn't work. So I abandoned the idea. PSC

    Military buggy released!

With the setObjectTexture command. Place a dune buggy unit on the map and unload the default skin it has with the following command (in the init line): <span style='color:red'>customPanelling = true;</span> Now use the setObjectTexture to assign a new texture. I. e.: <span style='color:red'>this setObjectTexture [0, "\Buggy2\Tex\FIA04.pac"];</span> for the FIA 2 Color Savannah Pattern.

    Ferret ingame

I try to draw the textures myself with Freehand/Illustrator and Photoshop. I use photos only as referrence. Sometimes I also model certain parts with a lot of detail, render it with radiosity and HDR shader, and use the rendered image as texture. PSC

    Lost squad 1943

Yes it does (I think). You'll be the leader of the American squad then. Or you could also simply start a new MP game with AI on (would be the same as SP, wouldn't it?). PSC

    Lost squad 1943

A couple of month ago, when I was in WW2 fever, I tried my luck with making a little MP COOP mission. It's called "Lost Squad 1943". In fact I hardly really tested the mission yet. I only checked if it works on a dedi. server at all or not. And since I don't have much experience with mission making I don't know if it is too weak or difficult at all. I made lots of use of the "probability of presence" feature. So sometimes it might seem too easy, sometimes too hard. Also I don't know if the ending triggers work fine. Some features of the mission: <ul> [*]12 Slots for West (America) [*]1 Slot for East (Germany). Thats not a mistake, I've done that on purpose [*]Atmospheric Cutscene with custom speech sounds (I recorded them myself with my own voice ) [*]Multiple endings (one win, two lost endings) [*]Invasion 1944 Demo Addons and EditorUpdate used [*]Oh well, thats all I can think of right now Grab the mission here: Lost Squad 1943 Please post suggestions/improvements/bug reports here. Regards, PSC

    Military buggy released!

Thanks for the hint. I checked the texture prefixes of the flames, but they seemes to be correct. Also I tested this ingame (removed the civilian buggy from my addons folder). But still everything worked fine. No missing textures on my combuter. I can't reproduce the error. PSC

    Military buggy released!

Damn, I completely forgot that I added the unarmed version Well, too late to remove the MG now (at least for the first release). About the parachute scrip: I did not include it within the PBO because you wouldn't be able to change the drop hight anymore. But I have an idea now. Instead of writing the heigth into the script, I could write a variable name, and the variable would be set in the init line of the addon in the editor. Maybe I'll include the script in case that I update the buggy. PSC P.S.: If someone makes a better script for the parachute drop (basically a smoother landing), I'd be grateful. P.P.S.: I wanted to add a script that unflips the buggy, but only if the buggy is flipped upside down, and the driver is not inside. In other words, you'd have to get out to unflip it (which is more realistic). I had no idea on how to archive that though, so I canceled it.
  24. My fault. I'm updating the addon right now. In case you don't wanna download it again, simply add the textures manually via the init line with the setObjectTexture command (Russland.pac = Russ.pac, and BlackOp.pac = SpOp01.pac). PSC
  25. I released my new dune buggy addon. You can grab it here: buggy.tacticalblunder.com It should be AAE compatible, but I admit, I "bend" the AAE rules a bit. The tag for this addon is "Bug". Everything (addon PBO, mission names) starts with "Bug". Not sure if this is 100% correctly, but tecnically it's not wrong. Some features of the buggy are: <ul> [*]Random Visual Appearance [*]Random Numbering [*]Nitro Boost Check the included readme and PDF for further information. Regards, PSC
