It was an accident. NY Yankees pitcher was piloting it.

ahh.. I can see that now.

http://www.arma-zone.pl/modules....pl1.jpg What is that on his back? I can make out the tripod, but what is the weapon? also, why are the magazines in his ammo pouch bright red?
-
I was wondering the same thing!

That looks great! i concur excellent job there cobra I agree. Perhaps you could try swapping the stryker on the front for the tank that's currently on the back. How would that look?
-
i completly agree, but you cant go around regarding Islam as terrorism, it just isnt fair or true. well.. You just need to be specific. I think Wahhabin Salafists is an appropriate description of them. Yes, that is a completely different discussion altogether.

Hitler was a Christian. Does that make Christianity the same thing as the extermination of jews? I think Hitler left Christianity and became an occultist.
-
I'm sorry if I was unclear. That is exactly what I was saying.

thank you very much for your useless contribution as always. as always? pardon me. Which forum rule did I violate?

Sorry for going OT here, but what the hell has Islam got to do with all of this? Indeed. Quite racist expression I hate to nitpick... but Islam is an ideology, not a race.

It was a shame that the communists survived WW2 while the nazis were destroyed. The communists then did horrible things that the nazis only dreamed of. I've always wondered what the US or the allies could have done to implode both totalitarian regimes. Perhaps the U.S should have declared neutrality and declined to invade France. It was obvious that the western front weakened the Germans enough to give the Russians the upperhand. Perhaps with some crafty work and stringing along Stalin, the allies could have helped perpetuate the eastern front for many more years to annihilate both the Wehrmacht and the Red Army and eventually cause the mutual collapse of both the communist and nazi regimes. Perhaps it's fantastical thinking. Addressing the Communist totalitarian regime in WW2 could have saved millions of Eastern European lives.

wow.. threadcrapped within 5 posts. amazing.

I would consider "walking on vehicles" more of a technical "stunt" without much true effect on the gameplay. I believe BIS's time is better spent on other things. That's my opinion.

I tend to think that ArmA will be like what Doom 2 was compared to Doom 1. The original game extended to its ultimate state of nirvana.

Could we get a transcript of what is being said in that video.. in English?

Thats already in OFP. lol. I know there is a regular smoke grenade, but I don't remember different colors. I know several mods that had them, but I want them out of the box.
-
<robin> What's it do? Nibble your bum? </robin>

colored and white smoke grenades for obscuring, target designation, medivac pickup etc etc... not very difficult if they really wanted to make them available.

Have you ever watched professional biathletes? The top biathletes are absolutely amazing with the precision shooting while exhausted. That is completely and totally beyond the point. What professional biathletes do has no relevance to ArmA. In the context of this, what I said holds true. I realize that. I was just bringing up top biathletes because they are, indeed, amazing to watch in this regard.
-
In my training, I've learned that you pull the trigger between the inhale and exhale portions of your breath. You can pause or delay for an extra second or two during that time, but you don't really "hold" your breath. Holding your breath for any period beyond a couple seconds would probably add a some subtle trembling, thus degrading your shooting. Have you ever watched professional biathletes? The top biathletes are absolutely amazing with the precision shooting while exhausted. I didn't realize that 40 rounds for 40 targets for qualification was considered "expending a large amount of round with a low accuracy". That comment is BS.

Yea! Maybe I got carried away with the sheep, cows, horses, dogs etc.! I'm happy for domestic animals to be made by the community as they are really only cosmetic anyhow. What I would like though, now that BIS is giving us rabbits, is for a few more wild creatures. Deer and foxes for example could add a lot of atmosphere to any sneaking through forest missions! Wild animals that are easily startled like wild deer can give you a heart attack when they suddenly leap up from in front of you and bolt off into the distance breaking everything in their path! The same with wood pigeons and other forest birds that get startled by your presence and suddenly take off from a branch right next to you! Or you spend half an hour sneaking up on that enemy hiding in the undergrowth only to discover it was a fox building a den! Then it bolts off into a nearby field alerting an enemy SAW soldier who opens fire in your general direction! Yea, wildlife if properly implemented could add a whole new dimension of immersion into the game! ..... If this is the case then I think we're nearly there! I imagine there will be quite a few firefights kicked off by a startled animal!

perhaps some enterprising modder could design and implement a simulated biological ecosystem.

the start of the Christmas shopping season. perfect!

pic Can anyone make out the weapon on the guys back? Is it a javelin? The large sighter makes the javelin look unique in comparison to other AT weapons.

I am curious if any of the AAR functionality from the VBS series will make its way into ArmA? I think it would be a nice feature to review the actions taken in the missions after the fact. Placebo?
