Thanks for replies, maybe I'm wrong, but seems that actual (1.08) way to manage the possibility to use vegetation as cover by humans is really poor...especially at night...but in this case I should tweak a little bit the video settings, because with actual ones, at times like 9:30 pm all surrounding environment is almost pitch black...suggestions? Have a nice day!

Hi all, does someone tried to play ArmA with this  mouse? What do you think about performances (...ok, ok, just performance, I just know about the price! )? Which kind of aiming device you usually use? Bye.

I ask only a single thing: Please, don't downgrade AA with any arcade style feature. Thanks a lot.

...Shadowy / OldFossil: What? don't give me that, I like my simulations as much as the next simguy. This was a filthy bug, which is why it was fixed...  The thing with real life is.. if I want to stop at a specific point ahead of me (even when fully laden), I start stopping earlier. My legs don't continue to run beyond the point I wanted them to stop at  lol And Shadowy : "estimate the distance..." lol it was completely random when it happened and for how long it lasted, I had "learned" to estimate it, and it was a pain in this ass. PS, which is why they fixed it. I swear some of you enjoy being irritated by bugs that can be easily fixed in games....Sadists. meh, its fixed now anyway  When you want to stop yourself at a given point you must slow down run to walk before you reach the point as stated by Shadowy. It's given to you to stop running a few meters before the arrival point, you can't pretend your carachter thinks where begin to slow down before you release the forward key. It could be possible if you, in some way, preset the arrival point, as when you give commands to other members of your AI squad. My impression, about the number of steps preceding the definitive stop, is that if you are into the maximum intensity and speed of sprint you stop farther than when you begin to be tired of run, so you get stopped into a shorter distance. Anyway I don't exclude that this behaviour could be in some way buggy...but in my opinion it reflects quite well the reality. Bye.

I start from the statement that ArmA is nerest to a simulation game than to an arcade one, so, have you ever tryied to stop suddenly while you are running? I hope that you did it...so think about the same action but loaded with a typical battle dressing and equipment...in my opinion ArmA simulates in a great way that situation. I hope that the future ArmA official BIS developements will be oriented to a progressive de-arcadization of the game. Greetings.

Hi. In my opinion Evo have most responsive, organized and aggressive enemies, especially the air units. The Dom gunships takes close flyby over enemy units without harm 'em, while Evo ones are really dangerous. To the other part I noticed that Evo MI17's takes long times hovering near the combat zone exposing themselves to rocket fire from below... Evo is perhaps better for people playing on the same server almost all time, but if one try to play on several servers, the military career progression coud be quite annoying, especially when objectives are quite far from the airport.

Thanks for reply, I think it was a public server... so you mean that server runs a routine scanning players and looking for hacking? Maybe my configuration file and that of a lot of other players was different from standard?

Hi all, I'm writing about a strange bug occurred last night while I was engaging a nasty group of Eastern units playing Evo Blue (sorry, but I don't remember the mission's version...I was into some german server). The bug causes the immediate and complete loss of all player equipment leaving him suddenly unarmed against foes. That problem occurred twice during the game...then i gave up. The bug occurred also to other players...there was a lot of people screaming up around about this

Yes, I also expected a dialog, but nothing. The automatic change happened after I ended the mission objective of the SpecOps guy, apparently triggered by the end of the beach assault at the opposite side of the town...very strange game behaviour. I also tried to disembark from M113 before order was given, but with the same bad result.

Hi all! yesterday night, after a very successful part as the guy that had to steal the Ural and the soldier's uniform and let the allied intruder get into the enemy base and destroy the communication system, I automatically passed to wear the shoes of the other guy inside an M113 to continue the assault to another town...until into the M113 all things has gone right, but at the moment to disembark: here it is the mission bug...when the guy touched the terrain he is died without any apparent reason!!! WHY?! Did I done something wrong? Does someone can explain that? Thanks in advance! PS: ArmA version: the shining new 1.05
