    Grass in Multiplayer

Okay, what is the setting on the server? Or.. how is it disabled? I could just ask the Admin to disable it. My specs are Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 3 GB Ram and a crappy 8400 256MB.

    Grass in Multiplayer

I have a problem. I can run the game on Very Low - Low settings, and it runs okay at 30+ FPS. Problem is that in some multiplayer games, it enforces grass. And not any grass, but very detailed grass that just kills my game. Some servers don't though. How can this be disabled? Is it a server thing? How should the server be configured to allow no grass?

    Fixed FPS?

I found a supposedly better Low Profile card. The X1600 Pro HDMI. Is it good? How will ArmA run with it? Or Radeons in general? Is it better than the 8400GS?

    Fixed FPS?

I have XP. I have a small PC case, so I need a low profile card Do you know any better ones?

    Fixed FPS?

    Dude, read the thread...

    Fixed FPS?

I got a Pentium D 3.4 GHz (Dual core, that is), 3 GB of Ram, and a 256mb nVidia 8400GS. Everything is on low. Shading on Very Low, Shaodws and Anti Aliasing is disabled. 800x600. I'm really surprised a computer like that can't run ArmA...

    Fixed FPS?

It's already on low. Nothing left to play with
  8. NooBefier

    Fixed FPS?

Exactly. So how do I limit the FPS? I know it's possible in other games. Is there such an option/console command in ArmA?

    Fixed FPS?

How will that help? The screen will only flicker and hurt my eyes. Besides, I barely get 25 FPS at most times. Is there no console command or something that limits the max # of FPS?

    Fixed FPS?

I noticed that ArmA runs a lot smoother when FRAPS is recording, as weird as it may sound. The reason for this, I believe, is that FRAPS doesn't let the game run at more FPS than it is recording at. So apparently, a fixed # of FPS runs a lot smoother than ArmA trying to get more of them, which results in jerky gameplay. Is there any way to lock the max FPS it can run on?

    Strange problem

Hello. I installed ArmA the other day, and I ran into a problem. After patching to 1.08, I set the graphics to Medium to see how it run. I got good FPS, and it ran smoothly, but when I run/drive/move around the map and the game loads more textures/trees/I-don't-know-what it slow down and speeds up for a split second. Kinda like slow motion, fast forward a split second, and back to normal till the next tree. First time I ran the game was on all settings to Medium, except post processing and anti aliasing that were disabled. 800x600. I tried setting everything to low, but the same thing happened again. I tried playing with various settings, but nothing helped except setting everything to Very Low. I have a dual core 3.4 GHz processor, 3 GB of ram and an nVidia 8400GS 256mb card, so there is absolutely no way I couldnt run it on at least low. When everything failed, I was bored and decided to set everything to High. To my surprise it worked smoothly with good FPS, but still those annoying jumps. I found a temporary solution to play at 640x480 resolution, but it's pretty bad. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I have the latest driver for the card I bought just yesterday and dx9.0c.
