  1. Some people don't hear their own radio squawk (without any voice activation set) and the radio works but they do have trouble to hear others - sometimes their TS crashs. Are there issues with TS3 + ACRE plugin or is this just Murphys Law? ;)

    Is it worth buying?

    Simple: A2 is standalone, OA is standalone and BAF + PMC = RFT is standalone too - all of them are set in modern time/war and made by BIS. IF is build on A2 engine by AWAR because they wanted to make and sell a WW2 game on their own. If they didn't want to make profit they would have made a Libmod for A2OA. Money makes evil... ;)
  3. Thanks for new bugfixes/updates + Unsung does run with latest CBA update and latest beta builds (admins just have to make sure that everyone runs the same CBA). MBG Nam and S.E.A. look like some nice places to battle and R&R (someday you need to include surfin the waves + Col Lt Bill Killgore). Now who got a Nam server up this weekend so SGT_SAVAGE can be the Nam super-tour special-guide and Arclight as air target for training/practise? ;)

  5. Dead/killed units "ghosting" or "reincarnate as ghosts" reported + visible in MP Wasteland and the "wall of burning flames"/"sky in flames" bug-issue too.

    Different times and settings of Armaverse - of course one can argue about personal preferences + favourites + feelings.... ;)
  7. Just guessing but could it be an issue about cleaning dead units from memory as 'active unit/player' ingame/mission or something similar? Sometimes one can see dead bodies on the ground, turn around and look back to see for a second such a "ghost" appearing/switching around.... comparable to LOD switching. :confused:

    Why games are rubbish.

    One could also ask why so many people are buying games/series without much thinking or informing themselves about it? Are quicktime events and other film effects + sfx are more important than gameplay and proper interaction?? Are games becoming more and more just eyecandy without much depth and demanding less from the player?

    If developers/publishers underestimate the work and time required to release their game projects - it's their own problem. Talking about "unfortunate release" and "overambitious project" after release shows how bad the project management and internal workflow is or was. Basically the consumer (player) only want to have a great time with the product (game) he bought. Guess proper internal/external testing game projects before release is something some developers and publishers don't want to waste time with.... better hope on short memory of players or to sit bugs/issues out until its "too late to fix them" (because of new awesome-splendid game project!).
  11. If you try default missions (SP/MP/editor) in vanilla A2OA and keep an eye on these things you will notice them. Ghosts are flickering for second or two over dead/killed units. Animation loop is noticable if you switch between rifle, AT/AA, handgun, binoculars.... this bug is old and made it somehow back. ;) There is also an animation issue if you try to reload your handgun while walking/running - arms are glitching into each other - visible in 3rd person too. Btw what about increasing default A2OA range of grenade/HE fragmentation let's say 5 meters as lethal deadzone and +15m as casualty-inducing radius (keep in mind fragments can fly ~200m) ?
  12. Imo if the author/creator doesn't want his work "just be ported" over A3 by anyone this should be respected even by the most impatient player/fan. Guess some addon/mod makers will be pissed off if they see their work beeing ported over and flying around in (many) bugged, "tweaked" or "customized" A3 variants. Better wait until addon/mod "...is done" - for A3. Keep in mind A3 is Alpha not final (!) and things, features etc might change through time. Btw would be interesting to know if AIA break or circumvent the IP rights of the author/creator? IIRC there were some legal troubles using certain tools....
  13. Observed animation mismatch/issue in 1st person when going from kneel position into run/sprint - arms are getting too high up like someone pulls them too fast up into the air. Old "stuck in weapon/binoc switch-loop" animation bug still active. Killed/dead units do still reincarnate as ghosts over their last position. HE rounds + grenades need a bigger fragmentation radius + it would be good and authentic to have a proper blast or shockwave effect for certain ammo types in default Armaverse too. :)

Keep these imaginations because some people are making a lot of money by just painting the world black and white. Guess all this new hitech stuff must be per se evil and it can and will be used only for war by elected US warlords.... :D
  15. This thread is about robots and certain technologies and not so much about speculations or "What IF..." scenarios. Just search on how many robots are used in the industry and where they do assist/support the production. Btw using specific sensors and materials can provide info/data to see what kind of chemical agents are life threatening. FYI Now back to robots and their use + role now and soon... :)

  22. Walker again where is the proof that LENR is now effective and useful - you keep on dreaming about since you found something about it in the internet and started this thread in 2012. "Soon" got delayed once again? Sorry but research and development on laser as weapon system is going on since decades.... as for those laser weapons they are LOS system, effective only in good weather condition (no sand, no dust, no smoke/clouds, actually they are even not capable to destroy maneuvering threats ....). Of course more research (= more money) is needed to keep such projects alive... hint hint :rolleyes: Please post something new about LENR instead of pushing your own threads up with sensationalism.

Default viewdistance in OFP was ~800m and many missions incl CWC/CWR campaign and default missions played just different or were broken if one would turn the viewdistance up to 2500 or even 5000. CWR2 is not adjusting or re-inventing everything just because your current A2OA viewdistance is much greater than it was back in 2001. It's easier to get used to improvements than to limitations. Maybe it's possible to create a less thicker fog for certain/specific missions or the "fog of war" very slowly disappears during mission time? Just some ideas for a quick try... ;)
  24. Don't know where exactly but I have seen those bright/white trees through NVG again. Do you need the coords or can you run a tool which checks the CWR2 trees/foliage on this issue?
  25. Andersson try to uninstall all of BE, delete the betabuild and delete the arma2oa.cfg (and your a2oa profile or just put it away) after this install the latest betabuild (it will ask you to install new BE). Perhaps create a new a2oa profile too...
