Back to previous betabuild - maybe a combination with spawning AI groups + new calculations does drop the performance down (or even worse - freeze A2OA task)?? New profile, new config and defrag didn't help or magically boosted A2OA performance... ;) -

Hmm... tried + tested vanilla A2OA with SP "Flashpoint" missions (Chernarus/Takistan/Zargabad) from thomsonb after 5-10 minutes I got stuttering/lagging and had to quit A2OA via taskmanager because it wasn't responding anymore. Only rpt and with only following lines with sound issues: Just a very wild question - is there a 'limit' for AI calculations set (highest/lowest)? -

Thank you very much!! Btw doesn't the AT-5 Sprandel /"Konkurs" has some weight (~15kg?) + bulkiness so its highly unlike that one can use it in a very gamey way like adding them to gear/backpack and using them very fast as crew/loader in a vehicle (with small hatches)? Maybe this ammo/shell gear+backpack abuse for crew units isn't only a oversight by RHS but also from ACE devs.... ;) -

Of course it would be nice if BIS could make a sci-fi open-world game like Arma with a dystopian background. A game with different factions, different philosophy/fundamental believes on each side and not somekind of superbalanced pew-pew content/features.... -

There are fragments which do fly around and do hit/wound someone in close range of the impact. Explosions are not that clean or tidy and within fragment/blast radius anyone incl. AI should not be able to take precise shots!! Just play "E06: Littlebird" and watch how unaffected/unharmed the AI disembarks out of just destroyed/burning vehicles and how fast they can turn, shoot + hit the maneuvering Littlebird. Something like a temporary shock and AI moving fast to next hardcover/hideout would give AI some "life" and increase the authentic or immersive points of Armaverse.... -

Possible solution could be that A3 players can simply select a gameplay mode or preset eg "casual", "default", "sim", "all balanced", "die hard", "customised setup" and join a matching server. Of course some awesome missions have to be made by BIS so people can have fun with A3 from the get go. Btw there is no guarantee that all or certain addons/mods will be back in A3 - priorities can and do change during life, work and spare time. -

Please increase fragmentation effects like wounding radius for all rockets, missiles, bombs, shells, grenades and handgrenades! Actual the lethal + wound effect is pretty low - just observe AI standing beside impacts and explosions without getting hit and firing their weapons like on a shooting range. Would be great to see/test such war or battle effects in vanilla A2OA before A3 release.... :) -

My idea is to have some options for players so they can choose or select how they want to play A3. So if they feel to play A3 in a authentic/realistic way they just select it and have fun - the same way for balanced fun. Guess a complete "mod/addon free A3" isn't the focus for developing A3 so people will still appreciate and play with community-made content no matter if its "SP only", "Coop only" or "PvP only". People do try + play with new/community-made stuff as long as it makes sense for them.... ;) -
One can say the civil war in Syria is a proxy war between Sunnis and Shiites (Saudi Arabia and Iran). Didn't Karl Marx said that "Religion is the opium of the people"? How to get people accept, tolerate and respect each other if they are filled with religious and fanatical hate? How many people got killed just because they didn't fit into someone's world view??

Yes, AI could be 'temporarily ineffective' because of impacts/explosions/shelling. So they would primarily + quickly seek for some cover to save their life.... :) -

Public isn't that great mainly because of the players themselve and their exploiting, cheating and their "CoD/BF/CS style" of playing Arma. Oversimplified balancing is imo short-sighted and supports mostly players who don't like or don't care about an authentic or realistic gameplay and assets. Maybe BIS will find a solution so players can enjoy one day a more casual gameplay and another a more realistic gameplay - for example via option/selection menu or button.... -

Thanks! Is it possible to get the AI "shaken" or "rattled" if missiles, rockets, shells and grenades hit them (vehicle) or close by? They are not effected (or not significant) and still able to make some high precision shots. On idea would be to force AI to move into the next hardcover/hideout, only able to shoot with low or lowest precision for a certain time. -
Painting the world just black and white is a bit simpled-minded but it works.... now who is liking, buying and making games into top-rated/top-selling list?

Hmm... were there some changes with ACE AI or does something bug them now? With latest ACE + beta AI re-act like in early days of A2 - very slooooow and using the Laserdesignators at too many times. Btw why the earplugs aren't issued on default to all soldiers/units? ACE defense ministry simulating budget cuts of the real military?? ;)

walker - who bought Codemasters? Who is the owner? Simple example: if you invest + purchase 'something' and someone is supporting this with his money - who had purchased this 'something'? Now go back to your first post and read it with more care and without bias - you see how fast you jump to conclusions? Another part of you statement: Please proof that bean counters and bankers don't know how economics work!! Neat sensationalism again walker, huh?

Still Balderton Capital invested in and later purchased Codemasters. Facts are facts - no matter how hard you try to turn words so they fit into your mantra/world. Always worth keeping a cool and unbiased view....

Try to find something more about it in the mission briefing or notes. Otherwise ask the mission maker.... some might have "just forgot" to add useful information. ;)

Codemasters were purchased by equity group Balderton Capital. Despite tinfoil hats they are still in business and still making + selling games. Who is evil - gamers who demand certain games/gameplay or game devs + publisher who only supply gamers? ;)

Guess if A3 is still about "Adapt/Survive/Win" players will have to deal with certain different or "unmatched" stuff and features. It would be a bit naive to think that any conventional military has no trump card/asset up in their sleeves and is only focussing on balanced warfare.
