    Maybe just a wild guess but maybe Mondkalb or any of CWR2 island makers do know how to make bridges smooth so AI can use/walk on them? If I don't mix it up Nogova bridge does work...
  4. Thank you!! Found few issues by just placing units and stuff around eg no ammo for HK MP5 in UK Special Weapon Crate and some lines about HK MP5 in arma2oa.rpt. And some of these "Protocol bin\config.bin/RadioProtocol_.../: Missing word..." and :)

    Wasn't the Mil Mi-40/42 project a development with a NOTAR system in mind? I've seen an interview with an Mi-24 pilot who compared the changes from Mi-24 to Mi-35 like switching from Lada to Mercedes. Hopefully BIS is trying to make A3 to feel like using a Mercedes in Armaverse.... :D

    @Zionist_Wabbit just look what kind of assets one can have + use today and compare it to those of the past decades. Why should one not use anything that is more effective and useful than the "old" stuff? Many things and systems get smaller, lightweight and portable....
  7. No complains - just thinking what people might feel or not with "exclusively available on.... " Better overview about "oldschool vs newschool" would be a unbiased comparison of dl stats (complete dl's) from websites and download tools. But its your decision anyway - so back to CWR2 and its new CH-47D! :)
  8. Guess people just like to see another download option (maybe as backup for worst case?) for new content/packs. Thought there is nothing wrong with optional oldschool download links.... To download a download tool only and exclusively to download certain addons/mods maybe feels a little bit like EA/Ubisoft forcing their DRM on people. Keep the freedom of choice and avoid the "monopoly (of comfy) "! ;)

    LordJarhead "Haste makes waste" - just delay the release for at least 2-3 days! At least just play some missions with the new upgrade for a bit on your own/with friends just to make sure nothing got lost or forgotten. JSRS fanboys might be too blind/deaf or too occupied with frenzy cheering or "forcing" other addon makers to build their own mods/addons "only" with JSRS sounds.... ;)
  10. Well clipping a gun/rifle barrel through walls and other solid objects should be a no-go. Imo somekind of body feedback feature/system for players body would be good so the player will have some troubles if he is doing something wrong or/and too fast.

    Well in the alternate reality of Armaverse many things can happen. Even more use of advanced technologies for surveillance/reconnaissance! Just look at developments of autonomous systems, C4I (command, control, communications, computers) etc. War in 2035 will be not the same like in WW1 or WW2 or Cold War era.... No one will start a World War without having done his homework and have some surprising trump cards up in his sleeves. Just think of military bases and important objects/places that are additionally protected by an armed CCTV system incl. FLIR, audio- and movement sensors. Or maybe BIS are developing some radar/electronic-warfare features so certain buildings/objects will be more functional/important and not just eyecandy? ;)

    Well it was really nice after an hardware upgrade to see something more beyound 800-1000m! But increasing viewdistance was a gamble - to be able to play throug a mission or not. Hmmm, all those creative destructions aka origami folds in OFP/CWA and instant-burning/rusty wrecks of A1/QG.... :D

  14. Make AI able to use their own backpacks to resupply themselves, if their own backpacks depleted make them use the content of backpacks from their team/group. Make AI able to work properly as a (small) designed team for example assigning them to an MG, AT team etc after the briefing (or in a new mission preparation interface/menu). Still let the player have an option to control + micromanage his own team/group so he can override AI with his very own plans and decisions....

    The freedom of choice isn't a dumb thing and most people do appreciate it. If you like to see more missions on all those islands - go ahead and make some! The I44 update is pretty new and most people aren't that quick to deliver awesome + great + flawless missions as you wish.... maybe next time have more patience before jumping to conclusions.

    Well you could make an option so the player can use a bandage or two and let a medic (or medic tent/vehicle) do the "full heal"/support. DAC is a nice script suite / addon too if you want some moar dynamic.... ;)

  19. After Action Report (AAR) feature/option = all players/admins can see and discuss what went wrong and what was a splendid tactical decision. :)

    Is Arma 3 authentic?

    A3 is not authentic in the sense of a military training simulation but it can be authentic in the meaning of BIS alternate Armaverse! Guess BIS like many other gamedevs will avoid any deeper background history or simply refuse give some detailed answers on "why-this-not-that" vehicle/weapon etc. At a certain stage BIS have to take what they think its good enough for A3 and their own profit. Companies do want to maximize their profits and don't want to close their business. Now how many potential A3 players do like to learn the pro's and con's of certain stuff and put them into good use? How many only want just another CQB shooter where they don't have to walk, drive or fly more than 5-10 minutes without enemy contact?? How many will insta-ragequit if there is no or very limited respawn/revive in A3 default mp missions? Just cross fingers that the A3 wound/healing system will be improved and not dumbed down like one can heal himself by just staying a few seconds hidden behind a object or using a magic medipack/injection....

    How to get people like a game and it's very own "authentic" character/style? Or is it better to have games that aren't so much different at all - except for graphic, sound and sfx??
  22. 1) "AI unit aiming bug" appeared recently: observed - AI fired Metis and didn't wait until missile hit/impact; expected AI should not change its firing position during such "manual" missile guidance/flight (except if there is a lethal threat from enemy). 2) Why does the Takistani T-72 deploy smoke as soon as he is hit via Laser (incl. Blufor vehicle FCS)? This vehicle doesn't have sensor "boxes" on its turret. Only the Russian T-90 should have a proper working "Shtora" smoke-feature incl auto-slew the main gun to where the laser originated from.
  23. How many devs worked on BF3 and how many on A2OA? How many $$$ EA and BIS have for their "triple A" developments? Different target groups ... apples and oranges. BIS build their awesome-splendid place between casual shooters and simulations. Cross fingers that new A3 animations/movements and interactions do feel better and closer to the real world. Perhaps weight, form and function of objects/features will be improved too? Something that makes the player think before he is going into action... Maybe BIS can include a few pvp missions with no-respawn and/or maximum of 5 minutes revive - so A3 pvp players in general take more care about their + others life ingame?? :)

Any talented dev left to fix all/most of the bugs and issues in current games?? Did Ivan and Martin worked on A3 alone - where is the spirit, strenght and confidence? Where is the "soul & balls of OFP" or is it a bit more convenient to hang around in somekind of greek tragedy-stasis? What should Ivan and Martin think if they are back and the answer is "Uhmm.... we have been only waiting for you all the time - the A3 project didn't made any progress, it's like how you left it!!!" :confused:

    DM please explain what is so "ungrateful" looking and asking for more/better informations about current A3 status from BIS? How is it wrong to assume that the upcoming "DayZ standalone" release get's all the time and care from BIS??
