With the wondrous plethora of patches coming out for ArmA2 , I'm wondering if these fixes will effect ArmA3 so that when ArmA3 is released , it wont be as "bug infested" as ArmA2 was on it's initial release.Maybe those bugfixes are FROM the ArmA3 engine upgrades and BIS just want to share those fixes with us for ArmA2, so we have a better and bugless time waiting for A3 :p

Also, you never know BIS may give their permission to use mission coding for non profit in the IF engine. Again, who knows?I (and some other from german G-G-C forums) know, because we already asked.
But it seems, that BE Warfare is "from scratch" so you just need Bennys permission to port it to IF.
Problem with no WF buildings in IF persists. So we have to wait for some WW2 buildings mods.

I'm not too sure about whether porting of the mission mechanics of WFBE can be forbidden..as Benny made it from scratch...if yes, he can do it again ;)If he made it from scratch you can port it to IF with his permission or he can port it. But if its based in BIS Warfare neither you nor him are allowed to port it to IF without permission of BIS.
As far as I know, Warfare BE is based on BIS Warfare.

You could play coops-missions for few people like "Steal the car" on your own. Just start a LAN server with password and play like it was singleplayer :)

Try to set your VideoMemory to "Default" or the option that IF autodetects. Changing the VideoMemory option could lead to random CTD's.

No, IF is based upon ArmA OA engine but they are completely different games. IF uses other addons files endings (.ifa same as .pbo).
And ArmA Addons rely on many dependencys which are shipped with ArmA and OA and most of them are not included in IF. You may get some basic addons ported, but for everything bigger than a simple script this will be a hell of work.

Now the path is open to convert Warfare BE..Sry to disappoint you, but Warfare BE is based in BIS Warfare and you are not allowed to port such missions to other RV Games. You have to ask BIS first.

I'm getting this exact same thing as well.Me too. CTD seems to occure when heavy weapons (a tank or a SU) in sight begins to fire.
I checked my graphicmemory with MSI afterburner, it was not full at that moment, arma crashed.
I am using a Nvidia Asus GTX 560 Ti. A friend with an ATI card has not encountered any CTD with this beta (while I got ~6). Maybe its related to nvidia cards? Or specialy 560 Ti (see post above)?
Regarding lot flickering: It seems, there is less flickering with this beta, but the flickering MadDog mentioned is still there an quite annoying.

I think there will be similar gamemodes for IF a few weeks after release. And don't forget the included coops.
I will port Chernarus Escape to IF. Maybe I can release a first version next week.
And I already have a dominationlike mission (altough it was not designed with domination in mind) and if you guys are interested, I can port it to IF (but help would be appreciated -> PM me).

Any idea when we get Lingor Escape?There seems to be some script/module issues with lingor. Don't know when I am able to find a workaround.
But in the meantime Scruffy and me plan to release an Escape-Pack with modified Chernarus (enemy uses more weapons), Podagorsk, Isla Duala, Celle and Takistan (BACKPACKS!!!).
At the moment we are testing every port and our own modifications.

Has the difficulty been increased in the latest version? Because we got absolutely reamed last night. 6-7 times it was a disaster at each attempt. It seems like an mi-8 would be on us within minutes. It would then hound us, seemingly reporting our position to every unit in the area. Unless we hijack a car to outrun the mi-8 and/or purloin a Strela, we are doomed to death by door gunner...That's normal since the early versions. At most sessions the Mi-8 is approx 1-2 min after escape at the prison.

A map that doesn't support the Civilian Module maybe need some kind of edit to add them. Maybe NeoArmageddon has any valuable experience here?Yep, Ambient Civilian Module should be removed on not supported islands.

Even so, having a Nvidia Geforce 8800GT as system requirement is quite heavy in my opinionThats not quite true. Last month I selled my old 8800 GTX for 20 bucks... its an very old card (3 years is old) thats not worth anything now.
You can get a good card of the current series for under 150 euro.
Is it a GeForce GTX 560 Ti (G3D: 2985) (rank: 14) you have now??? If so, now that's an insane card.Its not an insane card :D It is a "second edition" of the 560 and it is not even compareable to a "highend card".
It is a transitional solution for me. I needed a card to play Take on Helicopters (my old Geforce 275 GTX was a bit slow) but I wanted to wait for the new Nvidia/ATI series to deployand wait for the first benchmarkes in ArmA2/3.

And yes, I know my graphics chip in my notebook is very poor. Most time I use it in the lab only. My desktop has a 560 Ti and thats pretty good for every game. At the moment I am saving for a new card (probably Nvidia 6xx) to be ready for A3.

I have 9600M GT with Shader 4.0So you are using a Notebook? Sorry, but you cant compare a desktop graphic card to a mobile one.
8800 GT >> 9600M GT.
I have a 102M in my notebook and have the same mouse lags, even with 640x480 resolution.
Those system requirements are always specified for desktop computers, not notebooks. And that is a huge difference!
(On monday I can finally test CC on my desktop... yay)

If you just want to play CC, a normal desktop computer (~400-500 €) should be enough. A notebook that runs CC as good as a small desktop computer will cost probably over 800 euro. CC needs more than 2.5 Ghz CPU... most notebooks are under 2.2 Ghz for power saving/head exhaust reasons. It will be hard to find a "cheap" notebook, that nearly meets CC's minimum requirements.
If you don't play any other games and you have a notebook, keep your old one for working or whatever you do with a notebook, and buy a desktop for playing CC. This will save you money, headache and eyecancer (from notebook grafic chips).
