Same issue: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/269463939053304516/69271E50E93546713176529974CB1AE9A58420E2/ Will investigate now if it is related to the memory allocator. Used freds malloc until now, reverting to tbb4malloc_bi and testing.

The masks and glasses never really worked when script assigned by server. A few patches back that also applied to maps, compass and vests but BI fixed most of it. Not an issue with the mission/scripts but engine bug. Nothing I can do here.
-
Most likely a problem with the units containers or game bug with the map/mod. There is nothing in the mission to prevent item interaction.

Community Upgrade Project - CUP Terrains
NeoArmageddon replied to CUP's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Those objects are not for mission placement and will be removed (scope=1) next update (already mentioned serveral times). -

The visual update is not even released. I can't imagine the outcry if we would release a CUP TP update that only works with devbranch ;) -
Yes. CUP and vanilla. Have you checked your RPT? Traffic is one of the older systems. When it gets a rework it will probably get a setting too.

ASCZ fixes are indeed part of CUP TP but I am not sure the fixes for community maps are included aswell. I will check that. On the other hand it is more likely a configuration problem from FATA itself (maybe a bug that only came to surface in A3). Other maps from A2 work splendid with CUP TP Core without such problems. The small CUP TP team has a lot of work to do with the official BI maps and upgrading/fixing all the vanilla assets. We can't start retrofixing bugs in community maps. This is more likely a task for the maps author or somebody else that wants to create a hotfix/patch that works together with CUP TP (just like ASCZ did for AiA). Regarding HeroesandvillainsOS question: All mission that work in A2 and AiA work with CUP TP (aslong as there are no bugs in the terrains itself that make them incompatible to A3). It is simply: Terrains use p3ds pathes for the objects. CUP TP Core ships the p3ds from A2 (including updates, upgrades and fixes) and thus the A2 terrains are able to load in A3. That has nothing to do with missions. When they are scripted/designed in a way A3 can read them, they will work. -
Just tested and I have traffic there.

Community Upgrade Project - CUP

Yes, we discussed that already internal and come to the conclusion that the (new) website was phrased misleading and results in people demanding our source (yes, we really had PMs and messages DEMANDING we give them source access). We changed the text already and will push it live soon. Just to be clear: We are willing to share our sources with everybody that can put it to good use. We just can't put them in public space as they are right now. The project grew since the beginning very rapidly and some stuff changed. We have a lot of content from community authors that gave us their stuff for APL-SA release but the explicit right to distribute source. Also we need a way to enforce the non-monetization rule and prevent people from creating derivatives that are incompatible with CUP. At the moment we foresee a splitting in the playerbase when we release the CUP source: People will rip parts of CUP and release them as new packages (like "CUP without the russians" and stuff like that) without changing classnames. We fear that this will end in 100 incompatible and unofficial CUP versions around making nearly every server unplayable without the exact matching version. When somebody wants to use CUP as starting point for another great mod, we are happily sharing our upgraded source with him. We did this before and we will continue so. -

We can't fix the black water. That is up to BI. We had to make the choice of having glitchy water or none at all. What white garages? Is there a ticket? -
New lighting for CUP terrains
NeoArmageddon replied to metalcraze's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Absolutly right. Best example "All single launchers in CUP doesn't work!" "Do you have the ACE compatibility fix running without ACE?" "No, I didn't use ACE since a few month" "Did you have the ACE compatibility PBO in your @CUP_Weapons folder?" "Oh, yes, I have...". (Happend me just a few days pack, because I sometime packed the ACE compat with the wrong target folder in AddonBuilder and forgot to delete it) -

NeoArmageddon replied to CUP's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
You can already do that without source. Also, if you ask me, repacking an entire mod, because you only want 85% if it's content is not worth the time, hassle and saved space. You need to consider that on every update you need to repack the stuff all over again (or stick to your own, outdated version). -

Indeed. Also icebreakr is aware of this and will most likely fix it in an future update. -

What source files? We haven't released any source files yet. There are only the APL-SA licensed data packages by BI. -
New lighting for CUP terrains
NeoArmageddon replied to metalcraze's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Definitly not. Mixing PBOs from different AddOns in the same folder is a very bad practise. Always have such stuff loaded from different folders. A big share of bug reports and complains we receive are because people just copy pbos around. @metalcraze When you have joined our Discord, drop me a message please ;) -

We are working on a nice-to-use solution that wasn't ready for showtime yesterday. It is in the files and here in the thread just a few posts after the update-post. -
No, you can't unless the server allows that same AddOn you used to unlock the identity. Also you messed up your quote and you should remove images when quoting.

Somebody is working on it. -
Just kidding. That head belongs to Stavrou and you can unlock his identity in the options with addons like this one.

Good idea but that would involve rewriting the whole mission (mostly from scratch). So it is porbably not gonna happen in the next few month. Heads up for you guys: New CUP update released. The Escape setups with the new units and vehicles are already prepped and are in testing right now (actually since the weekend). We will probably push and extension to the 1.7.5 update at the weekend. Russians on chernarus, wohoo!

On our homepage the "Download" and "Armaholic" mirrors are already updated. SteamWS might take a while to get the updated data. Also kudos to tupolov for the splendid new website (design and content wise)!
